Above and beyond for the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a casual, occasionally daily gamer, I have no qualms about this machine's performance. Sure, on Turbo the fans can get noisy, but that's no trouble when you wear headphones or - considering the speakers are bottom firing but LOUD - when the volume is simply hiked up; when not gaming, leave Silent mode on and neither performance nor your ears will suffer. Display is bright enough for the price of machine, though text can look a tad fuzzy, however rarely. Keys are soft and hushed, with slightly more travel than say a MacBook, but less than a standard wired keyboard. Display opens with one finger! A testament to build quality. Highly recommend this machine to any casual or budget gamer!

Great for gamers on a budget!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a great gaming laptop for those looking to stay under $1000. The only complaint that I have is that it does seem to get a little warm after extended use and I would’ve preferred a larger screen. The specifications are almost identical to the MSI laptop currently being sold So it is definitely capable of performing at a high-level. Runs World of Warcraft with graphics on ultra settings with no issues using 10 MB per second Wi-Fi. Due to the technical nature of the graphics card settings I would not suggest this computer for someone who does not understand gaming hardware.

Best value laptop on the market
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop for my business after doing extensive research and comparison. It has a 9th gen Intel® Core™ i7-9750H which happens to be the highest rated processor on CPUBenchmark.net by about 1200 points over the 2nd place finisher (Intel Core i7-8750H). This laptop has two DDR4 slots expandable up to 32GB at 2.6 GHz, which would run you about $150. So basically, you would have the highest rated processor on the market running 32GB of RAM, with at least an entry level gaming video card for about $1000. That is an absolute steal and makes this unit a MUST-BUY in my opinion!

Awesome computer for the price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good laptop. Bought on sale for $800 makes it a steal. 9th gen I7 processor with a 1650 graphics card makes it a really good computer for almost any game or editing. 8GB of RAM is pretty good but this model can be upgraded nice and easily. RGB keyboard is awesome and looks great, great overall feel, keys aren't noisy. Overall one of the best budget laptops out there. Huge shoutout to ASUS for this computer.

Fast and smooth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system can play any game, video does not lag and works great, 512GB SSD although small, might need an external drive if you do video editing, for storage, USB is fast enough for the job. Memory can be upgraded, as soon as prices drop, will do a memory upgrade. Is a great choice, I consider it medium to high level system nowadays, specially under $1k system, unbeatable. Good

Super fast and manages my mostly older games with
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A decent gaming laptop for the price. The speed and performance is outstanding. My only quibble is that you give up a few things for that performance. The keypad is decent but there is no dedicated number pad. There is no built in webcam. Luckily my older laptops have those features. I use this primarily for games and use my older full featured laptops for everything else. Price point was fantastic.

Bang for your buck!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4/5 stars for budget, build quality, and performance. Possibly the best 9th gen i7 you'll find in the market today. Everything about the laptop is good, with the exception of the lack of a keyboard number pad, which is mostly just preference, and the lackluster built in speakers. Still 4/5 regardless.

Excellent mid-range gaming laptop.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had 3 mid-range gaming laptops from ASUS. This one is definitely more powerful than the previous ones they've brought out for this price range. Little bit of information for those wondering.. 8GB of RAM is plenty if you are gaming, searching things on the web, and listening to YouTube/Spotify and/or have Discord open. If you are going to game AND stream you'll most likely need another 8GB of RAM which is easy to upgrade. Keep in mind there is no webcam on this laptop. One small con is the audio is pretty base heavy, but for what's inside this laptop, and the price.. I'm not going to give any negatives just because of that. I bought this for gaming purposes and if I want to listen to music that's what headphones are made for :)

Great Laptop for the money!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m not a gamer but I wanted a reliable laptop my business and personal use. It has a 512 GB SSD but I also added a 1 TB SSD for storage and then I took the 8 GB of RAM to 32 and upgraded to windows professional and I have a really good running laptop. It came with the I7 processor And this thing is the fastest computer I’ve ever used! Great job Asus and also to Best Buy and knowledgeable Sales Associate Nabor Navarrette in Montclair, Ca for swaying my decision. My previous laptop which I had issues with the past 2 years was a entry level value HP device. I’ve learned if you want good quality and support you have to pay a little more for it! But it’s worth it. My ASUS Rog laptop was $999.00 but Best Buy had a sale and stole this one for a mere 749.00.

Nothing a Little extra RAM can’t fix!
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent laptop and a even better price! No issues with it and I’ve owned it for a while now! All the specs are great and runs like it’s brand new to this day! Only thing I would recommend to get the most of this laptop is to install another 8 GB of RAM and you’ll have a gaming machine!

Great mid range gaming pc
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this laptop mostly to play FFXIV and for sale price of 799 it's an absolutely steal; i7 9th gen is blazing fast and the gtx 1650 is no slouch. GPU has handled most AAA games with mid to high settings at 60 fps. Build quality is nice and tons of customization options. Highly recommend this hardware

Great computer for the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs programs excellently. Battery life is mediocre but considering it is a gaming computer, you're expected to be plugged in most of the time. I had ordered this laptop and it came in with a broken screen. I got a replacement and am astonished by the performance of it.

Good PC but has driver issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great laptop for the price. It was purchased for my son to take to college and still be able to game. A few days after purchase the keyboard stopped working. After trying several things we found on the internet my son called tech support. Their recommendation was to return it to the store. I noticed a reset in the test menu and tried that. Computer has been great ever since. If you check on the internet you will see this is a fairly common issue with ROG. Overall however, I would still recommend this computer.

Perfect gaming computer for the price
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this mainly because my previous asus gaming laptop died after some 6+ years of heavy use. I work primarily in architecture, construction and visualization and this machine works perfect for that given the price! You could run most CAD software perfectly, video editing, rendering, etc. Additionally it can run most current games perfectly at Full HD at 60fps. If you want a laptop to run everything 4K 120 FPS and such, obviously this is not the product and you would need to spend around a 1k more at least, so don’t be unrealistic, but for what it offers this is an amazing product, and very capable.

Great mid range gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had it for a few weeks now and it's really the best bang for your buck. It's base ram (ddr4 1xR 8gb 2666mhz) is going to need an upgrade, but just pick up a 16gb 2xR 2666mhz kit and you'll be fine. Also there are two sodimm slots on the motherboard. There are two hard drive slots (1 nvme and 1 data) so this beast is designed for upgrades and longevity. Screen is 60hz but is clear. Some have said the screen looks muddy, but turning up the brightness got rid of that. Clock speed is fine also (cpu), have yet to see any bottle neck between cpu and GPU. Speakers are lacking, but not bad. You can tell this was meant for either headphone gaming or plugging into a sounds system. Lastly, IO seems limited but it's just the right amount. No USB C, but 3 USB A 3.1. so not bad.

Great computer for anything.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is working great. I love the ASUS brand. I added 16GB of Ram and a second SSD SATA drive (Western Digital). There is an unused bay for a 2.5" SATA drive, along with the connector cable and screws. Piece of cake. (I always buy Crucial memory and Western Digital drives for reliability.) Note that this computer does not have a webcam and the screen is 60Hz only.

Great Laptop for Gaming and everything else.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had done some research on this laptop and it is great for gaming and everything else, there are few things the laptop does not have such as a camera and i can do without that. But as far as gaming you can game in silent mode without punishing performance too much. the worse problem i had with the laptop was picking it up when i had ordered it the bank triggered a fraud alert and it took almost 4 to 5 hours of with hold time on best buy and the bank. so before you make a large purchase like this call your bank first and tell them you are about to buy this great laptop,

Awesome buy!!! Worth the money
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this gaming laptop since Saturday, June 29th and must say I am impressed. The power this laptop has is ridiculously sick and I must say that even though I had to tweak it a little bit to get the settings I wanted I am not disappointed and glad that I invested in this. If you are planning to buy this laptop might I also suggest in buying a Xbox One controller with a USB dongle that is compatible with gaming laptops, a Logitech rechargeable anywhere mouse, and a rechargeable battery for your controller. If you are computer savvy or have a friend who is I also suggest in adding a 1 or 2tb sata 3 hard drive because installing game (especially newer games) could fill up your hard drive space quicker than you think. And note: to all new laptop owners buying a laptop with a SSD (solid state drive) do not try to format the drive, it could cause issues with the drive or possibly corrupt it. Now you might be saying that all this is unnecessary but believe me when I saying you will achieve a gaming experience like none other than this if you go this route.
