I can't say enough good things about this laptop!! Its design is amazing. It's super thin but VERY powerful.
From power off to power on is about 6 seconds and no delay in performance.
You can play all types of games (League, COD, Valorant, etc.) at the highest specs with absolutely NO problem.
The fans are quiet, the machine stays cool, and it never overheats.
You also have full control over EVERYTHING internal on the laptop, (Fan speed, battery power, performance, EVERYTHING).
I wouldn't recommend any other laptop for gaming, photo/video editing, or even just casual use.
10/10, 5 stars, 100% would recommend.

Battery life is great. I get around 7-8 hours real world usage. Good for light gaming. I get 70+ FPS on COD with high settings. Good all around computer. Small and portable too.

This is a great laptop for those who want to look professional while at the same time do some gaming. It doesn't have the raw power to run high end games on ultra setting. But I think you can add more ram. The build quality is fantastic. The laptop doesn't have all the crazy rgb's of a gaming rig. So you can take it to work or school and not stand out. The keyboard feels really good.
The main downside is the screen. This is the entry level ROG Zephyrus G14 so the screen is only 60 hz. That won't matter for games like Diablo or Civ. But if you're playing COD or Valorant it might not be able to keep up. Other than that though... I can't complain!

This laptop is just perfect. It's lightweight, portable, efficient and beautiful. This makes for a great debut for AMD; their CPUs are not to be trifled with. AMD is making a great comeback; it is now quite the competitor in the laptop industry. The boot up time is quite fast. The gaming is impeccable. ROG lives up to its name with this machine. Along with it comes the ASUS software and they have really helped me with getting the most out of my cores. The graphics are on point and really made most of my games look quite realistic. ASUS really has a sense of aesthetics. I am now officially a citizen of the Republic of Gamers!

Rated one of the best laptops for 2020 and 2021 by multiple websites and it lives up to the reviews! Fun to use and powerful in a very nice package. As a software engineer, I test and use many different laptops (HP, Dell, MSI, Asus, Gigabyte, Toshiba) and I really like this new series by Asus. The Zephyrus line has a cool lighting option on the laptop case, but this models does NOT have that feature. It is slated to be available by the end of 2021 and will cost 2x this models price. As fun as that may be, it has nothing to do the quality of this laptop. A great buy all around.

The price is normally $1099 but I was able to get it on sale for $949. It's very fast and is able to do whatever I need to do. It's able to play games very smoothly.

Laptop is solid when running games at mid settings, but my one complaint is the fan noise. The fans cannot be turned off, so they're just running 24/7 when you open the lid. The noise produced is also really loud when at full capacity. I tried messing around in the "Armoury Crate" to turn them off until a certain temperature but they either don't let me or the system just bugs out and the fans alternate between not running and at full power. But for the most part, a good laptop for the price I bought it at. ($800)

This laptop is great! It is speedy but it crashes a lot (I get tons of BSODs but these seem to be driver (probably NVidia graphics) issues). It is speedy and the gtx 1650 is the mobile not max q so more performance. 4800HS is a beast got over 4000 on cinebench r20. added a 16gb ram stick (only 1 free slot, only 1 m.2 slot currently used by ssd). I have to say that the SSDs they use are not impressive however. Overall I think it is worth it especially if you buy the open box excellent models.

Got this to replace a Dell laptop I use for private work and consulting. Performance is phenomenal, with a ram upgrade. I chose to add an 16gb to make the total 24gb, not sure why a computer this expensive didn't come with 16gb. One thing I do notice from time to time is flickering at the bottom of the screen, right under the taskbar in windows. Solid computer overall and worth it if you're looking for something more portable but powerful.

Have had the laptop for several days now and have run several different tests and games on it and it has passed every one of them very well. I did notice other reviews about the fans being loud when not plugged in, but I haven't had this issue even though others noticed it right out of the box. Maybe they tightened things up further into production. But this laptop is super smooth and is well worth the price when on a good sale.

The size and feel of this laptop is great, but it has no web cam which I knew about before purchasing. I had a slight issue with it after Windows updated and the system automatically updated the bios. I worked through that whole process and it works great now. I plan to upgrade the hard drive to a larger one. I would have upgraded to the next version up for the hard drive, but this one was on sale so it is more cost effective to upgrade it myself.

Got this on sale and nothing can compare. Fan can be loud at times even on silent mode, but runs everything I need for school without trouble. Would definitely recommend. And yes no Camera if you need one. I very rarely actually use a camera, so I just used a Logitech when needed.

Great keyboard, trackpad, power, battery, screen AND refinement!
I thought I wanted a new Dell XPS (or Microsoft surface laptop)
with the huge trackpad and 4k screen. I bought one (XPS) and returned it and purchased this little guy that wasn't even on my radar because it did so many things better and just as well at a lower cost. These are not 2 computers usually compared to each other but they should be. This screen is not as bright as the XPS but bright enough. The trackpad is not as big as the XPS but glass and smooth with a great click mechanism. The screen isn't 4k but looks great and doesn't drain battery like a 4k screen, I do love "pin-sharp" font that you get on 4k but not at the cost of half battery life or more. The best keyboard out there on a laptop arguably is on the Lenovo Thinkpad, and this keyboard comes as close as any other with much better everything else. Also the XPS ran hot to the touch when being pushed, this stays cool. The AMD processor on this laptop crushes Intel variants. This laptop is flying under the radar labeled as a gaming laptop which it can do capably but it is also great for many others. Oh, and you can upgrade the ram to 16 GB yourself for about $30 in 5 minutes. Compare that to making that selection on many laptops for $200 dollars or more. And the already large 500 GB NVME SSD is upgradable if you'd like. Even at regular price, this is the deal on laptops, but on sale, it's a no-brainer. Well done ASUS.

If anyone is comparing $1,000 computers and stuck between 4k or Touch-Screen options for the same price as a 1080p gaming computer. This is a better buy. It operates 10x better for the same use. With a 4k - Touch-Screen you're paying the same price for a double glass layered touch screen as a much higher powered operating system with good quality picture quality.

This was very good purchase for me, they give me $150 discount, it can just replace MacBook, MacBook is expensive and new Mac can’t even run many of the apps, this can play games like gta 5 at 70-80 FPS on regular performance mode, turbo mode I never tried. And Fortnite on 80 FPS on regular mode. But the screen is 60HZ.

Very happy with speed and image quality. Durable build, reasonably light. Good value on sale. The keyboard lighting could be a problem for some. At particular angles, keyboard lighting "leaks?" During demo, take a look. Not a problem, when viewed overhead. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend a look.

So far I love it. Very fast. The right size for portability for me. The keyboard feels great, the screen is very nice, and it does everything I need it to do. There are 2 memory slots and will most likely upgrade the RAM. Also grabbed an external ssd for more storage. Overall great value.

I've seen plenty of negative reviews of this product so far, mainly to deal with BIOS issues and the screen bugging out. From my understanding, these issues were solved in future updates. I feel like I would have run into this issue by now if it were the case. But overall, after about 5 days, I'm thoroughly satisfied. The chassis has a premium feel to it. The keyboard deck is made out of a comfortable-feeling magnesium alloy. The top is aluminum mixed with plastic, but it does not feel cheap. The Eclipse Gray model solves the lackluster backlit keyboard for the most part. The speakers are quite impressive for a laptop, thanks to the enhanced sound featuring Dolby Atmos, which is fully customizable in the Dolby Access software. This model is equipped with a GeForce GTX 1650 GPU, which isn't the greatest, but it runs most lighter games with ease at high settings. It has one of the most powerful CPUs this year, a Ryzen 7 4800HS from AMD. It is a beast when it comes to multi-core tasks, such as video editing. The Armoury Crate software from Asus/ROG is somewhat complicated for the average person, but if you look into it a bit, you won't have a hard time navigating all the settings. As far as thermals go, this laptop is built pretty well. Plenty of ventilation on the sides and near the bottom of the screen, as well as an Ergolift hinge for added air intake on the bottom of the device. While running games it does become hot, but I imagine with selecting a different fan setting, it might be cooler. The fans are not really that loud, even at the max setting. I purchased this model over the others because of the Black Friday early savings. 900$ is a much more suitable price for the package you get with the basic model. There's virtually no competition out there for this 14" beast. If you want a quality product that comes with a decent GPU and a very powerful CPU in a more compact shell, this is the perfect laptop for you. Highly recommend. Will update this or post another review if I encounter any problems.
