Gonna talk about a major drawback for me. It has very bad IPS glow/backlight leak at the corners. Basically if you plan to use your monitor in a dark room and if you are looking at a dark image/room on your monitor, the corners are washed out from the brightness. You literally cannot see any details on the corners (or about 25% of you screen). So let's say you turn off all your lights in your room and then you boot up a game like Phasmaphobia and you go into a part of the map where its super dark, the glow obscures all of your corners. I posted an image, but keep in mind taking the image at night makes the glow be worse than it is, but its still pretty bad. The glow is not as bright, but it covers the same amount. The only way to mitigate this a little is to turn down brightness and position yourself or your monitor so you are looking right at it without any angle. But you SHOULDN't need to do this. I compared it to my older IPS monitor and the glow is very prominent on this monitor when set to similar brightness. I owned it for 3 weeks so far, might return or exchange it at the 5 week mark since I have Best Buy Plus. But.. Best Buy doesn't exactly have a great selection of 4k or even 1080p IPS monitors so I might just return it. Not sure I want to do an exchange and the same model monitor exhibits the same issue or additional different issues. One last negative is the black colors, as some has said, is very weak. It is not true black. But dark dark gray. If those 2 negatives don't bother you, then its a good buy since the rest of the features are great for its price. Quickly on the positives.. Bought it for like $320 so its a good deal, now its like $400, probably not so great. Refresh rates is as advertised. Colors are fine, especially out of the box. Easy to install. The stand has lots of adjustments (although, not sure how to take it apart if i do return it since the stand and monitor was snapped into a socket). All the pixels are fine, no noise or coil whine. I havn't noticed much ghosting at 60fps or 120fps. Bought it mostly for productivity purpose (3d modeling) and some gaming.

I needed a high-quality 4k monitor for my Series X and future gaming PC. I currently prefer an IPS monitor over OLED due to longevity. Satisfied with my purchase and have no complaints.

Bought this as a second monitor to run alongside my ASUS ROG Strix OLED. It’s great for productivity use, and has good color. Have not really used any of the gaming features as I do all that on the OLED. I run it vertically which is solid for work and productivity usage. Would definitely purchase again.

As both an IT professional and avid PC gamer, I was very excited to experience the new ASUS - ROG Strix 27" Dual Mode (4K 160Hz, FHD 324Hz) XG27UCSR monitor! The promise here is a monitor that can serve as both a high image quality 4k 160Hz display, or a super fast 324Hz low res 1080p display for esports or competitive gaming. Simply put, ASUS delivers on both of these very well. Overall, the construction of this monitor falls in like with other ASUS ROG displays. It has standard bezel thickness, plastic body with typical ROG gaming style. The display itself is IPS and rocks typical matte finish. Very sturdy metal base with extremely low rocking. Adjustable height. x1 DisplayPort 1.4, x1 HDMI 2.1, x1 USB-C that supports Alt DP mode and 15w of power delivery and headphone jack. It covers all of the basics, it well made and meets expectations for anyone familiar with this product line. This is built and marketed toward gamers, not professional business environments or those looking for sleek or overly modern hardware. The display itself is successful on multiple fronts. The color accuracy out of the box is stellar. It defaults to "racing mode" which essentially boils down to the most accurate preset out of the box and the one most people should stick with. It's set to the proper white point of 6500k and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut with ASUS advanced gray-scale tracking technology ensuring smoother color gradation delivery and uniformity. There is no tweaking needed here. The display is sharp and vivid in it's 4k 160Hz mode. My PC easily picked up the G-Sync, VRR, HDR, and 160Hz capabilities. Gaming in this mode was excellent. In addition to it's 160Hz mode, which is already impressive, the XG27UCSR rocks the best ELBM (Extremely Low Motion Blur) I've ever seen to date on a monitor. There is literally, no motion blur, stutter, or any undesired motion issues of any kind. This is not the case for all high framerate monitors, especially using IPS panels. Most people who has PCs that can support 4k at 160Hz will be happy with this setup and won't ever look to change it. There is however, a secret gaming weapon this monitor holds that makes it even more unique, well beyond the best in class ELMB, which by itself, it enough to justify the purchase of this monitor. For those extreme gamers looking for maximum FPS over image quality, you can toggle an "FPS Mode" which sends a native 1080P signal to your graphic card, instantly changing the resolution from native 4k to 1080p. Doing this results in a super fast 324Hz/FPS capability! In this mode and playing games that you can run at the full FPS, coupled with the amazing ELMB precision is at an all time high. Games like Counter-Strike 2 now present a competitive advantage by allowing pint point smooth accuracy. I want to be clear with folks tho. This is still a 4k 1920 x 2160 display, even in 1080p mode. That means you are not getting a true, 1080p native display. While ASUS has done an excellent job incorporating technology to upscale this image to nearly native 1080p sharpness, it still offers a slight blurriness compared to it's 4k mode. You may also notice the different due to the fact you're switching from super sharp 4k down to 1/4th the resolution, and that in itself is very noticeable as well. Turning on either FPS mode or any of the other various gaming features, such as FPS counter, static crosshairs, sniper (which zooms the display) or stopwatch and timer, those are all triggered by the OSD menu (on screen display) by clicking the rear navigation button at the top of the button menu, which are on the right side of the display. Toggling FPS mode has it's own dedicated button making switching between 4k and 1080p extremely easy. Some systems may react differently to sudden display change so ensure your OS is configured correctly for each mode initially before relying on switching, as Hz may not be set correctly instantly. ASUS also has a method to control settings via a desktop app called "ASUS Display Widget Center. This offers the same controls in the OSD but much easier to navigate. I found most of my tweaking was nicer to perform using this companion app vs the OSD menu. The only real flaw this monitor has is the typical limitations of IPS panels. Blacks are not pure black and more of an 80% grey or even bluish at times. It does have some clouding, but halo effect is minimal to non existent. For most use cases, esp gaming, this doesn't matter so much and I found all the other benefits outweighed this one limitation, which I also had full expectation of. Overall, this is a very unique monitor offering abilities not many other offerings provide. ASUS has really considered the hardcore gamer's needs with the XG27UCSR and I truly believe this is "one to beat" for everyone else. I highly recommend this to any gamer and especially to any gamer who also doubles their monitor as a workstation display. It's the best of both worlds approach and should be on everyone's consideration list.

This 4K monitor from Asus is solidly built and very easy to assemble. It features a 27-inch display with a 160Hz refresh rate, capable of boosting up to 324Hz. On the back, you’ll find one DisplayPort, one HDMI, and one USB-C port. It also supports VRR, G-Sync, Freesync, and ELMB-Sync. The panel is flat, slim, and lightweight, and the rear design has a nice touch that reminds me of my older TUF gaming monitor. Setup is essentially plug-and-play. You can navigate the monitor settings using the buttons on the back right side, or through the Asus Display Widget Center. I especially liked how simple it was to attach the stand, no tools required. It just locks into place, and removing it is as easy as pressing the latch release button behind the panel. As for image quality, the colors are bright and vibrant. After exploring the different settings, I did notice that some color profiles appeared slightly oversaturated, but that’s easy to adjust with a bit of tweaking. By default, the monitor runs at 60Hz in 4K resolution, you need to adjust the refresh rate to 160 manually at least I had to. To reach 324Hz, you also have to enable the Frame Rate Boost setting, and it only works for 1080p. During gaming, the monitor performed exceptionally well at its highest refresh rates. Gameplay was smooth, with no noticeable ghosting or lag. I paired it with a gaming laptop running an older Nvidia graphics card, and it still handled everything impressively. I was able to play in both 1080p at 319hz and 4k at160hz. The monitor also includes hotkey features. While it’s a nice addition, the one I was most interested in, switching refresh rates. To do that you have to press the middle button behind the monitor. The screen will go black for a second but then switch the resolution between 4K to 1080p 324hz. That was pretty cool. Make sure to enable Frame Rate Boost before launching the game, as turning it on during gameplay may cause the game to crash. Overall, I’m loving this monitor, it looks and performs great. It’s well-built, delivers vivid and bright beautiful colors, and is an ideal size for gaming. It is easy to set up and also includes useful gaming features like a crosshair overlay and others. In the box, you get the monitor, stand, power cable, DisplayPort cable, cable carrying case, and manuals.

Why not both? If you are struggling to pick out a monitor, then having something that can do both 1080p and 4K while STILL giving you a high refresh rate is a great feature. It’s also perfect if you don’t currently have a PC that can handle 4K gaming but are planning to upgrade later. Capable monitors like this are becoming more inexpensive, and at $399.99 MSRP this pretty much slots into the mid-range category. 4K = 160Hz 1080p = 324Hz (weird number but it doesn’t matter) Ports: 1x HDMI 2.1 1x DP 1.4 (included in the box) 1x USB-C (DP mode) 1x Regular power (which you don’t have to use if you are using USB-C DP) Using the 27” ASUS ROG Strix dual-mode monitor felt on point, and I did not find myself missing my much more high-end 2K 480Hz OLED. The 4K resolution was much appreciated for any type of movie content, especially since I tend to sit pretty close to the screen. When switching over to 1080p the panel was obviously less sharp but can be made to look better if you tweak the OSD settings. Out of the box the color calibration is outstanding, though, and it’s usually something I see in more expensive monitors, so I like that ASUS takes the extra step here to ensure it’s good as is. In terms of color space (gamut), it covers 130% of sRGB and 95% of DCI-P3. HDR is supported and looks fantastic as well (going up to 565 nits, according to Windows 11) There is also an anti-glare surface and it does the job. Fast-IPS may not be the most exciting display tech but for me it’s more than good enough especially with this panel. Most FPS players will prioritize performance over resolution, and going into CS2 I dropped the res down to 1080p while increasing the refresh rate to 324Hz. Even though I’m used to even higher refresh rates, I was totally happy being in the 300 range. While I don’t have a scientific rig to test exact response times, the 0.3 ms advertised time felt great, though I probably wouldn’t be able to tell a difference between 0.3 and 1 ms for example. Colors again did not need much tweaking in-game, and I had no problem with the game bugging out—it always stayed at the resolution I wanted and stayed smooth. I only have a few small critiques when it comes to this monitor having to do with the 5 buttons on the rear. It’s confusing having them laid out the way they are—the very top is the OSD joystick, and the very bottom is the power. That’s fine, but on top of all that, there are 3 more buttons all mashed together, and the switch that you will be using a lot to change the resolution <1080p–4K> is right smack in the middle. In future models it would be nice to simply have the dual-mode switch be placed somewhere else and have a different texture. The overall design of the monitor is nice with minimal bezels, though, and there is a ROG logo, which you may or may not like. Lastly, I did not use the original stand that much, as I just VESA mounted, but it’s certainly good enough and doesn’t take that much of a footprint. You get all your tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments. Pros: - Calibrated out the box - Easy to setup - Good brightness levels especially in HDR - Fast response times when using 1080p - Value Cons: - Button layout

The Asus ROG monitor is crisp clear and amazing for gaming. I had a 49” monitor for quite some time and it is pretty awesome for the right game, but it has some definite disadvantages if your monitor has a double work use case and you share your screen quite a bit. On the gaming side, some games, an extra wide monitor doesn’t help or hinder, but other games an extra wide monitor can almost hinder your experience. There are a few that look really awesome, but for me the benefits of dual monitors outweighed the benefits of a single extra wide monitor. So, I’ve switched back to two 27” monitors. For that I am rocking 2 27” ROG monitors, one is the newest 4k monitor which I am reviewing here and the other is the slightly older 2k monitor. For my gaming setup I do all my gaming on my 4k monitor as everything just looks and works that much better, for work I scaled down my 4k monitor to 2k to match the other one as I shift between monitors constantly and 2k is plenty for work. I was really interested in utilizing the display port alt mode just to see if it was good, it is, of course this is really dependent on if you have a device capable of it dp alt mode, which the Zenflow13 supports. So I was able to run USB C cables to the Zenflow13 and have just as good of a gaming experience versus utilizing HDMI or Display port, as my Zenflow13 only supports on HDMI connection this was extremely useful. Now one thing to note which I was initially excited about is the power delivery leaves something to be desired. It delivers 15W so if you are thinking about plugging a phone it and utilizing Dex or maybe just gaming on a bigger display than the iPad mini provides this is more than enough power, but for my Zenflow this wasn’t close to enough power, even with both plugged in, granted the power supply for it is 200W so this does make sense. I have a little laptop that only needs 30W, both plugged into that actually do provide enough power. My work laptop wants 60W and doesn’t have a power input besides USB C so I can’t utilize just the two USB C for all my solutions sadly. I think the design was to be able to utilize. I wish the USB C with DP alt mode supplied 60W of power, this would enable you to utilize many normal laptops as well as phones. The 4k makes everything look just that much more crisp over 2k which I am enjoying and of course the refresh rate just makes every game just flow. I installed the display widget center and I can switch between modes such as FPS, racing and so on with ease as my setup doesn’t make it the easiest to get to the buttons with as little room as I have to spare in my desk space. Though I love how big the buttons are on the back and when I do need to get to them they are extremely easy to figure out without having to see them. Horizon5, cyberpunk, and of course Fortnite all look amazing. I think the Aux port on the monitor finally made some sense to me when I plugged the iPad in as this enabled me to plug a set of headphones in to the monitor but for the most part the Aux ports are just annoying as they change to the default output when I switch computers and I have to remember to fix that. Pros: USB C powered input USB C DP Alt mode (display port over USB C) Amazing Screen Easily adjustable Cons: USB powered input is only 15W Aux output (This might not be a con for some people)

The ASUS ROG product line is known for offering top-tier hardware, and this 3840 x 2160 Fast IPS monitor is no exception. The base is sturdy and offers adjustments for height, tilt, swivel, and pivot. Additionally, it allows for standard VESA wall mounting and includes a ¼” tripod mount and a Kensington lock port. While the monitor does not have built-in speakers, it does feature a 3.5 mm audio jack. Other ports include a USB-C DP Alt Mode rated for 15 W power delivery, DisplayPort 1.4, and HDMI v2.1. There is a DisplayWidget Center that can be downloaded for macOS or Windows built in, where you can generate a color calibration report as well as tweak monitor settings, including the built-in AI features, including OLED care that includes pixel cleaning and reminders to prevent burn-in. These settings are saved directly to the monitor, so you don’t have to reconfigure your setup if the monitor is disconnected. For all the useful tools, they are secondary to the fantastic visuals provided by this monitor for everything from intense gaming to videos or business uses. There is a hotkey functionality on the monitor to take advantage of the dual-mode display option. This allows you to change the resolution and refresh rate from 4K @ 160Hz to FHD @ 324Hz for esports depending on your gaming needs. It’s flicker-free with a variable refresh rate built in with an added feature of extreme low motion blur. I don’t believe there’s a better 27” monitor in this price range available, and considering how well it performs and the built-in features, I’m surprised at the price point!

This monitor fills the gap where it needed to be filled.. So I didnt think I would like or even want one of these dual mode monitors because I figured the low res mode even though high fps would look poor and perform poor because there is no way it could be good. Was wrong, straight up. So my gaming laptop only has a 5070 in it and I for sure cannot game in 4k resolution with it but I CAN game in 1080 with it. Im also using this with my Apple MacBook Pro with M2 Max as well and its fully compatible to the point you can even run HDR and adjust the monitor brightness via software controls instead of on the monitor itself. So on my windows PC I never wanted to “step back” to HD res on a monitor because the desktop use is so poor in my experience. So what's the solution the best I could drive with it is QHD. But after being spoiled by Apple displays both 5K and 6K resolution I can't bring myself to want to use a 1440p monitor anymore. Enter this Asus 27 inch dual mode display I can run my desktop usage and productivity work including video editing in 4K fully at 160hz with a color accurate screen and when I want to game I can literally just press one button on the back of the monitor for FPS boost and boom it bins down to 4x pixels runs it as 1920x1080 at 320hz! This way both my Mac and my gaming PC can fully support everything that I want to do it's like having your cake and eating it too it's actually unbelievable that this technology exists. The brightness is very good on the monitor and I've noticed that when I run in HDR that it actually gets brighter than my MacBook Pro display at 500 nits at least to the eye. The contrast is very good for an IPS panel and the corner glow “issues” from the previous non R non dual mode version of this monitor im proud to say are all but gone! No real ghosting to speak of or any abnormal motion to this panel at all. Dark scenes are properly IPS dark without major edge glow issues which is super nice to see. The USB-c mode is great when connecting my iPad and ROG ally as it will charge at 15w through the cable itself and save a charging port. This also works with both my laptops but at only 15w you cannot game without plugging in with your normal charger. Overall I dont think there is any better way to describe this style of monitor except perfect. 4k during the day FHD by night for gaming with both extremely capable this is the winner right here!!

The Asus ROG Strix 27” gaming monitor is a beautiful monitor that offers plenty of features. The build quality of the monitor is what you would come to expect from Asus ROG, it’s fantastic. The monitor has a unique shape and design that gives it a futuristic/premium look. The bottom of the stand is made of solid metal, with the base made of solid plastic which has holes for cable management. The screen can rotate to a full 360 degrees, it can tilt and turn, it can also be raised and lowered. The only cable included is a display port cable, and oddly enough it comes inside a carrying pouch. The Strix can display a full 4K resolution at 160hz, or full 1080p at 324hz. With the dual display feature, you can toggle between the 2 modes with the press of the button on the back of the monitor. You can download the free Display Widget Center which is a very useful widget that allows you to tweak the monitors setting on the fly. It also offers plenty of extra preset modes. Not only does the monitor have HDMI and DisplayPort 1.4, but it also has Type-C power delivery, meaning you can connect a ROG ally. When it comes to the picture quality, this monitor is one of the sharpest screens I’ve seen. The colors are incredibly vibrant and have a very wide range, making crystal clear images. When set to 4K 160hz the screen comes to life, scrolling and movement are so smooth and fast. I loaded up a few games to test out, the first one I tried was Returnal. I put the setting to 4k 160hz, and for the few minutes it ran before it crashed, it looked amazing. I ran Cyber Punk next, and that looked amazing at 4K. The colors really popped in that game, giving so much detail and depth. The monitor offers an incredibly fast response time making FPS games perform great. Overall, I am extremely impressed with the Strix 27” monitor. Asus did an amazing job with the color details. The monitor looks super crisp, the design and quality are top notch, and it performs great. This is one of the best monitors I’ve used to date, and I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new gaming monitor.

Unboxing and Setup - Thank you Asus for the wonderful packing job. The monitor is fully encased in foam and bagged. The accessiories are fitted in seperate molded in contours and the cables came in a nice mesh storage bag. I pulled the base and stand and assembled them in about 45 seconds - it's one screw. I placed the monitor on the stand it it click locked directly on. This is definitely my favorite style of pedestal stand - heavy and spring loaded so adjustments are effortless. The monitor can be used in portrait or landscape modes with the included stand. Just lift it up and rotate to use it vertically. Image quality, refresh and color - Great image quality - Incredibly sharp at 4k, Good color with even backlighting. It does appear a bit bright near the top and bottom edge when displaying black at startup however no bright spots or areas were noted on solid static black and colored backgrounds once loaded. Using 1080p mode in windows shows it is not a perfect or "native" mode for the panel as there is a slight blur to text on black or white however this was as expected. 1080p mode for gaming - I'm running a laptop with An Nvidia A2000 card in it for daily use. It's roughly equivelent to a 3050/3060 with gaming mode drivers installed. Overall it's great for productivity but struggles with newer and current games at higher / 4K resolutions. The "native" 1080p solves that issue and allows me to play everything at more than comfortable frame rates. I'm able to direct connect the minidisplayport on the laptop to achieve a 320hz refresh while gaming and it is incredibly smooth. It's awesomely crisp and smooth at 4K 120hz on my laptop and when I tested it out on my primary gaming PC. What I love - Ultra sturdy heavy pedestal stand - allows rotation. Great OSD and menu's - Buttons are not Klunky to use. Works at high refresh for 1080p and looks great at it ! Room for improvement - please consider labelling or color coding the connectors, the molded in indications are hard to see.

I will address the mode switching feature first because I have never had a gaming monitor with this feature before and I it is a convenience I did not know I needed in my life. There is a hot key on the back right of the monitor with the rest of the controls that allows you to instantly switch the monitor resolution and refresh rate between 4K 160hz and 1080p 324hz, or any lower refresh rate if you want, though I do not know why you would. This makes it great to switch easily between applications and different games. I can explore Baldur's Gate 3 in 4K beauty and a smooth refresh rate experience, or I can focus in on some Halo or Call of Duty matchmaking and get a lightning fast, ultra crisp picture to help propel me to victory. In fast paced shooter games, every millisecond counts and this monitor delivers that feeling of instant response. 324hz is blisteringly smooth. Color needs some tuning out of the box and I could never get the dark blacks to be as dark as I would like them. The Smart Pixel feature sharpens things to an even crisper experience. The monitor comes with a nice DP 1.4 cable and the stand has built in cable management. There is also an optional USB-C input that doubles as a fast charger output which is super convenient for charging my devices whilst gaming.

If you are trying to decide between high resolution or high frame rates, this monitor solves the problem completely. The FHD mode at 324Hz is unbelievably smooth, giving me a massive edge in fast-paced competitive games. When I want to kick back and play something more cinematic, the 4K mode looks incredibly sharp and crispy. Adaptive sync works flawlessly with my graphics card to eliminate screen tearing. The build quality is classic ROG—heavy-duty, sturdy, and highly adjustable

Really great monitor-awesome color and response time-super image quality make it shine. Settings are super easy, both with the software and with the monitor buttons. Couldn't recommend it more highly. A+++

The monitor looks very good and it decently cheap for how good it is. Works well on all consoles or pc’s. A good purchases for the price, especially if you get the warranty to guarantee the monitor for two years.

Verdict. The Asus ROG Strix 27" Dual Mode (4K 160Hz, FHD 324Hz) monitor is a remarkable monitor for its versatility of resolution, response time, and compatibility (FreeSync and G-Sync), as well as capable performance. I was also surprise about its price for what it offers; there is a lot of value here! And the stand is fantastic, supporting tilt, swivel, pivot (for portrait mode), up/down adjustment, and a threaded mount for a camera or light. First impression. It is fairly average looking, mostly plastic, and not very thin. It comes with a pouch and high-quality cables. It also includes a cleaning cloth. The stand is great, allowing for different uses and adjustments. The base is pretty small actually, which I love because it gives me more space for things on my desk. Performance. I tested this monitor with a high-end Lenovo Legion gaming laptop with an RTX 5080 card and a 2560x1600 OLED screen. 4k on 27 inch makes resolution as impressive as it is on the OLED display, and actually more enjoyable because it’s bigger, more immersive, and less demanding for long-term concentration. Lately, I am doing a lot more video editing on the computer, and this gives me the workspace and resolution to do it well. For gaming, Elden Ring looks spectacular at 4k and 160hz refresh on max settings… Amazing! I could probably run Delta Force at 4k, but I prefer running this at 1080p (and taking advantage of the higher refresh rate of this monitor), on high settings and DLSS off for a high performing, clear and smooth setup. Also, it’s worth mentioning that the AI features on the monitor for the crosshair and shadow boost are pretty cool and add to the gaming experience. What I love. - Fantastic stand that tilts, swivels, pivots (for portrait mode), and can adjust up/down (and the stand has a mount to attach a camera or light!) - 4k resolution! - I think ELMB works, really impressed with smoothness of the graphics - Dual mode is very cool, I don’t think I’ve seen that before - 160Hz refresh at 4k and 324Hz at Full HD, which are great specs - Response time of 1ms at 4k, and 0.3ms at Full HD - 1x DP, 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x USB-C - High-quality cables included, with a pouch! - Vibrant colors - AI Gaming live adjustments… wow! - FreeSync and G-Sync compatible - 3-year Parts and Labor Warranty!! - Display Widget Center (actually really helpful, rather than blindly trying to mess with the rear buttons); I recommend trying it What I don’t love. - There are no integrated speakers. Not a huge deal for gaming because I use gaming headphones, but it takes away a bit of convenience for viewing something on the fly or when trying to show media to someone in the same room - I need an easier way to switch between modes, especially since it is the premium feature of this monitor Overall, this Asus 27” Dual Mode monitor is a unique offering that offers both 4k resolution and an option for high-response at 1080P, at a great price point. Finally something different! At both 4k and 1080p, I am impressed with the performance, graphics, and colors. Exceptional value for what you get; I highly recommend it.

I’ve been using the ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCG for a bit now, and honestly, it’s solved the biggest headache I had with my setup. Usually, you have to choose between a beautiful 4K screen for RPGs or a super-fast 1080p screen for competitive shooters. This monitor does both. The "Dual Mode" is the real winner here. Most monitors look blurry when you drop the resolution, but this one stays remarkably sharp. If you use the "Vivid Pixel" setting and crank it to 100, the image looks incredibly "crispy." Daily Use & Build The Stand: ROG finally moved away from those massive tripod legs. This base is nice and compact, so it doesn't eat up all my desk space. Text & Clarity: Since it’s 4K on a 27-inch panel, the pixel density is high. Text is super clear, which makes it great for work during the day, too. USB-C: Having a USB-C port with power delivery is a lifesaver if you use a laptop. One cable and you're good to go. The Reality Check (Cons) It’s not perfect. The ports are tucked directly under the screen, which makes plugging things in a total pain if you don't want to flip the whole monitor over. Also, it’s an IPS panel, so while the colors are vibrant and the viewing angles are great, you aren't getting those "perfect blacks" you’d see on an OLED. The GamePlus feature adds additional tools, including on screen overlays like customizable crosshairs for FPS games, timers, and real time FPS counters. These overlays can be freely positioned anywhere on the screen. The setup process is straightforward: the base attaches securely to the monitor arm, which then connects to the back of the display. The compact base design minimizes desk space usage, making it especially suitable for smaller setups. The display performs exceptionally well with major titles such as Fortnite, CS:GO, Borderlands 4, and Call of Duty. Fast motion and high action scenes show no noticeable lag or screen tearing.
