Overall I like this machine, but I purchased it with the sole plan to upgrade to 32GB RAM. I purchased RAM twice and both times it did not work. The tech discovered the 2nd RAM slot did not work. Interesting that ASUS had put the original 16GB RAM into the only working slot. I wonder if they knew they were shipping out a malfunctioning machine. It isn't as sleek as my other laptop but lightweight and sturdy for it's category. I will be discussing with Best Buy if they will resolve the damaged motherboard issue as I only discovered it a week ago when I finally got around to buying the RAM.

So far this is almost on par with my desktop equipped with a 1080 and i7, absolute beast. My one fault with it however is the battery life and while it is made up for the insanely loud speakers 2 and a half hours is just kind of annoying.

I bought this laptop for a dual purpose. I wanted it for gaming and for school. Most gaming laptops are big and bulky and can make it troublesome to lug to classes everyday, but this laptop is thin and light and works perfect for my school needs.

Bought this as a laptop for running AutoCad and coding programs- outstanding so far. Sleek, functional, large enough screen to be able to inspect what I'm doing, and not too flashy or bulky.

Good entry level gaming machine. Storage is a little on the slim side Speakers are amazing AURA for the keyboard is a cool feature Heat management/cooling is lacking. Needs a thermal repaste straight off the shelf, and a cooling pad.

Worked great with Fallout 4, Oblivion. No Man's Sky has bottleneck issues and kept the temp up higher than normal. 90c is beyond my comfort temp for very long. 70-75 is much better.

I bought this for my daughter for her online classes. Everything runs so smooth. My only complaint is battery life. Brand new out the box, I could only get 2 hours max. This is with normal use, no gaming.

Great laptop with easy access to upgrades. Definitely need to upgrade the 128gb ssd but it takes about 10 min. Easy access to the ram and wireless card. A little heavy but feels very solid.a sweet spot to get a top end asus for $1500.

Set up took for ever while Cortana talked your ear off. On the best buy website it still states that you can get COD4 for free, but the promotion ended Jan 10. I'd rather have COD4 instead of Fortnite, so buyer beware.

Incredible graphics and runs so fast, just make sure you stay up to date on your drivers and watch out for firewall and internet security blocks for certain games. Must make exceptions or troubleshoot some games to connect.

This laptop has held up nicely with heavy gaming and school use. I do a lot of coding on it and it can compile some large files. I also was able to use it for editing media and playing AAA games at medium to high settings while plugged in (must be plugged in to use full GPU). With an external mouse and keyboard you can really do any usual consumer tasks. It can be a little heavy to carry around since it's so big, but it's still good for classes or travel. It hasn't overheated or throttled for me as long as the fans are set to high when using resource-intensive applications.

This laptop is great for Full HD 1080p gaming with a 120hz 15 inch display. The fan is a little loud when pushed. Also this machine has a full speed Thunderbolt port for hooking up external GPUs and other peripherals.

This laptop is so great in so many different ways. Great cpu great gpu 16gb ram 120hz refresh rate great storage and fast boot times with the ssd. Nice and thin with great build quality but there is one problem, and it’s a big one. The screen. I mean there’s no way to say it nicely, it’s terrible. I mean TERRIBLE. The ghosting on it is INSANE I’ve never seen anything like it. Why have a high refresh rate if a ghost of the same image is stuck on there? If they addressed the screen then this would be a fine gaming laptop that is also great for productivity.

The computer was a super light gaming computer but the battery felt too short for me. It was a 5 hour battery life so I guess it's too be expected but when you play a game it ends up being around 2 hours.

This laptop came recommended because it works with his Occulus. We have had great luck with ASUS gaming computers. Only drawback is that the battery is not easy to change out and must go in for service.

This was my first gaming laptop, I’ve had it for about 2 months now and after using nearly everyday I can safely say this is a great buy. The specs and the price are great and I love how the frame of the laptop is mostly metal. But there are some issues I have encountered recently, the 1st one is that the computer will freeze when I’m playing a game and crash. This isn’t coincidence, it had happened about 6 or 7 times. The other thing is that the fans are loud and the back of the laptop can get about 100 degrees hot. But even with these cons I think it’s a great buy especially since it has a 120 hz display!! Just know what you’re getting and what may possibly happen. P.S- Hope this helps
