This has been a great router for me. I haven't tried it all the features yet but setup was simple and i haven't had any problems.

I have a large home. I have tried the high end of all of the major router brands. By far the range and speed of the Asus is superior. On top of the speed and range, the configuration options and options is incredible to optimize performance for multiple device types.

If you do less then 5 stars is because you did a bad connection or you don’t set it up correctly Or you have a cheap smart phone that the app don’t work on it This is awesome and the 3 bands works great one for the kids other band for mi wife and the pro band for me perfect set up Buy this ASUS rog rapture Just don’t used a cheap smartphone to install the app for the set up iPhone or Samsung minimum and this product will set up and work amaizing Any questions let me know

Much better than our last router. So far so good. Been in for about 1 month.

very good router with one 2.4 ghz band and two 5 ghz. For the price it should have an AD chip for 60ghz.

Is it only me, or is the Firmware BUGGY, I mean this router is awesome an all, BUT, for some odd reason this router will reset itself, I mean, I've noticed a decrease in Ping times ETC, But like if I'm gaming, this router out of the Blue will just reboot itself. I checked the Firmware update page in which the router did do it's update to the latest, the longest I've gotten it not to reboot would be like 10 maybe 20 mins then BAM! it will reboot itself, Very Annoying, can find anything on this issue, I don't know if their are others that are experiencing the same issue or not, but this router will just plain reboot by itself with no apparent reason, Another note to mention, i'll notice the memory section is like 97% used which is odd, like it's got a memory leak or something. I may end up taking this one back and exchanging it for another one because this rebooting syndrome is annoying, especially if theirs hardly anything connected to it whether it be wireless or wired.

This was easy to set up. Works perfectly. Fast and does not lose connectivity. Range is very good. Even if you don't need 3 bands, you should buy this router. We all know that the future is here and soon there will be a need for a third band as a standard. So why buy a dual band router now and find out you need to upgrade a year from now? Sure it's expensive, but wasting money on a lesser router now only to buy this one a year later will only cost you more. I have made a living off buying the newest tech when it comes out and it surely lasts longer without a need to constantly upgrade.

I just recently got gigabit Internet installing my home, and this router makes it so that I have Internet all throughout my home. My Internet is fast and stays fast whether it's connected via landline or wifi.

I bought this router when it went on sale even though I was worried about reading the other reviews about stability and all of the issues they were having. As soon as I received it, i upgraded the firmware to the 4/28 version that was available and let me say I LOVE IT! It's been up for over a week now and hasn't dropped the connection once! I would definitely recommend this router to anyone looking for high performance!

This is the best router I have ever had and has tons of features.i have read bad reviews on this because something in the software messed up for some people.but I never had that issue.if you buy this you should know a lot about computers and networking,as this is not a beginner product this is for the intermediate or advanced users,but it has served me well.

So I just purchased this unit and it took me about 30 min to set it all up from my previous Asus Router RT-AC1900P to this one. I had 2 of these units in order to get wifi coverage throughout my 4,200sq ft lot. house is 1555 only but I could not get good coverage in the back room or back yard, Now with this unit no issues.

I was honestly a little worried when I replaced my Asus RT-AC3100 with this router due to the mixed reviews, but I couldn't be happier. Not sure where the bad reviews came from because I've had flawless results from this beast.

I had high hopes for this because i have owned over 30 asus routers and other networking devices by them, but this is the biggest flop since the 87u, IM not sure if its a hardware compatibility issue or the worst firmware possible but ASUS support has devolved to worse than useless and i have been factory resetting this multiple times a day to get the wifi transmitters to turn back on. Also for some reason the AP for the different bands seems to be isolated no matter what you make the settings and you cant see anything on the next band. The game ips is garbage and blocks your internal LAN communications and the ram is maxed out with no load, the processor was the main reason i went with this to be able to handle my multiple repeaters and bridges, the only good thing is the reboot time is 1/4 of the rt-ac5300 but my rt-ac5300 is back installed because it is much more reliable and I don't have to reset it to factory defaults every time i try to access the GUI

All I can say is wow! Right out of the box this router is a rocket ship. I was a bit skeptical because of some of the one star reviews but I'm glad I made the jump. After connecting to my modem and booting up, I'm getting 725mbps down 43 up steadily for the past 3 days. I could not be happier! This really made up for the disappointment I had with the netgear X10.

I recently upgraded from Netgear X4S and it was an upgrade on performance. I see a lot of negative reviews but my installation was easy. I haven't had any performance issue.

works great and my son is as happy as a clam now that he has a dedicated port for his online play.

This is my 2nd Asus router. The first one was the dark knight which was good. But with more devices and two Xbox one's, ps4, three phones, two tablets, 4 smart tv's I needed a better router. This one's worth the money! The tri band is great! If you can find a better router let me know cause I can't.

Bought this as upgrade from previous Asus router. Has worked very well with last 2 bios updates. Like feature set and performance. Very happy with 25+ devices connected multi wireless channels and game boost features are appreciated.

Router capability with latest firmware is very good. QoS works well unlike earlier firmware versions. Interface mgt for mac binding or internet access control is functional, but you can only change setting for online devices. Should really have option to set all online and previously connected devices, hence 4 stars.
