Great laplot, have had it for 7 months now and 0 issues. Games play great and the refresh rate is really nice. Battery life is poor but that is how every laptop is when playing games so i cant complain.

Most of my workload is on Photoshop or Illustrator. I also work with AI and was looking for at least an RTX 4080. My desktop setup is an i9 11900k with the 3090 vision. The mobo is also a vision motherboard. All the pieces are from Giga. The laptop outperforms my current desktop. So now I am also looking to upgrade the PC, I also game in my free time. Mostly COD and Starfield or the DRL. I am getting more frames on the laptop compared to the desktop. My monitor for the desktop is an Alienware 27" 240hz ips panel. I know 50 series is around the corner, but I found this at under $1800 in excellent condition so I jumped. If you are waiting to go to the 40 or 50 series, its probably worth it. I think that ddr5 is just much faster than ddr4 for workloads. Gaming probably around 20% better than ddr4. Workloads is up 40% for me. Battery life is decent when doing work (4-5 hours). Everyone knows its plugged in for gaming. I would say that this was very worth the price. I also like that this is an 18", coming from 16, I didnt think it would make a big difference, but it does.

This laptop can handle any game at max settings! Movies and steaming is also fantastic! Asus did a pretty good job on this. Definitely worth every penny!

I absolutely love this laptop! I was playing call of duty modern warfare 3 at max settings, at an average of 210fps, 1440p. Under these conditions, you can expect a battery life of 4 hours. I used the laptop as a movie server, and was able to get 7 hours 32 minute of battery life. For minimal web browsing, and performing basic tasks, I was close to 9 hours of battery life.

I love the reliability of my new ROG STRIX, I have had mine for a couple of months now. Loads and plays games on ULTRA with ease. I actually like it so much we are buying my wife the same model. Battery life could be better but I use it plugged in 80% of the time. Display is nice and large but could be a bit better although I am happy.

Very solid machine that will run just about any game you throw at it on max settings, although battery life is to be expected for a gaming laptop I haven't had issues as it's meant to be used while plugged in. Final thoughts: If you want a high end laptop this is a great pick if you don't want to shell out extra cash for their scar series.

Amazing laptop! The screen is extremely high quality picture and it runs everything with ease and has been highly compatible with a wide array of old and new games. No hiccups so far. I’m very happy with the purchase and would recommend it in a heartbeat.

[Employee of bestbuy] The perfect gaming laptop, great cooling power, great software to control power modes and fan speeds and lighting, great display, and great product.

Really good laptop for travel besides the size, screen resolution to battery ratio is balanced, 2TB is more than enough to hold a good amount of games and while plugged in to charge has a fluid gaming experience.

Very good all around laptop. Comes with great software for setting custom fan curves, and performs great. Much better laptop than the apex predator Helios laptop which ran hotter and louder because its software was crap.

The ROG Strix is like strapping a rocket to your gaming rig—fast, flashy, and mean as a snake in a pickle jar. Handles games like a champ and looks cool doin’ it. Ain’t nothin’ gonna slow this beast down.

Amazing gaming machine. A little on the heavy side for travel.

I haven't had a chance to try gaming on it yet, but the visuals and screen brightness are absolutely fantastic! The sound from the onboard speakers is significantly better, providing a surround sound experience that really outshines the Acer, which tends to sound a bit tinny with minimal bass. The brightness is impressive as well—much brighter than my Acer. My son and I both own an Acer Helios Predator 18 with an i9 14th gen and (me 4080) (he 4090) graphics card as well. His laptop’s fans kick in during 3D scanning and processing, but they aren’t too loud. In contrast, my ASUS stays relatively quiet. Overall, it's a powerful and excellent laptop for the price. I highly recommend it!"

The most badass laptop yet. The screen is the perfect size for gaming. Runs programs smooth and very versatile laptop. Battery last a while. Games run slow on battery obly( typical). My only complaint is that I wish it had more USB ports and had a display port.
So far daily used and has been a great laptop, it does have high end components but it is a lower end chassis which was a easy trade off compared to the extra $1000 price tag for the better case and screen of the zephyrus. Yes its large and heavy. Warzone ultra settings over 120fps

Truly exceptional performance for a laptop, genuinely couldn't be happier with it. Can do everything from 3D modeling to running every game at Ultra Settings, and any software related task is a breeze. If you are switching from an Xbox console its nice because you can actually use Gamebar (think the Xbox home interface on your PC), underpowered PCs I have had struggled with Gamebar on Windows 10 but it's nice to actually use it and it works on this machine. Would recommend and I probably won't need a new PC for a while given how well this is running. Exceeded my expectations.
