|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had an ASUS ROG 17-inch gaming computer that I got from the Best Buy on Michigan Ave. in Chicago for over 5 years now. I use it as a gaming/video editing laptop. I wanted more power and portability and got the ASUS ROG 15-inch from Best Buy. For this genre, it is both light, slim and attractive. The build and engineering are both quite solid and well implemented. A brushed black aluminum finish with a ROG logo is very attractive. A rigid top body and lower case are made of aluminum, which keeps them from warping. The 5.5lbs weight is light for this class of computer. The keyboard is quite nice and has great ergonomics for gaming. It has RGB LED backlighting that can be synced to music and Aura compatible components. I have had no heat problems. Both the CPU and GPU are upper tier performers. The 120Hz display is good but only uses 72% of the NTSC color gamut. It provides great sound. Battery runtime is adequate for limited unplugged use. This is a very nice gaming/video editing laptop with great build quality, style and performance.
