TL;DR I love this laptop! The build quality is amazing. The laptop feels very sturdy and premium. The all metal exterior make the device feel good in the hands. The sleek design keeps it from looking like a chunky gaming laptop that I’m not embarrassed to bring to Starbucks. I use the laptop for gaming and editing photos/videos. The display is a 165hz 1440p display. It is a perfect balance between having a crisp image and being smooth as butter without losing performance. The display is Pantone validated and is great for editing all the photos I take and I know I can trust the colors I see. The cooling keeps the device cool even under high loads. It’s impressive since it’s so thin. The fans can ramp up and be loud but it’s nothing compared to other gaming laptops I’ve owned. The overall experience using the laptop is great. It has facial recognition for quick login. It has a large smooth touchpad. The port selection is not crazy but it is a lot better then new laptops coming out. Lastly it has a great feeling keyboard at least in my opinion. I work at a computer repair store and it gets more and more difficult every year to find a upgradable laptop. The laptop has two nvme slots and I’ve already put a 1TB ssd in the second slot. If you want a lot of ram I would recommend getting a high spec when purchasing. The motherboard has one upgradable RAM slot and RAM soldered onto the board. You can upgrade RAM using the one slot but you can’t upgrade the soldered on RAM.

The 2022 Zephyrus G15 is clearly a well built and well designed laptop with enough GPU & CPU power for modern gaming, while having compact and professional looking design for everyday use. It’s lightweight and portable, looks and feels like a premium product. The battery life is good for a Windows machine, at least when it comes to enabling power saving features in Armoury crate such as “eco mode” and the 60hz panel option. Eco mode disables the GeForce GPU and uses the integrated CPU graphics, which makes sense for light use cases on battery. You can also enable silent mode for classroom/work settings. When plugged in, 3060 GPU can run nearly any game well, and the thermals are well managed. On performance fan setting, it gets loud. I use the Windows fan mode and it seems quieter without losing performance. This can all be found in Armoury Crate, which there is a key for on the keyboard. However, I close out of Armoury crate after dialing in settings because it seems to cause some performance issues when open. The 1440p 165hz IPS screen is beautifully sharp and responsive, but the 3060 GPU will struggle maxing out this display in graphically intensive games. I find running games at 1440p with medium settings and aiming for 60-100fps is the sweet spot for me. Forza Horizon 5, GTA V, Apex, Destiny 2 and more run at very high settings 1440p no issues. As my first laptop with a dedicated GPU, I’m almost shocked with this performance in a small, portable device. But it is expensive for just a 3060, which is why I recommend this device when it’s on sale closer to a thousand dollars or so. By the way, here’s a picture of the insides when I was adding a 2TB gen 4 SSD. I also plan on adding a 32gb stick of RAM for 40gb total. I always appreciate upgradability, now I’ll be able to store dozens of games.

Great gaming laptop. The screen is bright and has vivid colors, although pretty light the build quality is solid, and the overall look of the laptop is sleek and sophisticated. I love the look of the hinge mechanism and how it raises the bottom of the laptop off the table which helps with cooling as well. It starts up quickly and because of the armory crate software there are a lot of customizations that are possible for the RBG keyboard, other system setting and for gaming performance. The RBG keyboard is great looking. The computer runs games smoothly and does not run hot, with noticeable fan noise only with very demanding programs. The overall sound quality of the laptop is pleasant and balanced, without rattling of components with bass heavy songs, and the webcam has good quality as well. The battery life off charger while gaming is about 2-3 hours for me without modifying the specifications to conserve battery life (which for me isn’t bad because I’m generally near an outlet anyway). I was also able to add another 2 Tb of internal memory which is a plus! Overall I would highly recommend this laptop!

I’m a student who also games and edits videos, and this ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 honestly blew me away. The performance is insane — everything runs super smooth, from heavy apps to high-end games. The Ryzen 9 and RTX 3060 combo handles everything easily, and the screen is just beautiful with its sharp WQHD display and 165Hz refresh rate. What I love most is how lightweight and quiet it is. I can carry it to campus without feeling like I’m lugging around a brick, and even during gaming, it doesn’t get too loud. The battery life is surprisingly good for a gaming laptop too — it actually lasts through classes and study sessions. Overall, it’s been the perfect laptop for school, work, and fun. Definitely the best purchase I’ve made this year!

Its a good laptop with performence and noise, however there are problems with asus software of armoury crate and the cpu driver from amd with that 6900hs. It get very annoying when it tries to update itself or changes your profiles for power or color. I did end up cleaning it too hard and breaking keybaord, long fix i did.

    Great Entry Level Gaming Laptop

Great for gaming and work. I use this as a daily work computer and gaming computer. It’s getting at least 10-14 hours of use. Regular use is great with battery and has lasted about 5-6 hours with regular use for work (Microsoft Office Apps, Chrome, etc.). I usually plug it in when playing because that’s when the computer tends to run at optimal speed. When it was new it could run with out it but now it seems to get glitchy or you’ll see the frame rate slow down pretty quick in FPS games like COD. Simple games work fine without a charger plugged in always. I think my favorite thing about this compute is it’s simplicity, it’s look, doesn’t feel entirely beefy nor cheap but runs like a decent +$2000 gaming laptop build. Go for it if it’s your first gaming laptop. Especially now on clearance for a little over $1,300. A decent steal.

Best laptop of 2022. Considering the heavily discounted price I bought it for, it's the best laptop of 2023 too. Absolutely phenomenal deal. I recommend uninstalling Armoury Crate (built-in management software) and downloading GHelper instead. Minimizing bloatware is worth the effort, considering this thing has the specs to last you a long time.

I upgraded from a dino HP laptop that I bought back in 2009. I have never owned a gaming laptop before, so I was a little unsure at first, but I absolutely love it. The display is stunning and it has some serious speed when it comes to graphic heavy games. Best purchase I could have made.

Overall: This is a purpose driven laptop who wants to do gaming and work both. It has got everything that a Good gaming laptop needs. Portability is a good due to light weight as compared to other gaming laptop. My suggestion-if you are a budget friendly gamer, just go for it, it will server everything you want. Pros: Light Weight- This had impacted my selection to this laptop while I was searching, really impressed. Screen- Brightness is good, crispyness, loved it. Sound- Believe it or not, sound is just so perfect in terms of loudness, clarity. Cons: Heat- No doubt that it produces good heat, the upper area of keyboard gets warm quickly but gets normalise with the fans, it's gaming laptop so you need to bear that. Battery- it is not actually con but just a decent battery for a gaming laptop. But yes good marks for fast charging.

Incredible gaming laptop with the best price tag. Yes it can get noisy when overclocking the GPU but what do you expect, they condensed some of the better components on the market to fit a low profile laptop. I read multiple reviews prior to purchase from weebs with endorsements and was skeptic at first. They provided the perspective of someone who receives free products, not that of someone who budgets. If you’re budgeting, this is the best product for the price. Be fragile with it and it’ll last as long as you’ll need. If you’re barbaric with your electronics than you’ll be one of the doofs complaining about how your laptop lasted a month {insert sob story}.

This is the best laptop I've owned! Screen has a high refresh rate, and the battery life is the best thing on here! Usually get around 8 hours with the right settings. Also got this laptop specifically because I can charge it via USB C on the go which has helped a ton. I recommend uninstalling Asus Armory Crate and MyAsus programs and just installing "GHelper" from gitlab, it does pretty much all the same stuff but is light weight and much more convenient to use (One of the only programs that allows you to turn off the Fn key requirement as well to use the shortcuts like turning brightness down or volume without having to press the function key). While those other two Asus programs use a ton of resources. The Speakers are awesome on this as well! At first wasn't impressed, but once I realized I had to open the dolby Access app to configure the settings to Dynamic and "Dolby atmos for built-in speakers", then the sound made a huge difference! Best speakers on a laptop that I've heard and dolby atmos works really well making it sound like surround sound somehow coming from behind you.

Sure, here's a product review for the ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 15.6" WQHD 165Hz Gaming Laptop: The ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 15.6" WQHD 165Hz Gaming Laptop is an excellent choice for gamers who want a powerful and portable machine. Powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, this laptop can handle even the most demanding games with ease. The 16GB DDR5 memory and 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD provide plenty of storage and quick access to files and games. The 15.6" WQHD display with a 165Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync technology delivers smooth and responsive visuals, making it perfect for fast-paced games. The narrow bezel design adds to the immersive experience by minimizing distractions and maximizing screen space. The keyboard is well-designed and comfortable to type on, with per-key RGB lighting that can be customized to your liking. The speakers are surprisingly good for a laptop, delivering clear and powerful audio without distortion. The laptop's build quality is excellent, with a sleek and sturdy design that feels solid in the hand. The included power adapter is compact and easy to carry around, making it a great choice for gamers on the go. There are however a couple downside. One is that the laptop can get a bit hot during heavy gaming sessions, but the temps are not out of the ordinary as this is a common issue with gaming laptops due to their compact size. This can easily be mitigated with a cooling pad or by adjusting the laptop's power and/or fan settings using Armoury Crate (included) or your preferred clocking utility. The other is that it only has 2 USB ports, so i would strongly recommend a powered USB port accessory to expand accessory utilization and limit power draw on the machine. Overall, the ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 15.6" WQHD 165Hz Gaming Laptop is an impressive machine that delivers excellent performance, a high-quality display, and a comfortable keyboard in a portable package. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth the investment for serious gamers who want a top-of-the-line gaming laptop. 5/5 - would definitely buy it twice.

I bought this laptop as Open-Box Excellent Certified and let me tell you: It is worth the chance! The laptop came with its original charger and in great condition. There were little specs of dust but overall the laptop performs great :) I also upgraded the storage to have an additional 1TB M.2 SSD and the transfer speeds are really great! When playing games it may get a little hot towards the middle of the keyboard area but a simple change in the Armoury Crate can lower the power consumption; leaving it cooler with around the same performance. I use this as my main computer for college and using its Silent mode keeps the laptop very quiet and cool. Also the battery life is AMAZING! I averaged around 9-10 hours and all I did was change the GPU mode to eco which disables the RTX 3060 and uses the Ryzen integrated graphics. The only CON I have is that the laptop shows all the smudges from your hands on the palm rests and trackpad, but it can be easily wiped. Overall, I've had this laptop for around a month and it's pretty amazing!

Excellent laptop. I have had no issues with overheating and have run some decently heavy games on it to test if it would. I've had no lag at all in online games as well as the graphics being incredible. The keyboard RGB is only one color at a time, but looks great. It comes with the ASUS Armory Crate where you can see all the stats (CPU, GPU, heating etc) at a glance, making testing it's capabilities easy.
