This is a really great price for what you get. The HDD is garbage but I picked up a 512GB NVME drive on black friday and it works great. Laptop is very sleek and light for its price. I dont think there is anything better out there right now. Similar laptops are all much thicker and heavier. The only issues I have with it is the noise. The fans are very loud and I have had it shut off a couple of time for heat issues when playing games on very high settings.

I’ll be honest, I was nervous buying an Asus for a gaming Laptop but after a major fail with Dell and reading the positive reviews I went for it and I’m happy I did. My daughter absolutely loves this laptop. She plays overwatch, ring of alysium, rainbow six siege etc. she loves the storage space, speed, graphics, sound and the rainbow keyboard. She spends way too many hours on this computer but at least I’m getting my moneys worth. Definitely recommend

Had this machine for about a week now and I'm thoroughly impressed. I bought it mainly for the video card (geforce 1060) and big hard drive (1tb). I run mainly Battle.net (World of Tanks) and Blizzard (Heroes of the Storm) games and find this system runs them perfectly on Ultra settings. The gameplay is smooth and crisp with no graphic lag. The only small (but fixable) downside is the machine runs hot after being played for awhile but with a cooling pad that I bought from Targus the problem was solved. Video card and gaming aside the machine multi-tasks and runs everything I throw at it with no problem. Overall, if you're looking for a solid gaming laptop and you need something that can travel with you, this is the one. It's lightweight and compact and even with the cooling pad fits perfectly into the Case Logic case I bought. Even if I was home more often and bought a desktop I would still go with the geforce 1060, this thing is a monster for the price, I highly recommend it.

I've owned this for about 1 month now and have not had any issues at all. I previously owned a similar Dell laptop with the same Ram & HDD, but this has the added Graphics card, SSD and the additional fan option which I have already used on my overseas flight. No glitches or hang ups at all as of now - operates as promised. I'm not a gamer, but a heavy business user, so this gaming setup had all the features I wanted at a reasonable price.

Before purchasing this laptop there were countless hours of research that went into the final decision. In my opinion this laptop crushes the competition, specially at the sale price it was purchased at. Great keyboard, beautiful 120hz display, and full of innovative features like the anti-dust fan system. Highly recommend this laptop for its light weight and slim body and powerful graphics. Happy Gaming!

I actually bought this to do work on too (with some gaming) and am shocked b y its excellent build quality and speed. The 6 cores chew up huge data sets 4x faster than a quad core desktop and still has great battery life. It has all I want, multiple USB 3, a ton or RAM, lit keyboard, numeric keypad, a generous display and compact size for what this is. Way better than a tablet for sure, it just works and works well. A+

as a "High dollar" (over $1,000) laptop. love the ROG set up, everything is from visual settings to keyboard back lighting is set up to personalize with user friendly interface, Hybrid SSHD is a cool add in, something I appreciated after I had it a wile. if I had to pick something to criticize, the battery life is great but if all the gadgets and lighting is turned off it will make it threw the work do no problem. and a cooling pad was helpful for times of all night gaming. I cant say I would pay the full price ($1,499.99 ) but on sale I saved $450 and it was worth it over the G7 I exchanged.

This is a very nice gaming Laptop. I've been able to play everything that's been coming out on the Xbox Ultimate PC game pass. It does run loud when gaming and I wouldn't do it without being plugged in. Also one thing didn't realize when I got it that it didn't have a means to hardwire an internet connect. Overall have loved this computer.

Nice 120hz screen, doesn't have ethernet port so you will have to buy a adapter witch doesn't make sense since there is room and the laptop gets pretty hot so I suggest keeping the fans on overboost to keep it cool but other than that I highly recommend it play most new AAA games on high to ultra obove 60fps and having the 120hz screen makes the games buttery smooth

So mind you I have had this laptop for about 3 months or so now and by far it has exceeded my expectations. This is a gaming computer and I use it for gaming as well as photo editing and video rendering. I even occasionally take it to work and use it rather than the dated tech at my job, however I digress. Beautiful and rich color and while the fan can be particularly loud at some points, I can tolerate it due to the fact I know that instead of a fried computer it's managing. Could this laptop have the flap like most others do? For sure, but at this price point it should've come standard. Another con that I have about this laptop is the fact the SSD is so small, but what can you expect from a hybrid? And my final which is why I personally can't take it to work as often as I desire is the fact that Asus decided to remove the Ethernet port. MSI still has theirs, why is Asus trying to remove itself from being hardwired? So I find it a little bit of an inconvenience that I have to go out and buy an adapter (which I have procrastinated on) or just deal with wifi. I'll deal with wifi, Other than those few minute things, this laptop is great and an amazing investment.

Great performance as a high power laptop - I do not care for the gaming performance, just for the computation intense capabilities. Good keyboard - and looks great too. I think they also did a good job to keep the noise down, when the laptop works hard. Only improvement I'd like to see is a better battery life - I get up to 5 hours.

The laptop runs games very well and has plenty of storage. Battery life could be better but that’s just how it is with gaming laptops. It’s not very light but it’s also not too heavy. I love the rgb lighting and the ROG drivers that it has, they make my games run very smooth. Overall a great gaming laptop.

This is a must-have laptop, even for gamers. The build is sturdy and leaves you feeling like it's made to last. I was able to add on an extra 16GB of memory. Installation was super simple. It runs great with 32GB in it. The screen is super nice - colors are bright and you can see the screen from the side - you won't lose visibility. Battery life is meh (5hrs) but it is what it is. Just plug it back in! I did have an issue where icons would not save to the start menu for some reason. So before I started loading things up with a lot of software, I reformatted everything. That took care of the problem, however, the fonts weren't right. I had to download and reload the default windows fonts. After doing this, the machine has been nothing short of rock solid. I've been able to do some gaming on it without a hiccup, as well as some normal everyday tasks. This machine is an animal! I have not had issues with the fans being too loud or working excessively - at least not compared to other laptops I have had. I recommend this laptop... you won't be sorry.

My parents went to US and few months ago I was already planning on sending money so they could buy me a gamer notebook there at a local BB shop and bring to Brazil where i live, and it was the best buy i could have ever done, here in Brazil the same notebook would cost $2000, so it was worth for me to do that, and it actually is the perfect notebook for every task, i can play every game and stream at the same time with perfection. I'm so glad i can't even express.

Overall love the product, the build quality is great, plays essentially every game I want it to at great quality and performance, the ROG added software with the ability to change fan speed etc is a nice touch. The laptop is overpriced for the internals but I got an open box excellent at what I feel to be a fair price.

I have had this laptop for almost three days, and I am totally sure that it is one of the best decisions of my life! It's a beautiful laptop, the keyboard feels so good, the colors, the configuration, how fast it is, I liked it a lot (It's my first gaming Laptop). Bought this laptop to play Subnautica, Subnautica: Below Zero, Roblox, Satisfactory and also because my old laptop was quite old, I can not complain, all the aforementioned games run very well in it, however, if I unplug the laptop, the game can run a little laggy (Subnautica), I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, when I'm playing the CPU reaches up to 81 degrees celcius, the GPU is around 74-77 degrees celcius. It was a bit confusing to configure the graphics card from Intel to NVIDIA, I had to search for videos because I did not know anything about that since it is my first gaming laptop, I still configure it and I'll update this review as time goes by.

Pretty fast start up. No problems with MS patch installs. Plenty powerful for my needs. Keyboard responsive - Would have preferred slightly higher (raised) keys. Like the back-lit lettering. Good sound. Good number of ports - Would have preferred power port to be further away from USB and HDMI ports on left side. Fan on intermittently - not using heavy processing power...When it kicks on it is a little loud and distracting but probably would be on more of time if doing heavy gaming (so likely to less distracting) Good Screen - angle of hinges good. Good Deal for the price. (When purchased was significantly lower than initial list price - open box and the 10th gen processors are just around the corner) Haven't had it long enough to really make a full judgement about durability but it seems to be solidly built and I believe will hold up well.

I can say that this is a really great laptop at a great price. When I decided I wanted to buy a laptop, I had already set in my mind to spend the money in order to make a great investment. I'm not a gamer but I needed a laptop for future projects I would like to do in the future that had alot of space, fast speed, excellent performance and operating system. And boy did I do my research. I tried several laptops, read reviews and asked experts for advice before I finally settled with this one. This was perfect. The only two things I do not like from an aesthetic perspective is the design and touchscreen features. I understand gaming laptops do not need touchscreen features, which is understandable for gaming purposes but jeez the design is not too appealing. I was willing to overlook those two features for the other great benefits this laptop provides.
