Fine machine but the screen bleeds... this is complete random chances The lack of MUX switch is a shame for a high-end PC. 2022 version is something to look into.

This computer has been very reliable as one that my mother has used to play Tower Unite for more than a year. We've had no issues with it since it was purchased. I did notice that eventually the ink was wearing off on the "W" key, so we applied a keyboard protector from Amazon and it's worked great without issues ever since.

    Beast with some quirks

Ultra fast, but I primarily use it hooked up to an external monitor for the best performance (to avoid internal gpu mingling). Keyboard is fantastic. QHD screen is vibrant and sharp... resolution seems to be the sweet spot for 15.6 inch screens. Fit and finish is good. Not sure how to do much with all the RGB. I wish the laptop had two usb-c ports instead of one. I use it to drive an external monitor (the port is also display port 1.4) and it leaves me hooking up external SSDs through usb 3.2. Sound is good... almost as loud as a MacBook. Louder than other pc laptops I’ve used. Got 13,629 on multi core Cinebech R23. 1,545 single core. Plays the games I’ve tossed it well, though there always seems to be some tinkering that has to be done to get things running optimally. Games like doom just stop running. Times you miss a console. The laptop is a winner with a few quirks. Running content creation software as well. Too early to pass judgement, but early indicators are that the scar 15 will handle photoshop and premiere with ease. Overall, a speed demon with a couple flaws (not enough USB-c ports and that darn optimus).

Pretty perfect, but a little smudgy

I've gone back and forth with laptops for the last 6 months or so, and finally ended up with this one. It's pretty perfect for my needs. I'm a professional video editor who wanted something portable so I could keep working remotely in this strange new covid world should I decide to leave my main system for a couple weeks, plus I love video games and wanted something that could run AAA games for awhile. I also wanted some decent battery life for the times I just want to surf the web or watch youtube videos. This checks pretty much all of those boxes. I was able to upgrade the ram to 64gigs, so it can run Avid or Premiere no problems. It obviously shreds pretty much any game you throw at it. And the battery life in energy saver with the iGPU turned on is in the 7-8 hour range for web surfing. And the RGB and number pad are pretty cool. QHD screen is great. And the thermals aren't bad at all. Fans can run a little loud, but that's to be expected in a gaming laptop. My only knocks would be that it's very smudgy on the black plastic. Would've been nice if they could've done aluminum or a less smudgy material. Other knock is if you plan to upgrade the SSDs, be careful. The screws strip easily. One is stripped so badly, it won't budge at all, but there is a work around, where you can unscrew the larger card and fit a SSD in that way. But for an expensive machine, they could've probably gotten some better screws in there. Otherwise, it's a great little machine.

An inch by 15 inch Xbox Series X

After many desktops trying to replicate my Xbox series X, none would do it. After testing many laptops, this one wins. Not bc it’s so expensive, but this is an Xbox series X in an inch by 15 inch square.

Well I was hyped that’s I was able to buy one in the first place, got lucky I guess. But my first impression was this thing is heavy. Just a bit over 5 pounds but after using a iPad so long I was spoiled. Anyway the screen was ok but not much to brag about not as sharp as I hoped. It looked good with all the lights but you kinda get tired of that after a day or two. After about day 4 of having it I was unable to turn it off. Every time I would try and shut it down it would just restart over and over. So I took it back for a refund. If something that you spend almost 3k on starts having issues return it immediately! Don’t try and fix it just take it back. Hope you gamers have better luck.
