Performs to all expectations as advertised. The fan can be a little loud at times, but it's a great laptop.

Computer is solid and a good build. Keyboard had a lot of issues with the RGB compatibility and the Asus software. The software does not let the RBG work properly and keeps shutting off, this forces me to reload the software but it only last a few minutes before it goes bad again. Also lacked a webcam, something that I believe to be necessary for any laptop in 2020.

      Dear Habibi,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having persistent RGB issues with your laptop. That is absolutely not the type of experience we want any of our customers to have. Please uninstall all Aura and Armoury Crate related programs on your PC. Following the link below, please reinstall Armoury Crate and the ROG Liver Service Package. This should resolve your issue. I will also forward your feedback on the lack of a webcam to the Product team for review. If you have any general or technical questions, please email me at [email protected] and include case #N200586252 for reference.

      Thank you for choosing ASUS!

      Best regards,

This laptop is great for gaming with the 2060 RTX graphic, the only drawback is that it gets hot when you are gaming on high setting. With the 1TB SSD, you can download a lot of games with extra space left in the drive.

I bought this laptop to help aid in my game development. I needed a laptop with CPU and GPU power while also having a screen with extreme color accuracy. Pretty impressed so far even though it can get a little loud at times, but the thinness of the device makes up for it. The powered USB-C port is great for connecting a ZenScreen touch with only one cable. Overall I'm pleased I was able to pick this up at 1400 dollars. Looks good and performs well. I'm adding more ram as soon as it arrives by Amazon. Kind of a let down that the laptop supports dual channel memory but is only using one lane with a single ram module soldered to the board. On the plus side, it has another M.2 slot for more storage.

Faster and slick, very well spec'ed and great price. Armorycrate allows your to control anything on the laptop, like fan speeds, RGB lights. It is light for a 15.6 gaming laptop.

This is my first gaming PC and I have to say it is fantastic. It isn’t the most powerful gaming laptop you can buy but as a way to test the waters of PC gaming it is a great way to see the potential. You do need to get another 16gb of ram to get high frame rates at high and ultra settings.

I have three needs from my computer: 4K video editing, portable, and cheap. The ASUS ROG performs excellently in every area. I can edit 4K videos on the go, and I didn't break the bank to be able to do it. My only complaint is that I am used to 2 in 1 laptops and the Rog just doesn't provide the same end user experience. That said, it's not designed to have that feature, and I just use my Wacom tablet for drawing now.

Bought this for my son so he could do coding and gaming. The graphics and screen refresh rate are fantastic. Fans can get loud, but that is to be expected when cooling that much hardware.

this laptop ran fast and beautiful! but the mouse/trackpad would randomly freeze for a couple seconds. bitter defeats. also, it got up to 97 celsius, made my lap and fingers very burny. i would have tried another of the same breed, but there were no more. thank you best buy for giving me the time to realize the issues and return it

One of the best laptops I have ever owned. My last one was an Alienware. I will definitely continue to buy ASUS products based off using this laptop. I mainly use it for school and has absolutely no problem running multiple windows and programs in tandem with speed. Has no problem with heavy architecture programs like Revit. It has also ran every game that I have put on it without a problem. Currently have GTAV, assassins' creed origin, Mount and Blade II, Among US and others. I wouldn't consider it "God Tier" because of the monitor but it is absolute worth what I paid for it.

Needed a laptop for PC gaming continuity as I work away from and it isn’t practical to haul my desktop around with me. I don’t run anything hardcore. I mainly play GTA Online, SWTOR, STO, MWO, abs some old Command & Conquer games on Origin. Seems like a sturdy unit. Fans are loud at times, but I use a Dolby Atmos headset so it doesn’t bother me really. Battery life is decent. Overall I’m happy with the laptop.

It's a great computer runs everything. My only gripe is it only has 2 tiny little fans cooling the whole thing. Suffice go say it gets really really hot really really quickly. I'd highly recommend getting an external cooling pad for it. I use a cooling pad from kooltech thats powered by a USB port.

This laptop is awesome and has great picture quality. However, it has its flaws. Its very loud under any type of load whether its gaming or video editing. It runs very hot under load, enough to burn your lap if you dont have a aftermarket laptop riser. With all that said, this laptop fried after 14 months of light use. I rarely gamed on it. Maybe at most 2hrs in a sitting. Mainly used for video editing and that wasnt a daily task either. One day i booted up amd the laptop turned off amd wouldnt turn back on. Fried.

But great performance. I needed to replace my MacBook and researched the crap out of laptops and this one came up with great specs and the keyboard lights up like a rainbow. What more can you ask for? Only problem I have is that it doesn't have any decals or designs on the laptop itself like some alien ware or other gaming laptops. It looks like a breaker laptop you'd take to hack something and throw away. Either way, no big deal. It's a great machine.

Overall solid gaming laptop. I've been running Minecraft mods like FTB Revelation on full graphics and it keeps up fine, it can get hot at times. My biggest complaint is the sound is bad, I thought the speakers were damaged in shipping. I think they tried to give it bass? The whole laptop rattles, especially where you put your hands because that's where the speakers are, it doesn't get very loud, and the sound quality is poor. The USB ports are very tight, it's a little difficult to get dongles in and out. The material/finish is kind of a trap for your finger grease. It has a lot of neat features too, I love the RGB keyboard, it also has notches on the f and j keys to help you find them without looking, and another notch of a different shape on the w key. If you plug the charger in the wrong spot it notifies you on the screen. I love that it has dedicated volume buttons so you don't have to press fn, my old laptop required two hands to use the volume buttons. Profile is very thin, and the logo on the outside lights up red when it's in use. There are two aux ports, one is just for microphone, the other is for a headset with a mic or just headphones. It does not require a splitter to use a headset.

It's beautiful, it's super fast, and it has *just* enough gaming-style that you can use it in the boardroom without people looking at you weird. For those of us that travel for a living this makes it easy to play some games in a hotel, if I want to. One note - the fans will pretty-much always be spun up, even in the silent setting, unless you use the Intel tweaker to lower the voltage of the CPU. It takes 5 minutes and doesn't lose much power (like 1% of the CPU power), but adds battery life and makes the thing utterly silent when not gaming.
