Great device so far. No issues. Easy to configure. Phone app is helpful. Coverage for my apartment and patio is good. Didn't give 5 stars due to the fact that I don't have any WiFi6 devices so I can't test those. I had a 8 year old Netgear router that I figured I should upgrade, looking to the future of replacing my older devices. I can say this I am getting slightly higher speed test results on existing devices. Very satisfied with purchase and looking forward to the time when I upgrade my devices because I will be ready.

My previous router was a Netgear RangeMax which gave good service for 12 years until the 2.4 GHZ radio gave up the ghost. After reading nightmare reviews for routers from many top manufacturers, I purchased this Asus model based on its great reviews. My first impressions are that this is an outstanding router. To begin, setup literally could not have been easier. Connected it to my cable modem, powered it on, and completed the setup in five minutes via the mobile app. It was not necessary to update network adapter drivers on any of my PCs. Range is great - I get excellent connectivity from anywhere in my 1550 sq ft home. This includes two smart TVs, two wireless printers, two PCs, smartphones, wireless security with multiple cameras, and wifi connected lighting in multiple rooms. The app is the crown jewel. The interface is intuitive and fun to use. Using it, I can see real-time traffic, know every device connected to the network - and identify and label them. The best way to do this when their identity is not clear is grab the MAC address from the device label or from the app associated with the device (like wifi lighting) and match it to the MAC address given for the mystery device by the Asus app. The app reports connection quality for every online device so no need to use a wifi mapper. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend this router for anyone with a network environment similar to my own.

I had a XR500, my second nighthawk product. Very cool looking, cool names, functional. There was an outage in my area for a few hours, upon reconnection the XR500 fried. Did some quick research on local modem options, as I needed the internet immediately for work. To my pleasant surprise, this ASUS router works better than the XR500, at half the price. Better signal strength overall and no drops yet. Really good software, pretty much plug and play with my Xbox.

Needed an update for my aging Asus router from years ago, and decided to splurge a bit and get a WiFi6 router. Difference is night and day, I get wired quality speeds on every device, wired or not. Signal on both bands is excellent, and Asus continues to have a very easy to use BIOS. It's a tad expensive, but the gains are worth it, especially if you do high bandwith stuff like gaming.

This is a great router for people who want more out of their internet without having the limitations of a company provided router/modem. It has great range with the support of a lot of devices. Setting it up was a breeze, it came with a ethernet cord that connected to modem and from there on it was just setting up the settings. The only reason why i give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes the router randomly disconnects my devices but will automatically reconnect after a couple of seconds. Overall pretty good router.

Everything works, range is awesome much better than what most say. 4000 square foot house 2 level plus basement, on 9000 square foot property I get signal everywhere. Router is on top floor and i get 3 of 4 bars in basement and 1-2 bars on farthest part of property. Thats all 5ghz band. Before had a 1200ac and that lost signal outside of house on 5Ghz. Average Wifi speeds around 600mbits and wired is 850mbps. Thats average not peak speed.

This router provides excellent signal strength, speed and coverage for my entire house. The Asus app to manage your router on a mobile phone is fantastic, easy to use but also has all the advanced user controls I would want, such as being able to lock an IP address or reroute one.

Excellent. I had an Asus router for many years with great service. It is one of the few that offers OpenVPN and used it when overseas visiting daughter to log back into my home system. Suddenly my service kept cutting out, blaming Xfinity of course. After multiple unplugging both router and cable modem several times, would work for a while, then quit, repeat process. Got fed up and went into Xfinity system and to my surprise had no problem reaching me on their side, and sent a reset signal. Problems persists. Upgraded my router from the 1900 to the 3000 and no problems since. It was an easy setup as I made notes (port forward, assignments, etc) to replicate with the new modem, however do wish there was a manual as there were some new fields that even recent YouTube didn't show the new layout. That said, loaded the new OpenVPN file in the laptop, went to Starbucks and tested it (can't test on same network). Success - had a secure tunnel from Starbucks to my home.

We purchased this router to replace our old one, which was starting to have serious issues maintaining any sort of network. We opted to spend a little more for the higher quality, better range this offered over some other options, and I will say: the quality improvement is noticeable on every device we've attached to it. Everything moves faster now, despite the fact that our base internet speed hasn't actually changed - the router is, simply put, better at routing! Took about ten minutes to get all hooked up and set up and has not given us a single problem since, though we've only had it for a few weeks. My only complaint - and the reason for four stars instead of five - the user interface is a little clunky. If the router can't do what you're asking, or if it encounters an error, it doesn't take you back to where you were - it just...sits. You have to manually refresh the page, which invariably prompts a re-login as well. It worked fine for setting up the networks and security and all of that, but some of the more administratively in-depth settings (like updating the firmware) are a struggle and it gives you zero indicator what the problem is when there is one.

Simple to set up. Love the “scan QR code to join network” for when friends or family need access. Allows the password to remain secret. App is awesome. Range is great. Perfect for our 1700sq foot ranch. Signal in the basement is great too.

The Asus AX3000 router is a great value. I'm getting consistent signal across an 1800sqft house, and even in the surrounding yard. Asus is one of, if not the only companies that actually provides access to web security, and parental controls without charging extra as well. Netgear, Linksys, and others charge monthly fees for tools and functions that come baked into this, and other Asus routers. I only have a single device that supports Wifi 6, so that wasn't a huge reason for this purchase, but one of my favorite features is the ability to see granular details about data usage on my internet connection (has a bandwidth cap), down to the individual device, and even the application/connection type, on an hourly, daily, and monthly basis. This has helped me to track data use for "rogue" devices (turns out it's just my son tearing up youtube). This device also allows you to build your own mesh wifi system by adding additional Asus routers to your existing system if need be. This router though has vastly higher output range than any one piece of a mesh system. Add one or more extra routers and you could have coverage for some truly massive homes. Highly recommended.

These routers are the best! Ditch the stock one that the internet providers give you and get this one. Love the speed, ease of use, look and distance I get. But even more, love the app management to see/control what devices are connected, status of internet and so much more.

Well, I've only had this setup for the weekend but so far it's been working great. I had an older TP-Link router which I loved but recently I started having some wireless issues and was not sure if it was the router or not so I decided to replace it. First, we tried a used google mesh router which worked very well overall but for games, we noticed our ping was slower than the TP-link so I decided to go to the store to see what they had. Best buy shelves were sparse but this unit caught my eye. It seemed to have most of the new features that could be found in many of the new routers. Bestbuy didn't have any tplink gaming models so I opted for this one. We've been using it for a solid weekend now, Everything has set up fine. I set up the Dynamic QoS for gaming and so far we are getting slightly better pings than our old Tplink router. We don't have crazy fast internet but overall I can definitely notice a difference. Shows on tv go to 4k faster and overall the router has performed without any oddities. I love the app, it's not as slick as the google wifi app from my other router but it has way more features. Overall I have zero complaints and would recommend for sure to anyone looking to save some money and buy this quality router.

Works amazing for my parents and the ASUS app is amazing and easy to use and can go into a lot of detail. You can control every aspect of this router and it works like a charm. Looks great too!

Solid router for smaller homes/apartments. This purchase was an upgrade from the ASUS Cube. My Iphone 11 (and now 12) absolutely fly on WiFi 6. We have 2 MacBooks 3 Chrome Books (kids school) and several smart devices and this little beast doesn’t even hesitate to deliver excellent speeds. ISP-Spectrum 400 Modem - Arris SB8200

I’ve used a couple of different Wifi6 routers including Netgear AX4, TP-Link AX3000 and the Netgear Nighthawk Mesh AX1800 system. The Asus AX58U is far superior to than any of them. Rock solid WiFi covers 2000 sq. ft. easily, easy setup with the Asus app or web GUI. You can stream on a number of different devices at the same time with no buffering or slowdowns. AX devices (Apple iPhone 11s and Windows 10 laptop) are screaming fast. N and AC clients run perfectly. Full ISP speeds pretty much everywhere with no dead spots. Latest firmware update from Asus from a couple of weeks ago really got everything working smoothly. If you’re looking for a new AX3000 WiFi 6 router this is easily the best of the lot. Stable, solid fast WiFi, good range without any issues, highly recommended.

I had a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 from about 10 years ago (2013 maybe). It started getting buggy and constantly having wifi connectivity issues. I wanted a router that let’s you have both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands on at the same time and separate. The router that came with my new internet service provider only had the “smart feature” that automatically chooses the best band for the device, but my devices constantly disconnected and I’d have to constantly reconnect from a new setup or restart the router multiple times a day. My old Nertgear had the same smart band switching feature, but also let you have both bands on ar the same time but separately, except my devices would constantly disconnet and I’d have to restart my router all day too. So found out the old Netgear had other users complaining on forums that the firmware over the years had essentially bricked the router or made it super buggy, like mine. So I bought this Asus router and it’s been perfect. I’m back to normal and have had zero issues, either setting up my devices or keeping connection. I have several Apple Homepods, a Google smart speaker, several smart light swithces, smart thermostat, smart garage door openers, smart TVs, laptops, desktops, and a Tesla that connects to WiFi at home. So I have about 21 total smart devices, some which need to be on 2.4Ghz like the thermostat and garage door openers and lights, while others benefit from the 5Ghz like my iphone and laptops and HomePods. So thought I’d write a good review after having read another Review where someone had the same Netgear Nighthawk R7000 with issues and had upgraded to this Asus and liked it. So here you go, for anyone else it might sway.

This is a really great router with excellent speeds and range. I tried 3 other routers and ended up keeping this one because the others did not have the range, speed or easy setup. It also has a nice form factor and size. Highly recommended!
