It was purchased for gaming and that is what I do with it the most. It works so fast and has amazing features that most lap tops don't.

I've only had the ASUS GL502 for nearly a month and I'm loving it! It keeps up with the current games and I have not had any issues with it. I did switch out the HHD to SSD and everything runs so much faster! Very light when I carry it in my backpack and has a nice feel to it. Be aware it will have your finger prints all over it but with a quick wipe it's gone. Overall great Gaming Laptop and the price you can't beat it!

I got this to replace my aging Toshiba satellite. I'm a PC master race kinda gal, but I do use my consoles, and this thing matches or even beats them. It's actually rather light for how big and powerful it is. It does heat up after about an hour and a half of games like AC Syndicate on high, but it's easily fixed with a fan platform. I thought the red on black keys would hurt my eyes, but it actually makes it easier to play games, since the WASD keys are red on black. It's a powerful, yet affordable laptop.

Keyboard is nice, touchpad sucks ( buy a mouse), screen is good, hardware performance is good (why do you need new 10 series laptops anyway? ) the top of the laptop is a fingerprint magnet and it will stick yoour figner oil like crazy, buy something to cover the laptop the drive reed speed it notoriously slow, I would recommend you to upgrade this thing with an SSD. there are some asus bloatware on there, but msot of them are useful so that is nice

Purchased for my sons 17th birthday. He is having a blast playing over games. No lag and easy to use. Long battery life.

Love this powerful gaming machine. Play a lot of WoW and get 90-100 fps with all my vid graphics set to ultra!!!!

I am not a gamer, but to get what I wanted out of a laptop, I had to get a gaming laptop... After purchasing 3 different laptops and returning them, I ended up with this gem for a great price.. Product was being replaced by a new model, so the savings was great... I needed a backlit keyboard and this definatley has it... It even has 2 brightness modes... The PC is pretty fast out of the box with not much bloatware.. It does everything I need it to do..

Great for gaming on the go running most games on ultra with no hiccups.

The price to pay is well worth the quality of this laptop. Runs any game you can think of beautifully.

This laptop does exactly what I thought it would do and that is play the games my son and wife enjoy. The only flaw is that it took some tweaking to get it to perform at the level the hardware specification detailed out. Which with any over the counter computer is expected, even with Alienware. Overall a really decent laptop. Not a mind blower but it definitely matches its price tag.

My grandson loves this computer and the speed is great. He plays on-line with his friends

90 fps playing WoW and dota. Amazing graphics. Could have done better with the speakers.

I bought this laptop for my 10 year old boy for his games to get him off my gaming laptop. He loves the laptop and has so far not run into any gaming problems. Games that use heavy video are not bogging the system down. The only complaint I have is for better fans and bigger airing to the back. The laptop can get very hot. My son used his legs often tas a table to hold the laptop close to him.

Was looking for a desktop or to build a gaming desktop. Seen this and could beat the price as it was on sale and open box. Great overall feel, not cheap feeling. Graphics are impressive, memory is huge and fast. Screen is awesome. Portability for a gaming rig you can't beat. Maybe some upgrades down the road, but the HDD is super fast. Starts up in like 30 sec. Well worth it.

I love this laptop extremely fast after I put in a better hard drive, the drive it comes with is very slow, access times are sluggish and start up was to long, with the new drive this thing is absolutely the fastest computer I have had, and the graphics are clean and very fast.

So i got this laptop about 2 months ago and after about a month was experiencing serious heat issues with the CPU. All temp monitors i tried ( about 4) said the cpu was reaching upwards of 98 degrees C load. I took it to a guy ( don't use geek squad they overcharge unless u have the prot. plan) and he charged me $40 to look at it What he found was ridiculous. He showed me pics where they have globbed on the thermal paste for the CPU. This caused it to spill over and was all over the base of the processor spreading heat throughout the computer. He simply cleaned it up and reapplied thermal paste and since then i haven't seen temp averages of more than 85 load which is somewhat acceptable for me. Anyways performance wise the computer works great. I installed an ssd in it and it is now blazing fast. I took the rating down 2 stars sheerly because of the heat problem which if not fixed may have killed the computer in less than a year.
