This laptop is very good, use it specially for coding, but also on games. Battery and charging is excellent, but not long while playing AAA games. Awesome how the fans can be changed to a certain speed, and how smooth it runs on high quality. Siege works PERFECT on max settings, just be aware to keep an eye on the battery. It does heat up fast, so make sure to open it all the way.

This is my first gaming laptop. I was able to grab it while it was on sale. Currently, for the full price, I'd almost say go with the 2024 version... I'm super impressed with the performance this little guy has. I grabbed a 2TB SSD to swap out before I booted it up, and it was a smooth install. Being able to install the OS from the BIOS was pretty easy. There's been some issues I've read about on here, but just make sure the date & time are correct and you should be good to go. It's done great with every game I've thrown at it. It even is able to run some my old gaming PC couldn't. I'm still trying to tweak things with the battery, trying to maximize battery life. I do recommend getting rid of a few bloatware apps, and installing G-Helper. I also noticed that the front facing camera is 1080p, even though in the specs it's listed as 720p.

This is a well constructed and powerful laptop. Small form factor, very thin, lightweight and aesthetically pleasing. Minimalist yet stylish. We are at a crossroads where technology exceeds the gaming requirements and this laptop fits the bill at a pricepoint that cannot be ignored. I thought I would need to ipgrade the memory or the NVME SSD storage but I only play 1 or 2 games at any given time and I have not had any memory issues. I have ran multiple games at max settings and with very generous FPS. It seems tdch upgrades are all aboit getting extra frames or runinng high performance on multiple monitors which I am not concerned about. Best bang for the buck if caught on sale when it was $500 off. If this wouldnt have been on sale at such a great price I woild have boight a much larger Asus Tuff.

Performance and battery have been great so far I can easily get 9-10 hours of video playback without dimming the display all the way down, and the ability to disable dGPU without requiring a restart is a must-have feature. I would also recommend upgrading the ram to 32GBs or more as there is an empty SODIMM slot.

Great laptop for gaming. It’s very light. I take it to my classes. Has a good battery life and is really portable.

Pros - Performs brilliantly and 165 hz screen is very smooth. - Comes with game pass and runs any game you throw at it with atleast 60 hz. - Touchpad is precise and keyboard is joy to use. RGB lovers paradise- so many color options to choose from (Ghelper makes it easy to change RGB colors). - While not Macbook good, speakers do sound pretty decent. Be sure to change it to dynamic mode from Dolby app that comes with the app. - GHelper is awesome open source control tool for Asus laptops. Pls install it and remove Asus's Armoury Crate for your sanity. Cons - Battery life is far from the best. If you lower refresh rate to 60hz and in efficiency mode it does run longer by an hour or so. But after being used to 165 hz, running it at 60 hz feels depressing. At 165 hz and in silent mode with GPU off you're looking at only 5 hrs of battery life while doing lightweight office tasks with Youtube videos here and there. - While the touchpad is precise, the bottom portion of it feels wobbly. It just gives unfinished experience and speaks less quality. - The surface where your palm rests feels quite rough especially in the first month and smoothens slowly. Kind of nitpicky but just figured i would lay it out. - The app- Armoury Crate that comes with the laptop feels clunky. Pls replace it with open source app called GHelper as soon as you get this laptop.

This is an amazing laptop! Runs games of carying requirements such as League of Legends and Ark Survival Evolved! Its very powerful despite being a very lightly weight laptop! This is also great for studying as well. Im able to run data analysis programs(SPSS) with many other tabs and articles up! Of course the laptop can get hot, but turn on Turbo mode for a bit, it cools down great with the fans! Ive had it for about a month now and it’s a 10/10! Highly recommend as a college student and a gamer.

Really good laptop, lightweight and portable. But I wish I would have gotten the screen upgrade. Compared to my macbook pro m1 it's really a step down. Good for gaming though at mid settings!

I've been always a mac user but since I needed to work with a program that had issue running with apple M1 chip, I decided to try this laptop that for me was the best for the budget. I live in Mexico and for the same price I only could get a very basic laptop. So this was a great great deal for me. At first of course the size of the screen was little for me but now I have a 27" monitor connected to it and I love it. It's fast, silent, lightweight and I love the design. No cons for me. Very happy with this product.

Honestly an amazing laptop, its small so I can take it wherever I want and its powerful to where I can play my favorite games smoothly like fortnite modded mincraft ect. I would recommend to anyone but only the price I got it as which was 1000 which is 600 dollars off.(I did have to update the gpu to play fortnite but it was easy and very user-friendly)

As I titled, it's a perfect budget laptop! It's got all the bells and whistles I needed as I am a developer, having a strong permance lightweight machine on the go to do a mix of light and heavy workhas been perfect for my needs. Would recommend to anyone who wants a mobile monster of a laptop to do gaming, art and development work on.

First of all, the model is equipped with a 2.5k 165Hz 500nit high resolution, high refresh rate and high brightness screen, and has 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut characteristics, basically covering most games and creative design scenes, almost no obvious shortcomings, which is also in line with the hybrid positioning of the model. The left side of the body is the side air outlet, the power round port, support HDMI 2.1 FRL (full blood version 2.1), support 100W PD USB-C (using USB-4 protocol) and 3.5mm audio interface. The right side of the body is equipped with a TF card reader that supports UHS-II, USB-C 3.2Gen2 (does not support charging), two USB-A 3.2Gen2 and the right air outlet. The interface specification of the whole machine is quite excellent in the 14-inch body, especially the new TF card reader, making the type and number of interfaces of the whole machine are very satisfactory. The Phantom 14 is equipped with 16GB of DDR5 memory, and the on-board single-channel memory cannot be upgraded, but an empty slot is reserved, which can be inserted into the memory to form a dual channel, which is very good.

It does everything I need it to do and exceeded what I expected. Good battery life considering the specs. I can run almost every game I play at max graphics with some in the high 90's and most well over 130. Great for studio work with an extra display. One problem is the thermals the top sometimes gets so hot its kinda hard to touch without it being seriously uncomfortable. It never affected my typing experice though since the keyboard stays decently cool. I'm very happy with this purchase and strongly reccomend anyone looking for a good price to perfomance for high end laptops. screen gets very bright and looks great. It gets noisy but all gaming laptops do. Lot's of cool details in the design of this laptop.

Bought for gaming + school and it is amazing. Super lightweight and has destroyed every game I have thrown at it. The silent mode works well to avoid those awkward moments in class when your fans decide to throw a conniption. Highly recommend.

I love this laptop! It’s super fast for gaming and multitasking, with a Ryzen 9 CPU and an RTX 4060 GPU. The screen is amazing, with 165Hz refresh rate and QHD resolution. The AniMe Matrix LED on the back is so cool. The laptop is light and has a long battery life. The design is sleek and classy, with a white metal body.

Very good machine, it has great power and can run anything the only cons of this machine is that it comes with 512gb is you buy this for gaming it will eventually end up with no space i bought an extra 16gb ram to add and will swap out the ssd.Adding ram can increase its efficiency in editing.Overall great machine.

Great laptop for the price! Performs well for my use case. Haven’t had any trouble with the games I play even with just the 4060. Doesn’t get too hot either. And the screen is beautiful! Only thing that bugs me a little is the charging port on the middle of the left side, which sometimes is a little obstructive.

I'm overall pleased with the laptop except one thing. The battery. After one month of usage with the laptop plugged in most of the time I've already lost about 7.5% of the battery capacity. The battery has a design capacity of 76,000 mWh but after the first month of use won't charge above roughly 71,000 mWh. It's been stable at that level for a few months. It runs Llama 3.1 7B in LMStudio very fast on the 4060. The NPU driver has to be installed manually from AMD's website and is still Beta software and I've only found one piece of software call Amuse 2.0.0 that makes very light use of it so far.

Once you’ve finished going cross-eyes over specs, go look at the display model for the g14. Pictures can make it look flimsy but it has a great composition and feel. The open hinge and aluminum lid are smooth and rigid and usually cool to the touch. When GPUs heat up, the extra lift from the hinge really lets it breathe well on any flat surface. The 14” screen with 1440p display is beautiful in any light and cleanly responsive in all resolution / frequencies I’ve tested and switches easily. The RTX 4060 has impressed me by pushing most of my games into the Ultra space and allowed me to play steam VR games with the Meta Quest 2. It takes the stock power block (240w) and Ethernet adapter which renders the laptop immobile but then you have VR so… To play more on-the-go you can scale games down medium to high and run on a USB-C charger. I have been able to play Overwatch 2 and even CoD with 100w charger without draining the battery while playing. I HIGHLY recommend getting a magnetic USB-C adapter day one, which should allow up to 140w charge. A protection plan might cover a charge port but it’s easier to replace the adapter The 780m discrete gpu is surprisingly capble at playing FPS games in the medium to low settings for maybe an hour on battery. Future ready, NvME SSD 512gb super fast but full after 10 games, 16-32gb DDR5 4800 upgrades very easy. Windows 11 home is stable and intuitive. Asus ships several options to control performance and fans so you can get power where you want it
