Great monitor, so so features

Amazing in almost every way, the screen part of the monitor is amazing 4K OLED on a 27inch monitor is phenomenal and having up to 240 fps as well is crazy. The colors are amazing, the blacks are black (gets hard to see in dark places in games XD). HDR on monitors, according to professional reviewers, isn't all that great, and I can confirm this as when I turned it on I didn't like how it looked and even in games that support HDR (cyberpunk 2077) it looked like all it did was up the brightness which made the colors not pop and have the deep rich colors like it does without HDR. I'm supposed to be using the pixel cleaning function every 8 hours or less to improve the longevity of the OLED screen but using that function renders the screen unusable for a few minutes so I only do it when I first turn my computer on, and the computer has to be in to do this (unfortunately I can't only have the monitor on and use the pixel cleaning feature). Now onto easily the worst "feature" (more like gimmick), the neo proximity sensor is awful, I'll be in the middle of intense gameplay and the monitor will just turn off and I have to wave at it to wake it up. I set the neo proximity sensor to the max distance and the max timer and it still randomly turns it off while I'm using it, so I just manually turn the monitor off whenever I get up to do something that will be longer than a few minutes. The ROG logo projector on the bottom is neat though unfortunately the only color option is ROG red which is a bummer given the fact all the other settings the monitor has are great and allow for a lot of customization to the end users liking. Overall this is a great monitor, it does what I bought it for exceptionally well and the only drawbacks are extras asus packed into the monitor that I can simply disable. 9/10

Absolute Beast of a Gaming Monitor

recently upgraded to the ASUS ROG Swift 27” 4K OLED 240Hz, and wow… this thing is on another level. I’ve owned plenty of gaming monitors over the years, but nothing comes close to the combination of speed, picture quality, and overall smoothness this display delivers.
Picture quality:
The OLED panel is insanely sharp with perfect blacks and ridiculous contrast. Games look like they come to life, shadows are deep, colors are vibrant, and HDR actually looks like HDR is supposed to look. Watching movies on it feels like having a mini-OLED TV on your desk.
Performance:
240Hz at 4K with a 0.03ms response time is just wild. Everything feels instant. Motion clarity is buttery smooth whether I’m playing FPS, racing games, or just scrolling around on desktop. FreeSync Premium Pro also works flawlessly with my setup.
Build & design:
ASUS really nailed the premium feel. The stand is sturdy, adjustable, and the whole monitor just feels high-quality. Cable management is actually solid too. It has plenty of ports, including HDMI and DisplayPort, so connecting everything was simple.
Final thoughts:
If you want the BEST gaming experience you can get right now in a 27” form factor, this is it. The price is high, but you immediately see where every dollar went. Easily one of the best gaming monitors on the market today.
Highly recommend, 100% worth it.
The craziest thing is how the OLED literally looks invisible because of the deep blacks.
When I put it next to my regular monitor, you can clearly see the frame and backlight glow on the regular one… but the OLED? The blacks are so deep that the whole screen just disappears. It looks like the letters are floating in mid-air on a pitch-black void. You can’t even tell where the panel ends or begins. I’ve never seen a monitor pull off that effect before — it really shows how insane the contrast on this thing is.

I normally don’t do reviews, but this is a must. I was waiting for a long time to have a 27” 4K OLED, and when the opportunity arose, a couple of options arrived. This, Samsung, and a few others. I chose this because of Dolby Vision and Neo Proximity, which is a sensor to see when you walk away after a set time; the screen turns off to prevent burn-in on static images. Overall, though, I was blown away by the screen quality and design, even though it’s mounted; it’s a clean design. The controls are nice and easy to use. I recommend this to anyone who wants the best of the best for gaming but also for work usage.

Easily the best monitor I’ve ever owned.
Colors are crisp in both SDR and HDR. Brightness is more than adequate, incredible viewing angles, insanely high PPI given its 27” size. I wanted a display that could really give me excellent motion clarity while also providing great clarity. Excellent for single player games and with 240hz, excellent for less demanding esport kinda games. Love it.

Almost amazing - unacceptable panel surface

This monitor (PG27UCDM) could have been perfect and was so very close. The combination of rich colors, response time, refresh rate and resolution is unmatched.
However, given this is one of the most expensive gaming displays you can buy, this display's surface quality is completely unacceptable.
My display has a manufacturing defect. Near the top of the display, there is a cluster of numerous fine surface imperfections that it casts a shadow within the display; see picture. These imperfections could not have been caused by merely wiping the display, which causes problems described below. Unfortunately, I did not notice this within the exchange window as I was out of town for a few weeks immediately after the purchase and mostly operated in low-light conditions.
An important warning for potential buyers: DO NOT purchase this monitor if you are precious about scratches.
I have been using computers professionally and for entertainment for four decades and never in my life have I had a panel scratch until now. I used the supplied cleaning cloth and the surface is completely swirled with scratches from a single instance of circular motions. Again, this is a separate issue from what I described above. I do believe both issues, however, are related to the extremely soft surface.
Search for this display and "scratches" and there are threads on Reddit about these panels and scratching.
To be clear, my rating has nothing to do with the price. I happily pay premium prices for quality products. This is a premium product with an absolutely inexcusable panel quality for any monitor at any price.
Furthermore, requiring customers to navigate warranty procedures immediately after purchase fundamentally violates the basic transaction they've entered into. When consumers pay full price for a product, they're purchasing a working item—not the mere possibility of one after repairs or replacements. The warranty process should be a safety net for issues that develop over time, not an immediate hurdle for buyers who've just exchanged their hard-earned money for what was sold as a functional product.

This is my first actual monitor. Ive been useing my LG G4 tv but man let me tell you this is a huge upgrade in everyway and playing at 240hz is definitely a big difference than the 144hz I was use to. I considered getting a 32” but I really wanted a monitor with DP80 full support and im so glad I got the 27” it is perfect size.

I built a new PC earlier this year with a 5080 and have been blown away by this monitor everytime I use it. Buttery smooth OLED visuals, lightning fast response rate, its a sturdy machine. My favourite feature though is easily the OLED Neo Sensor that turns the monitor off whenever I step away, makes burnin a complete non issue!

I don't take the time to write positive reviews for good products and, I didn't here either. This product is exceptional. Let me tell you why.
What I love:
-The pixel density. At 27″ (well, actually 26.5″) and 4K resolution, you’re sitting at ~166 PPI, which means every texture, UI element, and piece of text is razor sharp.
-The colors and contrast are next-level. Deep, inky blacks in dark rooms and bright highlights when you want them. My games popped. HDR scenes had real depth.
-The refresh rate & responsiveness are perfect for what I love to do. Gaming, tweaking settings, paying attention to performance. 240 Hz, 0.03 ms G2G. For someone like me who tweaks performance and has a setup with high-end GPU/monitor ambition, this feels future-proof. If your PC can push high frames, you’ll see them here.
-The connectivity. Full DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20, 80 Gbps) means you’re not bottlenecked and, you're not going to be in the future either.
What to note (because I’m telling you like I see it)
-The price. This is premium. But something I've learned as I got older (I'm in the 39-45 year old bracket), you get what you pay for.
-The burn in risk. This isn't my first OLED and but it's my first new-gen OLED. Asus' warranty covers burn in and if you want extra peace of mind, there is always Geek Squad Protection (I bought that too)
-If you have high end GPU, and you’re looking for the best possible clarity + smoothness combo without going ultrawide, this monitor knocks it out of the park. If you plan on getting a high end GPU, this monitor still knocks it out of the park. If you're just looking to upgrade to the best 4k OLED 27" monitor, this knocks it out of the park.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. This monitor is a home run.

OLED Is the Endgame

Upgrading from a 27" 4K IPS to this QD-OLED the difference is genuinely night and day — games now look hyper-realistic, with stunning color depth, inky blacks, and fast response times. The visual fidelity is so immersive that it feels like a generational leap. The semi-glossy screen does show a faint purple hue when turned off in daylight, but in my moderately bright room, it’s never distracting during use. Gameplay remains immersive, even in daytime conditions. The panel performs automatic pixel cleaning every time it enters standby, so I use a blank screensaver during idle periods and either lock the screen or shut down after extended sessions. One minor hiccup: the ambient light sensor needs to be fixed. It occasionally powers down the monitor mid-game, so I adjusted the timeout to 10 minutes. That’s helped, though it’s still not flawless. Despite that, this is hands-down the best monitor I’ve ever owned. The combination of cinematic OLED visuals and responsive performance makes it a dream for both gaming and multimedia. Once you experience true blacks and vibrant color depth, there’s no going back. OLED is the clear winner.

Well, what can I say? Yes, sure, technology will keep advancing and better monitors will come out, etc... BUT, but if you want a perfect monitor for years to come... THIS IS IT.
27 inches for a monitor size is the sweet spot.
The display is beautiful, the colors are beautiful (Look at some demon slayer clips for reference or even Attack on Titan...Put vibrance to 80% and sheesh) and HDR is actually amazing on this monitor.
I have this paired with a 5070 FE and I've been running 4K perfectly fine. First time 4K for me as well.
To sum it all up though; Life is great, this monitor is great...BUY IT, you won't regret it.

Pros:
-accurate out of the box colors
-response time
-resolution
-OLED contrast goodness
Cons:
-expensive
-HDR can be a bit on the dim side, Dynamic Brightness Boost option on this monitor is available but it’s a bit too bright. So you either have modes that either make HDR Dim/Accurate or HDR Too Bright
Overall: This is by far the best QD OLED monitor you can get at 27” 4K. If you can stomach the price and you have a very dim lit room, you can enjoy everything this monitor has to offer

Pros: bright, colorful, and smooth. One of the besg oleds you can buy at this price. The 4k just makes everything pop and clear. I've owned the 1440p version and there were little text fringing but with the 4k version, nothing. Cons: not much cons as its nearly perfect. Just make sure to update the monitor using the cable. There was ome occasion where the monitor turned off randomly and it took 2minutes to boot it up. Other than that, just take care of your monitor by turning it off when not using it, lower the brightness to 70 and dont do too much scrolling with it. Would also buy the bestbuy geek squad warranty as its cheaper than other competitors.

Had the 32” model PG32UCDM and although it was good, the 27” PG27UCDM outshines it in every way. The newest display port 2.0 has a higher bandwidth that lets you get more frames, color and features than the hdmi 2.1 found on the PG32UCDM. Since the monitor is smaller the PPI, or pixels per inch, makes this seem crisper too. All around the best monitor I have used and only problem I have now is if I want to upgrade my 4090 to a 5090!

This monitor is absolutely amazing! The picture quality is crystal clear, colors are vibrant, and it’s super smooth for gaming. Definitely worth every penny! The PPI makes text super clear and if you have a 5090 with DP 2.1 its super responsive.
