Customers regard the TUF DASH 15.6" Gaming Laptop favorably for its performance, SSD speed, and battery life, frequently praising its build quality and value for the price. However, some users noted that the fan can be loud and the device may overheat during intensive use, while the lack of a webcam was also a common complaint. The relatively small storage capacity was another point of concern for some customers.

Great entry-level RTX 3060 laptop

This is a very impressive machine for the price. Battery lasts a long while as long as you aren't hammering it (or gaming with the dGPU, and iGPU can do a lot before needing the help of the RTX 3060 inside). The screen is a bit dim, and the touchpad drags a big because of the plastic surface (glass is much smoother).
I've also noticed that occasionally, the touchpad will suddenly have a lot of latency (it feels like a quarter or a third of a second delay between your finger movements and the mouse movement on screen), but a reboot fixes this. Maybe there are just driver issues that will be resolved in the future, but I have all the latest drivers at the time of writing.
About the CPU: it can get hot if you start doing some demanding stuff, but given the budget pricing, I don't think many people are purchasing this to do intense video editing - it is more suitable for casual use + light to medium gaming or retro emulation (Intel Xe Graphics are great for this on the go).
One thing to note is that Armory Crate doesn't let you do much tuning to the Intel CPU as it does with the new Ryzen G14/G15 models, where you can lower their power levels when you are just web browsing/watching videos. That feature helps a lot with heat generation and subsequently fan noise, so this one runs a little louder (burst fan noise) even though it is an a 15" body. However, you can use Throttlestop to eliminate CPU boost, which helps, but at 4 cores, this CPU sort of needs the extra boost from time to time, whereas the aforementioned Ryzen models can pretty much do everything casual without it and still remain quiet.
Again, I think it's a great value, but I will be returning it to put the money into a slightly more premium package.

Good but not great
Good - Packs a lot of power in a small package, above-average 144hz screen for gaming, price is actually reasonable given today's market and what you can get for the $1,099 price
Not so great - undervolted 3060 gpu means you'd arguably be able to get better graphics performance for less, runs hot (but they all run hot).
Overall happy with the purchase and short of spending $2k, this is a great buy

This laptop is overall a pretty good piece of gaming hardware. The cooling on this laptop is good, but the fans do get loud. I really only saw the fans getting loud on demanding games like Arma 3 and occasionally on Call Of Duty: Warzone.
For average FPS I saw an average of 70 to 80 frames on most games, in particular, Warzone and Call Of Duty: World At War. Warzone is really demanding, but the FPS being like this on World At War was kinda strange, but it may be that since this game is so old and outdated that it may have an actual FPS cap.
For lowest FPS, out of all games I tested, Arma 3 was the lowest. Average FPS is around 40 to 50 frames with high points around 70 FPS. This is particularly because this game is poorly optimized.
Pros: Cooling, Refresh rate, Display Colors, Keyboard Backlight, and Performance.
Cons: Storage, CPU. The CPU is found to be bottlenecking. This isn’t because of any heating issue, the Intel Core I7 11th gen only has 4 cores and 8 threads. That being said, you can still expect FPS above 60 but don’t expect and insane high amount as you would see in other devices. The FPS should be higher due to it being advertised as an i7 11th gen, but intel went really wrong on this cpu.
Overall this laptop is a great starting point for people looking into getting into the PC gaming landscape. This device handle all games really well and I highly recommend this for anyone who wants at least 60 fps or higher. The SSD is OK at most. Since it is 512 GB, don’t expect to be able to fit many games onto it. They should have spent a little extra and put in the 1TB, but it is what it is. If you are looking into this laptop, you might want to look into an external hard drive, or if you know an thing or two about taking apart laptops, you could always buy another ssd (that being said, make sure what type of ssd it takes before buying one).

I'm a college student who needs a laptop that is portable and runs cad and coding languages. So far it's been a huge improvement compared to my last laptop and I'm very impressed. In terms of gaming, I'm not that picky on specs or how well things run as long as it doesn't lag. All my games have been running smoothly minus Monster Hunter World (on medium settings). My voice with an earbud mic also seem to be worse compared to my previous laptop, so hopefully there isn't an issue with the headphone/mic jack. But the laptop mic itself seems to be pretty good so I've been using that.
I know people have commented on the fan volume. And yes it is quite loud. There are three options:silent, performance, and turbo, and so far I've left it on silent as it is a lot quieter compared to performance and turbo. One of my complaints is that since there are vents on the sides, all the input ports are pushed forward. So if you don't have much space on your desk, things/wires might get in the way of your mouse mobility.

Overall, this laptop is great. It performs really well, the screen resolution is very smooth, its actually pretty light, and its aesthetically very nice. Only couple down sides I’ve noticed is that it warms up really quick and the fan kicks in full speed and it then starts to lag a little. Then the battery drains really fast when gaming but thats most laptops. So I figured I would just have it plugged in to game and I bought a good cooling pad for it and it solves that problem. Would 100% recommend though. Specially for the price.

This laptop is VERY nice. Everything about this laptop is great; the screen, the keyboard, the build/material, the audio, the performance, etc. It’s perfect for a budget gamer (less than $1,000 after taxes) The negative reviews are just unlucky or picky people. I highly recommend the rtx 3060 variant. Make sure you run Windows Update until you have a green check mark. Unfortunately, I have to say… it’s going to take over an hour of your time to remove and disable the ASUS bloatware, which you should definitely do if you don’t want bad performance (fps/graphics) Do some googling of each service before you delete or disable in Task Scheduler. To anyone who is considering this laptop and are having second thoughts because of the 1 star reviews; make the purchase. Trust me. The F15 is amazing and is well worth the price. Buy at $899 when it’s on sale. You may want to add 1TB of storage if you’re a gamer. So far, I’ve ran most popular games with no problems at all. Anyways, highly recommend, you’ll love it!

I love this laptop. It gives me everything I was looking for in a gaming laptop (110 fps in BOCW with ray tracing turned off) and has plenty for productivity (have not used for graphic design or video editing). It competes very easily with my 9700k i7 w/ 2060 super pc build. Runs relatively loud with gaming but you'll want headphones anyway. No webcam but that was not a deal-breaker for me and the built-in microphone works well. Enjoy this great deal.

I bought it a year ago, and my computer is quite successful, and since I work mostly on design, I can get results efficiently, even though the renderings I take would put a lot of strain on a normal computer. This allows me to do my work with more pleasure. Ram power and of course M2 SSD also increase the graphics card efficiency. Overall, Thanks Asus. :)

Gaming laptop gets the job done but when running Outriders, it would throttle and fan gets a bit loud. Runs hot as well when playing high end games.
Other than that, it a nice price point for gaming laptop.
