It's unfortunate to hear that the unit is heating up during gameplay. This is not the kind of experience we want any of our customers to have. It is normal for the notebook, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update, and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. Please attempt the steps from the FAQ below. Sometimes it will just disconnect from the internet and I can’t even get it to show a list of network names anymore. It isn’t my internet cause I restart the router, other devices connect just fine and windows says there’s a problem with the adapter that it fails to fix so I haft to restart my laptop every-time this happens which is very often. I called Asus support but all they did is tell me how to restart the computer in the bios which obviously fixed it TEMPORARILY until it stopped connecting 10 minutes later because it’s broken. Asus support considered my laptop fixed because I can eternally waste my time restarting my laptop. Very disappointed with it now that I can’t return this expensive cheaply made laptop.

I've noticed when I play demanding games it heats up a bit but not too bad overall. The only sad thing is that this particular model doesn't come with the AniMe function.
