First I need to say, I received this laptop as part of the Best Buy Tech Insider network in exchange for my honest review. I have special ordered gaming laptops in the past and really enjoyed spending hours at a time playing, but just seemed to drift away from it. Lately I have been wanting to get back into it and the Asus ROG Zephyrus M punched the ticket! I have been looking for a top of the line gaming laptop for a while and the GM 501 series from Asus has met all of my goals and expectations. If I can find any negative in this laptop it would be with fan noise. This laptop does make some noise when you are playing, but I don't think it is too much and probably not much more than other laptops of its type. I have tried to drive it hard and so far I haven't made it stutter a single time. I loaded some Call of Duty games, Battleground bad company 2 from a few years back, an old Quake 2 game and some new games like fortnite and PUBG. I would love to try farcry 5 as soon as I can purchase it. The screen is great with a 120hz refresh rate, the intel I7-8750H processor does its job splendidly and the Nvidia 1060 card is the 6 gb version and has run everything I have tried to play on the highest settings! The keys feel good, wifi connection is fast and setup is a breeze. I wish this version did have a 256 gig SSD drive for installs instead of the 128 but the other 2 higher version of this laptop have the 256 gig SSD. All of the versions have 1 TB FireCuda SSHD for data storage. I am a gamer wanna be with a Asus ROG laptop that seems like it can do it all. If you are in the hunt for a new gaming laptop, I really think you should give this one a look.

The hard to please teenagers, loves the gift. A little pricey, but bang for buck is there.

It was a great pc when I bought it but I would love to upgrade it soon.

I’ve owned this for over a year now and it still works like a champ has been dropped beat up and bumped and everything still working fine. One really really big downfall is the power supply port it’s very hard to find other acceptable adapters to fit it. Life would be so much easier for consumers if power supply inputs or more standardized.

Buy this thing! Faster than sonic. Smoother than a freshly shaved leg. It's great!
