First - BIG ASUS FAN … I have owned multiple Asus desktops/laptops and the quality, performance, value is exceptional. This particular gem is extremely quiet in desktop mode and fan noise when playing Overwatch is expected but nothing like most gaming laptops. Lucked out and got mine as excellent open-box and Asus covers 1yr warranty from purchase date w/registration. Note: Asus warranty is voided if you install memory or SSD that causes any issues. However, BestBuy is an authorized Asus repair show and if you bring your upgrade components to them for install your warranty is in fully covered. I was told, by Asus, that your first tech support issue with BestBuy is free...if you have any. Personally, I have never had any technical issues with any of my Asus laptops. ROG gaming line is great.

I purchased this laptop so I could run software for architecture school. Rhino runs buttery smooth, and it can run large games the same way. My only problem with it is that the trackpad is trash. You will need a mouse.

Ive had this laptop a week now and so far its been great, Plays Oculus rift great. I would recommend it. Its a great beginner or expert Laptop. I bought an Open box for 1150, Didnt look like it was ever used. So far I love it.

I have owned this laptop for about a year now. During this time, I have had several issues with the laptop'and I am about to discuss them all. 1-Since the first month, I have had hardware issues with the laptop's sound. The laptop's volume keeps on going up and down on its own even though software wise, the volume bars seem stationary. 2- Two months ago, I was playing Dota2 then the laptop died on me. The motherboard broke and it took Best Buy a whole month to fix it and return it back (I own the 3 years extended warranty). This delay drastically affected my school work and my remote job. 3- The battery deteriorated badly even though I make sure the laptop is not getting charged when full and I have settings enabled to limit the maximum charging capabilities to 80%. 4- The keypad lighting glitches and gets stuck on one lighting even though I have it set to alternating mode. The only things I like about this laptop is its dedicated volume and microphone control and not heating from the left side where I rest my hand while playing. Definitely not keeping this laptop and exchanging it soon.

This product will give you a highly satisfactory performance in terms of gaming, file transfer, etc. The only thing I don't like about it was the screen, it is quite dim though. Overall, it a Very good laptop.

Great computer. Is very fast and of good quality. Runs games extremely well with no lag issues or anything. Strongly recommend this computer to anybody who does casual gaming and business or school assignments.

I got this laptop because my gaming tower is a bit too large to pack around HeHe. seriously though I'm fond of Asus products they have yet to let me down until this. I am one of the few that got one of the thousands of bad machines and sadly had to return it for exchange. It draws on battery power while gaming to maintain it's overclock especially while VR gaming. After your battery dies it drops to 1.9-2.0Ghz which made my games VERY shaky. I also had a problem with it not keeping my settings and the Bluetooth was spotty to say the least. This was very disheartening to me as I had high hopes because this is a nice looking laptop from a good brand. And if it can't run current games smoothly while plugged in currently how is it going to cope in 6 months to a year or more? When you spend $1500 on a laptop you want it to run the current games because the minimums for games in two years when you'd expect to replace it. It would still be able to run them. I just wish they would include a power brick that would supply enough power to keep up the clocks.

The graphics on this laptop are above my expectation. It runs games at a smooth frame rate and I think that this is an excellent gaming laptop for those that are barely starting.

This laptop is incredibly fast and efficient, I can save all my assignments from grad school while being able to download games and have it still be lightning fast and efficient!!

This computer is amazing, the performance is awesome. I was so afraid about the side of this computer but I was wrong, the side is perfect for games and movies. a great deal.

I bought this computer open boxed certified excellent, which means it was basically in new condition with all the documents still present. I believe the first person who bought this returned it right away for the same reason I did. That reason would be fan noise. I know a lot of the reviews said the fans were very loud but they were fine with it because they used head phones. I knew the fans were going to be loud, but the level of noise greatly exceeded my expectations. To give you an idea of how loud it is, it is almost like being in a plane that is taking off. I don't know if it was just the one I bought but it would get very loud and very often. I was not even using resource heavy applications with it. The most demanding thing I did with the computer when I had it for a night was play League of Legends. If you buy this computer, forget about taking it to the library, school, a coffee shop, or any where else you might potentially bother people because you will bother them.

I compared this to the MSI GS65 at 1,800 and the Acer Predator 17 at 1,500. This is essentially the GS65 with an additional spinning disk HD and $300 more dollars that stay in your pocket. I’ve had good look with Asus in the past and hope that continues. The Acer 17 is the same price and comes with a GTX 1070, but that’s essentially a desktop. I mean come on, who is going to poop with that 10 pound aircraft carrier in their lap? Not me. Oh yeah, fans are stupid loud when gaming, but thats expected.

This is my first purchase of a gaming laptop. And i don't know much on them but this laptop runs amazing and smoothly. I myself see nothing wrong with this computer.

Awesome computer for architecture softwares, and graphic design. This computer is the equivalent of excellent quality. It also has a unique design which I love.

After having this laptop for about 6 months the fans started to make a rubbing sound on start up. this comes from the chassis flexing. It is not as sturdy as it can be. Noise goes away after a few seconds. Do not expect ASUS support to help you with any upgrades for this product. I tried to get information on what it supported and ran into a brick wall. Had to research and upgrade it myself. Its good for gaming, but just ok Build Quality has alot to be desired.

I bought this computer and took my HP omen back. This computer has handled everything I have thrown at it. For the price there is not a better computer

I love this laptop and it functions perfectly! The only think I dislike is how there is no ethernet port and no dedicated microphone port.

Wasn't planning on buying a laptop until I saw this beauty on sale. Quality and performance is everything I expected. Love the design too!
