Here's the deal. I'd LOVE to have given this product a full 5 stars, but sadly the one I purchased was a lemon. I don't blame ASUS, Bestbuy, or even the dude who sold it to me. I blame no one I just got a lemon. I am coming from a 5 year old, and still kicking, Samsung RC512 that I game on daily!! We're talking WoW, Heroes of the Storm, Rift, SWOTR, Wildstar, and many more MMO's and MOBAS. So here's my feel, after upgrading....temporarily (wah wah), to this beast of a machine. Pro's - The full on 17 inch screen coupled with the NVIDIA 980 GPU creates an intense surrealistic feel, when you're playing a game like Heroes of the Storm or WoW on the highest settings. The sound from the speakers is top notch, and powerful. Testing this machine on Final Fantasy XIV: ARR, you really hear those cooling fans kick on and start working, a sign that this beast of a machine can handle almost anything. The backlit keyboard was a lot of fun to play with, the access of the ports (USB, Ethernet, etc....) was pretty nice, but at times a little annoying. I noted earlier that I had gotten a lemon so wasn't able to really get too indepth with this machine, but what I did get a chance to do I will note my least favorite items. Cons - It is said with a lot of the ASUS products, BLOATWARE!!!. The ROG series features hot keys for streaming, and Steam. Both of which tend to get in the way. For MOST MMO's the Num Lock key is pretty much the deafult auto-run, sadly the num lock key is now a function of another key (I forget which right now) and in turn is a bit of a pain to deal with. However, you can always hot key...right? Well sometimes, in this model, the Function (Fn) key craps out and you need to actually find the .exe that will allow the function key to work properly. A bit of a minus, and hopefully something that can be fixed. Aside from the bloatware, function key, and that stuff it's a nice machine. I am not certain if the issues with my wi-fi being slow was a side effect of either a. AT&T's slow internet, b. the faulty nature of that laptop, or c.just lag from Blizzard, but I did have some serious slow down on my internet connection with that laptop. Hopefully none of you have these issues. I DEFINITELY recommend this for those of you who travel often, like I do.

Ibought this computer as an upgrade from a lenovo and for more RAM it works very well and it comes with a box that has a carrying handle for on the go purposes, recommended.

This laptop is simply amazing......i only use it for my gaming needs. And let me tell you that with the gtx980m that this beast is packing makes it nothing less than stellar in regards to performance! It also doesn't hurt that it has such an amazing 17inch screen. This laptop is pretty big....and its incredibly nice for gaming or movie watching. I love the power of this laptop which is able to run youtube videos on 1440p as well. The G-Sync technology built in makes gaming supremely smooth and jaw dropping tbh. Seriously....there is nothing more i can say about this beast i haven't already said. If you are a gamer and want a beast product thats packing the gtx 980m....for a price of only $1600....which is nothing less of a steal on our end as this laptop should definitely be $2000 plus...then look no further. This is indeed thee laptop for you... I'm totally loving this laptop so far. I haven't had any problems after buying this, it's in great condition and has handled everything extremely well. If Anything does occur...i will definitely update it here. But there shouldn't be any problems. This thing is just working like a beast. It's held up 100% thus far and i've only used it just yesterday considering how i just recently returned home for my college summer break haha. Anyway, enough rambling from me...Basically so far so good. This is a must buy for anyone looking for unrivaled power from a gaming beast laptop that could easily serve as a pc replacement.

this was bought for my son. plays gta 5 and all his other games very smooth.

Not worth it has battery issues won't stay charged.
