IMO, Asus is the best and this machine has been great. It's a few years old now and still works like it's brand new!!

I recently bought a opened box at Bestbuy. I have been using and testing it for nearly half a day, and will continue to do so for another 2 weeks. The quality build is great compared to average built in Dell G7. Pretty bright screen for my taste, loud audio but not the best, nice RGB keyboards. Only 2 cons I have right now are: Softwares: eventhough it comes clean and doesnt have any bloatwares, it is a pain in the butt to go after all updates, drivers since many all of them will only be available on ASUS web. Furthermore, I am still struggling to make Asus Aura work, the app that controls RGB keys 2 The mouspad is decent, but there are many times where it is lagging behind my movements, and areas at the outer rear usually do not sense my fingers. Overall, if you can afford $1500 or $1300 for open box, it is a good deal. Dell G7 is the current big bang for the buck right now but it is still at $1200 after tax, and doesnt have RGB, 120HZ, thin base nor acceptable brezel.

buy it today! so awesome laptop! you can play any new games! like Anthem. Shadow of tomb raider and Metro Exodus! It have metal carcass and glam keyboard ! and looks so style! and of course what inside - New core I7 16 Gb ddr4 ram! and awesome GeForce 1060 gtx 6 gb DDR5!!!!

Bought this laptop to do some gaming and learn some coding and the like and this thing just does it. Doesn't want to slow down unless it gets hot, which the fans will take care. If you arent bothered by fan sounds or wear noise cancelling headphones this laptops is amazing!

I don't know much about computers but this laptop is been great so far. Love the quality and how fast it is. Only problem is I hear static whenever I have headphones plugged in but other than that it's been good. I also love how you can change the colors on the keyboard!

I've only had the laptop for two days now but thus far I have no complaints. It's smooth, quite, stylish, and fast. What more can I say? Everything I have played is on maximum settings with no lag. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking in this price range..

Had laptop for over 3 years and still works. The device of course has deteriorated in performance, but that’s to be expected with any device that’s 3+ years old.

This laptop is well built, has amazing rgb lit keypad, Not bulky, and wonderful performance. Best value for money you can get. ASUS did it again. was able to run all the latest games in ultra settings. You simple cant find a better laptop for the price.

When I originally was walking into the store, I had my mind set on a product from ASUS, just because I have a desktop that has basically every component from them. This laptop is my traveler friendly, but still want to game on the go version of my desktop. I overall love the build quality just because it feels sturdy, and won't break down on me anytime soon. I love how the CPU and GPU can handle mostly any game on ultra settings, as well as a great wifi experience (even though I bought a USB to Ethernet dongle for better connectivity.) I think overall this is a great choice for anyone who wants to have a daily laptop, and also wants to play some games on the side. Cheaper, and better than any razer product! DO NOT BUY RAZER JUST BECAUSE OF THE NAME! stick with ASUS!

I love this laptop, I am a back end web application developer. I picked this up for my personal projects, as well as gaming. At work I use a Dell XPS 15(also has an 8th gen I7, and gtx 1060) which is great, but I like this more.

For a good time with this laptop it is good and still works fine (a little slow thanks to being old) but perfect for what i need.

Great machine for gamers and photo editing. I bought this machine when it was on sale for 1199.99 and I am more than happy that I did. I bought this machine for myself. It is a strong machine for gaming. I am looking forwards into upgrading (maxing out) the memory to 32gb although it comes with 16gb already. Great screen display. Great graphics when maxed out for games like GTA V. (high detail). If you are a customer that is looking for a great gaming laptop under $2000.00, look no further, this is the one.

this pc runs all games like a powerfull machine the only thing that bothers me is the heat the laptop get pretty hot when pluged in and runing fortnite at epics settings

This was my first gaming laptop after switching from a MacBook Air. I LOVE IT. The keyboard is comfortable and easy to use, I love the numerical keypad, and it is super fast.

This Republic of Gamers Laptop from Asus is probably one of the best 120Hz 8th Gen Intel and Nvidia 1060 PCs I have used. This laptop pretty much flies with anything you throw at it. The fans are not bothersome as I have read in the reviews. I mean AT ALL. Even with Boost settings applied. I play Overwatch with Ultra settings and get about 90FPs. I've streamed and edited 4K movies in minutes with no hiccups. I would honestly ignore any reviews unless you've used the device of these specs. Then gripe. Otherwise I have a Desktop rig and I still choose to use this PC due to portability and lightweight.

Excellent laptop gaming, its processor is very fast and efficient for video games of last generation, it is a very elegant and robust model laptop

I have had this laptop for a couple years and it still surprises me when it comes to games. I currently play my Xbox games on it when i am out of town without any issues. Today i downloaded a recent game release (Warhammer 3) from Steam and it seems to do great on medium to high graphic settings. No aftermarket hardware modifications and still playing current titles. ROG Rocks

This is my 2nd ASUS gaming laptop and this one is much nicer than the model I bought 3 years ago. this thing is a beast!

This computer is great! Runs every game I throw at it and the graphics are great I would recommend to all my friends.

There are fan settings on this laptop and I use the high speed setting when gaming and it gets very hot still. It gets almost too hot to touch. The other thing I do on this laptop is a lot of development and so far, this laptop has been great for that. One thing I don't care about this laptop is the storage size. I will need an external hard drive if I want to download a lot of big games.I got this laptop to game on as well as do web development on. I haven't had any issues playing games.
