Good Device on the Go

I was looking for a substitute for my laptop PC when traveling on business. I began to feel the laptop PC was heavy for me to take it on the road, so the tablet had to be light-weight, but at the same time, the screen large enough to work on spreadsheets, etc. However, I travel only about once a month on average, so I did not want to spend too much money. So far I am pretty satisfied with this product, because it is much lighter than the laptop PC and adequately covers my business needs on the road. One complain I have is that on my last trip, Excel froze on me a few times when I was working on a rather simple spreadsheet. So, if you are a road-warrior, you might want to study what kind of CPU power you need. Other than that, this is a good product for the price.

Love this tablet. I went to this from a surface pro, this beats the surface pro hands down. It's faster and lighter. What I like the most is how the keyboard attaches, it's a solid connection, it cannot come off accidentally. I've noticed that I use this more than my laptop now. I also own 2 ASUS laptops, I am sold on this brand. I've had just about every brand out there and I think this is the $ for $ winner of brands.
Only negative about the tablet is the slot for SD card, the card needs to go in just a little further. As it is the edge sticks out just enough that I occasionally accidentally eject it.

I wanted a second yet cheaper 2 in 1 than the Surface we have (love it) and tried this Asus out. Although the first one never took a charge let alone turned on I decided to try another one and glad I did! One month into owning it I'm really pleased in every respect. I added a 64 gb mini SD and changed settings for it to take all downloads. It doesn't always want to be a tablet or I'd give it 5 stars.

Best Computer/Tablet for Office users

I did a lot of research before buying. More than I usually do. I have had an android tablet for four years and while I like the simplicity of the apps I have always been frustrated about not being able to use Microsoft Office. 90% of my use time is spent in the Office environment. Between work and personal computing, not having Office on my tablet made it almost unusable. Now I have everything I need with me at all times. And it is a great tablet.

So happy with my tablet. A friend of mine recommended it was better then the other tablets her and her husband bought. Its memory space allows for downloading w/o slowing down the speed.

I bought this originally for myself and gave it to my teen daughter. Being able to use it as a laptop to do school work I really like plus being able to use it as a tablet is great. It has the same programs my daughter uses in school which is another plus, because I did not have to buy more software. My daughter loves this two in one.

My Asus transformer is great for my needs. I did have to contact Asus tech support twice to clear a minor glitch. The tech support is above average, very knowledgeable and courteous. The speed of this little mite is super fast.

My wife and I bought this as an alternative to one of te more expensive well known tablets because we really didn't need a whole lot and this seemed to be a good value. Oops. Weordered it on the Best Buy website because our local store did not floor this unit and when we received it in the mail, the very first thing that we both noticed was how heavy the unit was. Even without the detachable keyboard, the thing was like holding a paving stone.
Funtionally, it seemed to work ok, buy we found that the processor seemed to lag a bit, and the touch screen seemed a little off as far a registering where your finger really was.
We ended up returning it within two weeks and bought a slightly more expensive but much easier to use Samsung.

Great computer for the price and the things that it had to offer. Bought it for my grandson and I know that this computer will help him with the things he need for school. It is very easy to use...it has camera, office, and it can be used as a tablet and a lot more. I've heard a lot of good reviews before buying this product and it did not disappoint. Thanks.

I was looking for a laptop so that my son could take it to school to do his projects for the LEGO MINDSTORM as well as project papers in MS-WORD. The laptop is great for that but it isn't able to perform strenuous tasks. Its great to check your email and online browsing.

This is a good laptop for browsing and basic word operations. Do not expect more than it is. It is not too powerful to run applications and so on. If you are looking for a laptop that you can browse the internet with, check emails and do homework with Office (excel, word, powerpoint) applications then this would be great. But for the price you are better off getting an i5 laptop with better performance and memory. I would consider these laptops obsolete.

Great 2-in-1 piece for work and movies

This is a real steal for anyone looking for a highly mobile, durable and sleek machine for school, work and even entertainment.
Package: MS Office 2013 Home and Student
Battery: (Testing condition: standby mode off, screen brightness level 4 from 0, fully charged overnight, unplugged at 7am, every 2 weeks)
Test 3 times with the same result: Daily use (Word, Email, Facebook, Youtube...) 11 hours ( with 5% remaining). Watching Youtube videos and playing movies using WPM in HD: 8 hours (with 4% remaining)
Storage: Mirco SD card up to 64Gb (I'm using a Sony one and it works just fine)
Connection: Wi-fi connection is perfect, micro HDMI port allows me to connect to a larger screen for my convenience, 1 USB 3.0 port.
Charging: The original charge works just fine, the cable is fairly short (that I guess is to reduce charging time). If you need a spare charger, get the Rocketfish Kindle Wall charger (the cylinder one). I've been using it for 2 months and it works perfectly with this.
Recommendation:
1) Charge it for at least 8 hours before first use ( I left it charged the whole day before I got home)
2) Switch to manual updates to avoid crashes
3) Turn off standby mode to avoid crashes when updating
4) Check for updates as regularly as possible ( I did it every 1 hour when I first got it. With that rate, most of the updates were done within 2 weeks. Occasionally there's another update, but not very often.)
5) At first, it may be annoyingly slow, especially if you watch Youtube videos. Yet, after the 2 weeks of updates, it got VERY MUCH better.
6) I recommend buying a USB 3.0 Hub and a Micro USB adapter so that you have more access.
7) It takes a decent amount of time to fully charge, thus I recommend either charge it overnight or when it drops to 20%, plug it in (it reaches 70% in 3 hours when I use the Rocketfish Kindle charger and the original cable)
So far, I'm very happy with this product.

I started out with an Acer model and had some battterty issues. When I went to exchange it, all three other Acers were also broken, so the Microsoft store switched me to this model and I love it!
It is small, great battery life, good screen, enough memory, has all I need for work and personal.
Especially for the price of these all in one tablet/laptops, you can't go wrong!
I got the extended warranty just in case.

Asus Trans. Pad

I received the first pad and it was used. They sent out another and it was used. I finally gave up and charged the original one and found it was not as advertised. 64g means you get 37g. The operating system should not take up 27g of space. Totally dissatisfied with this purchase.

Asus support is awful

Got an asus tablet with a keyboard last March. Mouse and keyboard stopped working. Sent it back, there was a glitch in system and the tablet was lost. Multiple phone calls, kept on hold for 30 minutes, promised call back didn't occur. Tablet was found but we are still waiting for it to be fixed. Beware.
