Awesome laptop ray tracing and 4K with HDMI out. Small and portable and easy on the eyes. Looks professional and doesn’t scream gaming laptop. When cranked up it can get hot and loud but it should be expected with the compact casing.

First i have to say that i had to go thru 2 other laptops before finding the one that works. The first one the screen stopped working and the second one it stopped working completely about 3 days after purchasing it. So 3rd time was a charm or else i was giving up completely. Well this one worked like a champ. I got extra ram and an nvme installed and it's exactly what i want. my only grip is that Best Buy didn't have the AMD version that i wanted but this one is doing just fine. Would i recommend it? Yes.

This laptop is a bang for buck. Had everything I wanted in a budget laptop. I got it at labour day sale and had a student discount. Has superb performance, lacks battrey life and gets a bit heated up but not to the point that you can't use it anymore.

I was entirely new to the PC gaming world and had done tons of research before buying this PC with some help from my PC buddies. Im pretty glad I went with this laptop, I’ve only had it for a couple of days but so far I’m totally in love. It’s almost overkill for me considering there’s a lot I don’t even know how to do, but it’s not a big deal. The keyboard RGB lights up real nice. The SSD boots up the pc in a matter of seconds. Almost no load times in any game I’ve thrown at it. The screen isn’t the most high tech but it still looks beautiful on certain games. The GPU and CPU tend to get pretty hot, almost to 70 C, but it can be helped with a cooling pad. The fans on it also get really loud but if you have a headset on it doesn’t really matter. Overall, satisfied with my purchase.

Bought the laptop on sale looking for a way to game with a heavy travel schedule. Turns out Covid shut the travel out of my life but the laptop is still getting plenty of use. Pros: great graphics can run every game in my inventory at +60fps. Color on screen is good. Nice to be able to customize the lighting and switch between modes. Cons: fans do get loud so best to have a headset. Keyboard gets warm under heavy use but nothing to be concerned about.

No issues out of the box, no real bloatware except for the usual preinstalled crap in Win10 nowadays. Armory Crate by ASUS is serviceable enough but the old standbys (HWMonitor, CPUz, etc) for power users are still better. Keyboard is well laid out and all hotkeys work fine and keys feel solid. Monitor has excellent picture quality and good response times. Sound has great bass and reverb, much better than some of ASUS's previous offerings. Stable performance on max/ultra settings on demanding titles (GTAV, Witcher3, Fallout76, Metro Redux etc) in the 45-70fps range. Medium settings stable at 90-100+fps. Casing is solid and and the light weight, thinness and boxy design feels sleek and sophisticated. Nearing the end of the yearly new model cycle so the current price is okay.

I had never owned a Labtop and been researching for months on guys and clubs and how much ram weither it be one or dual channel and what gtx or rtx to get. And the 60hz.or 144hz or more.its all very much, just to much. HANDS DOWN. I open the box. I was drowling how Beautiful the colors and the RGB AND SCREEN IS AMAZING. ITS VERY FAST CLEAN NO GHOSTING. The On Board Asus Controls, where the fan speeds and GPU and CPU settings are are very easy to use. The fact they left room to upgrade is the best you'll find in a Labtop. The price 1349. When bought was a steal in my mind. Only wish it had a Webcam and the windows glass tracked. Very pleased an will buy more Asus products in future.

Honestly I thought this had 32 GB of RAM when I bought it...but nevertheless it's still an awesome performer. I use it to edit video and play a few games and i have no complains so far. The screen is beautiful and accurate. The laptop itself is thin and not heavy although it does hot on your lap after a while. You will notice the RTX2060 performance right away it's simply lightning fast. I had bestbuy price match this over 15 days after I bought it when they priced it down by $250. They made an exception and gave me a credit. Kudos to Best Buy for that!

I have had this laptop for 3 months at this point. It performs very well. It tends to run hot, but that is to be expected so I use a cooling pad. It runs games smoothly. First I only played World of Warcraft so nothing super demanding but then got Call of Duty Modern Warfare and I gotta say it runs it very well. If you're trying to play on a somewhat regular basis and are not nitpicky then this laptop is worth the money.

After researching for months, I bought this for my son for his birthday as he has been wanting a gaming PC. He had located a computer from another Gaming PC website that he wanted and I took those specs and found this a few other laptops. This was slightly more expensive, but it came with more memory. I had a discount coupon for BB and that's what ultimately led me to purchase this laptop from BB, as it was the only one on the short list that BB carried. We are a Mac family, but there were games he wanted to play that were only available on a PC. Coming from a Mac, installing updates on the Asus through its Armory Crate app was a pain. Not all of the updates were valid or applied to this particular model. I ran into numerous install problems from the app. I had to go searching for different firmware and software updates from the various components. Took me 2 nights to get everything updated and running. As noted in previous reviews, this computer is LOUD, even when idling. It was often difficult to hear over the fan noise. After doing some research, I located the fans and played around with the configuration. It is a tad quieter now, but at the expense of performance. My son isn't playing the hardcore performance games (yet) so he hasn't noticed a problem. But I anticipate performance issues once he does. I would have given this 3 stars for the noise alone, but it works, it does what he wants to do with it and he's happy. So I guess that accounts for something.

First lets start with the good. the screen is amazing. I found a new love for watching nature documentaries on this laptop. Coming from a terrible washed out monitor, this is haven. The magnesium alloy deck feels pretty nice but it does collect finger prints. the keybord is not mushy and feels good to type on. The rgb lighting is fun and you can customize it. Doesnt shout 'gaming laptop' for people who want a powerfull laptop without gaming aesthetics. The red logo on the back is acceptable. There are different modes to select from fan noise wise. silent to turbo. but its not all perfect - the drawbacks are no biometrics no windows ir camera no finger print scanner on a laptop that debuted for 1700 dollars? The wifi card is soldered in and its not AX, so you wont be able to upgrade to any new standard - luckily its 2x2 so it gets some decent speed, or I would have had to return it - thats how slow bad wifi card are. Why its soldered down? who knows? Also, 16gb single channel are soldered in with one slot open for 32gb. Why not just 16gb dual channel in two slots? that would be much better. Like all or most gaming laptops dont expect it wont get toasty. it does have 4 vents and two fans though that seem to work well together. I wish I could have given it 5 stars but all in all its pretty decent for what I paid for it. 1.200 dollars on an open box unit. I always buy open box and never have issues and it saves money.

I am not an expert. My review does not list stats. Only a barebones review from a former gamer. As a lot of the reviews state, this is one loud machine if you are using it for games. It doesn’t matter what kind of game. The fans are loud! And it gets HOT! I had to update sound drivers. The sound from the ASUS Rogue speakers is fairly low quality. You definitely have to have headphones or buds to get beyond the speakers sound. Also, do not even bother to take this laptop outside. There is no anti glare and the screen almost disappears because of the Matt finish when outside. Also, if you are near a bright light. This is a real head scratcher. Haven’t researched this issue yet. I’ve had this laptop about 2 months so I haven’t contacted ASUS about the screen fade in the daylight. I would not have purchased the ASUS Rogue if I had seen this in person. But with COVID and the stay at home order, I didn’t have much choice but to make a determination whether to buy or not from reading tons of reviews. Windup...Beautiful laptop, absolutely love the feel of the keyboard and the lighting...satisfied with the laptops performance. Not satisfied with the screen fading to almost black near a bright light or outside. The price was around 1,450 and the laptop serves as a gaming, web surfing and movie streaming. My busted Mac didn’t play PC games, thus, the reasoning for the purchase.

The machine doesn’t have a battery, meaning it’s required to be pluggged in. The GPU does well at 1080p with no rtx. Adding rtx with this 2060 isn’t advisable. I would recommend a cheaper but similarly speced machine with a gtx 1660. It will yield you almost identical perf for a better price (no ray tracing). The screen is nice, though the higher refresh rate doesn’t make much of a diff with a card doing 1080p at 60 ( with little room to push beyond). The machine is incredibly loud. When the gpu is under load and cooling kicks in, its basically like listening to a lawn mower (or a distant lawn lower with headphones in). The cost to perf ratio isn’t great here. Returned.

Did a ton of research on other gaming laptops within the same price range and this came out to be one of the best values especially while it's been on sale for a few weeks now. Cosmetics are on point. My only complaint is that it does get hot under heavy load which is expected of a compact gaming laptop like this one however it runs way better after I upgraded the thermal paste, added 16gb more ram and another SSD. A cooling pad also helps too. If you know how to optimize your PC to run more efficiently, I recommend doing that as well so its not so cluttered with pre-installed software.

Decent laptop. The display is good at 144hz but the video card does leave something to desire. While good, its not excellent and in better games will suffer and especially at high res. The fan also goes at full bore and is VERY loud. I bought a cooler to assist and that seems to help. Loads fast and is fast though. If you need a top of the line, buy another machine.

This is an incredible laptop. It so powerful and fast. It’s very sleek and low profile. I wish the symbol was non existent. This machine plays the new doom game at almost max settings. Based on what I see, I couldn’t believe their was a higher setting. The graphics video ram is what limits the game from being able to reaching max settings (I have never owned a computer with as much video ram as this laptop). Don’t dwell on this. Every other game ran at max settings just fine. The panel is 120hz, something beautiful to see. This laptop is great for video editing.

I was looking for a light notebook to work while commuting and do some extensive gaming sessions on weekends. My first option was an MSI GS i7 8th rxt 2060 that on day 5 stop working... I took it back to BB and got this one instead. As I didn't study the specs I wasn't aware of the lack of web camera on the first week of use. It's not a deal breaker but its a strange decision from Asus. It tends to get really hot while playing on 1080 but it's expected since it's too slim. Everything else is amazing, its really slim and light! I love it! Recommended for a price around 1.500

I wanted a machine that was comfortable to use, yet powerful enough for my resource intensive work, as well as the occasional gaming. I've been using this for three months and I'm beyond happy with it. The performance is great, the trackpad and keyboard work well, and the display is excellent. I love that it can charge via USB-C. (Not at full speed, but this is still quite convenient regardless.) Weight wasn't on my top 3 list of concerns, but this thing is lighter than my 2018 Macbook Pro, but doesn't feel cheap.
