This laptop is a great value performer. For the price you get a pretty powerful processor and a decent dedicated gpu. While the gpu is the largest drawback, I found that it was good enough for some light VR as well as good enough for game development. The battery life is also pretty great for a gaming laptop. It won’t beat a MacBook in battery life but is decent enough that you won’t be searching for an outlet super frequently. There are some downsides, like not having a webcam, a competent but not beautiful screen, and funky ram compatibility, but that’s to be expected at this price point. If you are going to upgrade the ram, some 3200mhz modules require xmp to operate at this frequency. Sadly this laptop doesn’t support xmp so finding a module that works at 3200mhz without xmp pretty important. Overall really good gaming laptop and great daily driver for those of you that need power on the go.

Great build quality and size Can’t beat the performance at this size Great speakers as well Runs a bit hot, just make sure to do your research into lowering temps and extending battery life The screen response time is slow so not actually the best screen for competitive gaming

Bought this for my IT class and I am glad that I did! It does everything I need for class and can still play games that are very taxing on a PC. Only gripe is that it didn’t come with a camera and the fans can get a little loud even when not playing games.

Great Battery Life. Really fast. No issues found. Only Reinstalled windows and upgraded the ram to 16 gb (very easy process) Follow tutorial from /r/G14 to get much higher battery life. Get 8 hours now.

Great entry level gaming computer. Ive been running several high-impact games on it at once and have experienced little frame rate latency. When the computer has been running at high performance for several hours it tends to have an issue connecting to the internet. No Webcam

Laptop is the perfect size for me and battery life is awesome for something than can actually do real work and game. Touchpad is the best of any windows PC I've every used and the speakers are really good too. The screes is just ok but not terrible and its a great compliment to my workstation at home. Unfortunately Asus did a few really dumb things... The usb type A ports are in the worst possible spot if you use a mouse. The laptop runs really hot unless its set on the silent profile, and even though most of the chassis is metal, the bottom is plastic. The fans spin all the time, even on idle. There is a way to change that, but you need to look up all the tweaks for the G14 on google. If you do the correct tweeks that you can find through a google search, you can really make this laptop awesome, but stock it runs hot and the fans work the whole time. Perfect laptop for my use case and way better than any other 14 inch laptop on the market. It basically makes every 13 laptop pointless as well.

I picked this up on a lark because I needed something that I could take with me on longer trips. So far, it's fantastic in that it plays what I want on some of the highest settings. The price was a little intense for a 14" screen though, I feel like if I hadn't been in such a hurry, I could have shopped harder for a better deal online. That being said, I bought a cooling panel with it, and so far, it's been an absolute monster in terms of gaming. I was hoping for some higher ram but it's expected for the price. I'm looking forward to see how long it's life expectancy is, I generally run my laptops into the ground within a five year window. I'm hoping it has the durability to keep it going. That being said, it's a great purchase so far, decent specs, lightweight and even my wife loves it, which was a tougher sell than anything this laptop was up against about me.

bought this for my brother. it is a great laptop. if you are an average gamer, the 1650 version is good enough to able handle most games. the only issue I have is the power plug is in an unusual place and the fan is pretty loud when gaming.

Lovely little laptop. I consistently get 9+ hours of media consumption and productivity out of the G14 with high brightness. Gaming while plugged in I am playing Dirt Rally 3.0 on highest settings at 55+FPS. It's no powerhouse by modern standards but as someone who is upgrading from an i5 powered desktop built in 2013 I am more than impressed. My favorite thing about this laptop is the screen. Unlike some other laptops I have used the color rating and brightness are actually impressive in person. Would I be happier with 400 nits? Yes - but this screen has great colors and is plenty bright enough for well lit indoor spaces. If you are looking for absolute power look elsewhere. If you are looking for a do it all machine that with a good screen and attractive finish this is the perfect laptop.

This is a great laptop for a college student. It is lightweight, has long battery life, and is very fast. The settings out of the box are good, but with some simple tweaks you can get even better performance, such as more battery life.

If you need a 14" gaming laptop this is an excellent choice. The build quality might be the best for a gaming laptop and built in sound is very nice with up firing atmos speakers. The 1650 GPU is more than capable of playing 1080p medium to high settings. Be aware that your display will auto dim and look washed out / lack of contrast because of a setting inside of the Radeon control panel called Vary-Bright. Once this is disabled the display is pretty nice when maxed out brightness. I found the AMD processor perfectly fine but not the best for Photoshop compared to an 11th gen i7 Intel processor which wiped the floor vs AMD in this Adobe program. Also the SSD isn't the fastest with read/write speeds but its fine. Overall if you can grab this on-sale its a great little laptop for gaming on the go.

I love this laptop. It’s super fast and the battery lasts forever. It’s really hard to get more performance for the money plus I think it looks sick. Do yourself a favor and give AMD a shot because intel has nothing that can keep up.

My favorite things about this laptop are the finger sensor and the screen. The screen looks great. The colors are crisp and bright, making gaming or watching movies an enjoyable experience. The finger sensor is easy to use. In addition, it's light and looks, and it feels premium. The audio sounds fine. However, I would like to point out the things that don't bother me so much but may affect a person's decision to buy this. - 2 USB ports - no webcam - fans get noticeably loud - nice keyboard I've also noticed the coating of the laptop has started to peel on the inside. It's probably from me being rough with my stuff but wanted to give a heads up about it. Great for work and for light gaming.

Coming from a 2011 macbook pro, I can definitely say that I needed an upgrade. While the Ryzen 9 model is the one everyone is talking about online, I think the base model is a perfect option for anyone who wants a great laptop. I've played RE3 and Tomb Raider which played excellently on high settings. While playing the laptop can get pretty hot but if you go online you can find a way to tweak the settings so it doesn't become a burden. What stopped me from getting the more expensive model is that it only comes in white, which is known to make seeing the keyboard difficult. Image looks amazing with the anti glare screen which plays high resolution videos like butter. If you can find it on sale it is the perfect laptop for the occasional gamer who wants a snappy machine.

Quality feel and setup. Recent purchase so I can't say much about the performance. Only downside for some is the lack of webcam but, I assume you knew that when you purchased it. Very satisfied with it so far!
