Honestly, there are 2 main issues with this laptop. 1. Sleep mode doesn’t work right. The laptop remains on even if you close it. 2. This laptop is intended to be for gaming but I believe that due to the size of the pc it tends to overheat everytime I run a game(notheavy graphics). On the other hand, ngl it is a fast pc with a powerful gpu and processor, but due to the above issues is that I would opt for a different model. My old ROG laptop runs games better without overheating.

Awesome laptop! Portable and love the color. Runs fast and Asus provides ton of options in its Armory Crate software. The sound is awesome. Great speakers. Gaming is a pleasure. Negatives: Too much bloatware bogs the system. Lots of services running in the background. While I love Armory Crate, it is expensive. I had to turn a lot of it off to get a passing 3DMark Time Spy stress test score. Also. The keyboard lighting looks really bad. As far as the display. I really can’t tell much difference between the FHD and QHD versions… I owned both.

Had a amazing introduction to this laptop, speed and portability was my niche for this section. Style was an amazing plus+. Fit my needs to the T, my only complaints/problem is the laptop will temperature throttle and shut itself off frequently. Basically a forced pause on its use. Which even with my laptop cooler I purchased recently it makes little different to the issue.

I have always struggled with this gaming computer ever since I bought it. Whenever I turn it on, it turns back off and restarts by itself. It would always happen, even when I needed it the most. It’s always getting hot for no reason (24/7) and the fan is always on and loud (even though I am not using it). It was too late for me to get a refund after I noticed all this stuff. Also, the battery sucks, it does not last more than 2 hrs.

Its an okay computer. Great specs and very little bloatware My only and biggest issue has to be the temps for this laptop It is not uncommon to reach 90s plus! To the point where parts of the laptop are very uncomfortable to the touch. For the time I've owned it though im happy with it and its done the job !

Okay so this would have been a 4/5 if the newer G14 was not out, but the newer G14 fixed almost all the issues this one had. You get a better chassey with the white color inside and out, an AMD CPU and GPU with the MUX switch, a webcam (720p.. but still a webcam), 500+ nits of brightness and a much bigger glass trackpad. Even though this still has fantastic performance and a great battery life, make the investment to go to the newer 2022 g14 with a much better overall package!

Switched from mac and got this laptop and its amazing! Battery life is great and I get decent fps on most games on medium-high settings. Works great by itself and while connected to a monitor/mouse/keyboard. Absolutely exceeded expectations.

Amazing that this thing has a 3060 inside. Armoury Crate lets me control fan speeds so I can manage tradeoffs between heat and performance. The screen is bright and beautiful with colors that pop. High refresh rates make CSGO run smooth as butter.

I really wanted to enjoy this laptop, being as the very first gaming laptop I've ever owned. Now, leaves a bad taste in my mouth and a poor experience, so much so that I regret wasting my money buying this device. First few days the charging port had an issue, to where it provided me with a notification in the top right-hand corner, something about checking to make sure that I plugged the cable in correctly and all the way. Not sure what that was about, but that was the short of a major disappointment. 2 months into owning it, the battery was nearly dead, and I was charging it like normal. Few hours later of it being on the charge, the laptop wouldn't turn back on. The charging indicator light didn't appear, and I became worried. I reached out to Asus and they said I had to consider taking it to a local Best Buy since they're the nearest authorized technical support to possibly fix this unit. So, when I had the chance, I went to a Best Buy for them to tell me they cannot diagnose it if it cannot turn on. Unfortunately, who wants to have your item sent off to some other state to sit for as long as (possible several months) it needs to before someone even dares provide an assessment and diagnosis? Now that it's out of warranty, I decided to take it to a local computer repair shop to see what was wrong with it. Unbelievably so, turns out the motherboard has become so far from repair that the entire motherboard has to be replaced! I was quoted $950, which is basically about the cost of a brand-new laptop/desktop! Ridiculous, I know! So, not sure how the motherboard ended up fried within 2 months of gentle usage, but Asus, get it together. Seems as if one of your techs who put this machine together did the damage and now I'm out of $1350 of what I spent to buy this damaged and defective machine! To all considering this model, or any other gaming models by this brand, I say take heed of this warning. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND! Apparently, this model is no longer being supported as Asus did away with this model and only supporting and hyping up their latest 2022 - 2023 models. But don't worry, pretty soon, those models will become "old and obsolete", and they'll do away with them too. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I DO NOT Recommend!

Amazing performance in a light portable package. I have had it about a year and the performance is great for only 3-5 pounds. I do wish the keyboard wasn't metal sometimes because it can burn your fingers under certain loads. Altogether though it works great for its size.

The laptop is really light as a game laptop. Most of the games I have run beautifully on this laptop. The only problem I have is that 8GB RAM is soldered and adding a bigger RAM to the available slot will disable duel channel feature.

Excellent gamer laptop with advanced cooling capabilities. only reason 4 stars is lack of ram upgrade options & this model did not have the AniMatrix cover. Eventually upgraded to the 32gb model with AniMatrix option. very pleased with Asus overall

I’m an senior engineering student. I do game sometimes. Before I bought this laptop, I considered between the 2022 and 2021 model. I decided to get the 2021 model when I was $300 off. It runs all my engineering software very smoothly. Batter can survive 6 hours of light task such as Microsoft Word, Excel or browsing web. Can’t say much about the screen because I mostly connect it with an external monitor. Recommend buying it if you don’t do heavy gaming and when it’s on sale.
