s Take on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 Gaming Laptop

As an enthusiast who's experienced the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 firsthand, I can say it's a tailored for gaming. The 16-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate makes for seamless visuals. The combination of the 13th Gen Intel Core i7 and NVIDIA RTX 4060 ensures top-notch performance even in the most demanding games. The 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD balance ample space and swift load times. Although modern games may demand higher space. I have recently purchased it and played a few games. It's portable for such a performance-oriented device i.e. does not feel really heavy compared to older gaming laptops, and the Eclipse Gray finish is both professional and sleek.

This laptop is one of the best. After returning the HP omen 16 due to high temperatures, this asus rtx 4060 has not let me down. The desgin is slick and professional. The fan noise is loud but way quiter than most 4060 laptops. Hardly gets hot and is always on the cool side compared to mostbgaming laptops. The screen display is vibrant and looks way better than others. The battery life last a long time and the charger is nice and slim. I love how the screen is able to prop the laptop up so it allows for airflow. Im getting close to 11k in timespy and thats almost a 4070 score! Wow! This laptop is powerful, cool, quiet and worth every penny. I would recommend this to people who love to game and also want portability. Ive seen and used many gaming laptops. This one is on the nicer side for a good price. If i had one complaint, it would be i cant manually adjust the fan speed in the amrory crate app. But you can put it in turbo mode which will turn the fan up once tou start a game. Other than that this is pretty much perfection in my eyes. This 4060 is worth the price. I woudnt pay more for a 4070 when you almost getting same peformance. Buy this machine, you wont regret it.

Excellent Laptop for Gaming and 3D Art

I am a 3D artist and I purchased this laptop for use as a mobile workstation. I wanted something that would be directly comparable to my PC which has a 2070 Super and a Ryzen 7 in it. The power of the 4060 in the ROG Zephyrus benchmarks almost identically to my 2070S, and while I've heard arguments both for and against the i7 compared to the Ryzen 7, I was very happy with the comparable performance. The battery life is advertised at 10 hours, but if you're playing games or, in my case, rendering 3D models, the battery life seems to go a lot faster. My desktop has a 1440p 60hz monitor, and the transition to and from the 1920x1200 was much better than I had expected, and the difference in framerate was quite noticable in most games. If anything, the only complaint I have is that 500gb isn't much in terms of storage these days, and I ended up having to buy another m.2 to fill the expansion slot with. It is also worth mentioning that I purchased this laptop as an excellent rated open box, and I have not noticed any damage or malfunctions since owning it.

I got this laptop on Christmas 2023 and its already march and so far no complaints besides the fan noise (but thats to be expected for these kind of gaming laptop) I love how light it is (4lbs and some), the Armoury Crate software that's installed to customize CPU/GPU voltage, fan, macros and more. You can basically play most of the popular games right now like Apex, Call of duty, helldivers 2 and my all time favorite right now is escape from tarkov. I did upgrade the memory ram to 32gb but not sure if i can go upto 48gb ASUSA website says upto 48gb but here it says 32gb. Overall, i love this laptop and how versitile it is. I give it a 9/10

I've had this laptop for just about a month now and i couldn't be happier. I can mod and play Cyberpunk 2077, Skyrim, GTA and TW3. I've got one Skyrim mod pack that's got over 1200 mods installed and this laptop handles it like a champ. On top of quick yet smooth multitasking while I'm downloading mods and other applications. It's everything I wanted and more, but the main con is the limited storage, I had to buy a 1tb SSD maybe two days after i bought this computer because it takes no time run out of space. That 512gb is actually closer to 412gb.

A cool machine in terms of performance/temps

All of the components are very good and powerful, the screen is nice with almost no backlight bleed on my open box unit, with the calibration settings on the screen the colors look really good. But the best and most important part is applying the correct settings on CPU/GPU, this machine is a really cold one, usually when playing Starfield on Medium-High I get 50-60 FPS while my temps are at a maximum of 76°C but usually even in Modern Warfare 2 @comp settings I stay even below the 71 degree mark. Any other game just goes to a maximum of the 75°C with no compromise on performance, disabling boost on the CPU is a must. Also, the heat going through the exhaust vent on the lower part of the screen is no issue, even when I tested the limits the screen held well those hot 95 degrees, the machine is really great at handling everything I throw at it but 32 gigs of RAM is the great spot for just about anything, unless you need more memory for specialized/content creation go with a fast but CL22 stick of 32GB RAM.

Overall great gaming laptop good mix of features for the price. The 10 core intel 13th gen Cpu is powerful and also efficient when on battery. The RTX 4060 is very good for med to high quality gaming at 144fps. The screen is color accurate and reasonably bright and the 16:10 aspect ratio is really nice for that extended screen area. The keyboard is ok , but it is reasonably big. The speakers are excellent on this laptop and are to the left and right of the keyboard. I am happy Asus added a windows hello IR camera since the facial recognition is really handy for logging in and using passkeys. I am very happy with the purchase !

I first started off with the ROG Ally, which I really enjoyed. It is a great hand held. However after consideration of what I wanted/needed for portability, I decided that for the price a laptop seemed better. I tried an Alienware x14, which worked perfect but again comparing price and specs for future proofing, this model was worth it. The i7 and 4060 pair nicely and play games on higest settings with ease. Diablo IV plays buttery smooth. The only con worth noting is that the cooling system (fans) are quite loud. The exhaust port is positioned weirdly also, where it aims at the bottom of the screen, hopefully that doesn’t cause problems later. I got this item discounted at open box pricing (highly recommend vs full price). Would recommend to others looking for a solid gaming laptop!

Amazing laptop that has great speed. I use heavy rendering multiple softwares at same time and it runs seamlessly. I will definitely recommend this model to anyone who wants to run multiple programs simultaneously. Great machine. Value for money. Same specs other brand laptops are much more expensive than Asus ROG.

I got this laptop on sale for $1049. I found it to be the cheapest 4060 laptop that didn't make any major sacrifices. I was torn between this G16 and the G14 Zephyrus at first, but I'm glad I went with this 16" model instead. When gaming at native resolution, it can push even higher fps than the G14 Zephyrus since it has 33% less pixels to power. The RTX 4060 is more appropriate for this resolution imo. 1200p might sound somewhat low, but at 16" the image is as crisp as a large 4k monitor. I immediately threw in a 2TB NVMe drive and 32GB RAM stick. The installation process was relatively painless and everything worked fine after booting up. After about 2 months of use, it's been smooth sailing so far. There can be lightly audible coil whine sometimes, and I wish the screen got a bit brighter, but that's all minor stuff I can live with. This laptop is great and I have no buyer's remorse. I 100% reccomend this over the new 2024 OLED models until the prices come down a lot.

I brought the laptop for Personal Use and Gaming for my Son. This Laptop comes with Windows 7 which helped me enable all the controls and safety for my Son's Profile. After a lot of research I brought this Laptop which provides good gaming performance as well as decent battery life. We need to set the Laptop in Performance mode to avoid Heating during the Gaming.

Does a good job at playing most video games at 1080P with 150+ FPS. The battery life is really bad even if you are just typing a word doc. this is a gaming laptop but with it needing to be plugged in at all times its almost like a desktop. the keyboard is pretty bad as well not a huge fan of typing on this laptop. If i could go back i would have just bought a desktop anyways. especially for the $$$. 1200 after tax can get you into a really nice desktop with a lot better specs and the opportunity to upgrade components and use whatever keyboard you want.
