Customers regard the TUF DASH 15.6" Gaming Laptop favorably for its performance, SSD speed, and battery life, frequently praising its build quality and value for the price. However, some users noted that the fan can be loud and the device may overheat during intensive use, while the lack of a webcam was also a common complaint. The relatively small storage capacity was another point of concern for some customers.

It is my first purchase of gaming laptop my husband and I loves it! It was really fast and quality is really good. We are satisfied with it’s battery life. It gets hot really fast since we didn’t have the cooling fan but we purchase from bestbuy too hoping to get it next week and try if that will work better. Overall, We love it!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS LAPTOP. It has fulfilled my needs and more. I worked from home during some portions of the pandemic and rediscovered my love of gaming thanks to this little beast. It is powerful enough to game in 4k for certain titles and can run mostly ANYTHING at 1080p ! Don’t hesitate, buy it!

I bought this laptop as a gaming PC to play PC VR games using Oculus Link and Quest 2. The laptop has the newest generation I7 CPU and Geforce 3060 card so I thought that would be best. While it might be faster than the last generation, unfortunately the PC Oculus Link app does not yet support Geforce RTX 3000 series so all I got in VR was a lot of jitter and stutter. Hopefully once Oculus supports it and drivers are updated it will work fine. Doesn't mean it's a bad laptop. It's the newest technology for a great price. But maybe still too new if you expect everything to work right away.

Very good purchase, quick on and off, responds incredible to the internet and complies with more than expected, but I had to return it because the keyboard is for gamers and it was uncomfortable for me, but I do recommend it.

I bought this solely for gaming and I was pleasantly surprised. It ran gaming very smooth at maximum graphics settings. However, be sure you have a good cooling pad because this laptop gets VERY VERY HOT as soon as you start gaming. If you don't mind the scalding hot temperatures and the loud fans, then this laptop is okay for the price point. I'm okay with it because I bought this as a second laptop exclusively for just gaming.

I have always been a big proponent of desktop gaming, but the portability of a gaming laptop has always been alluring. To which this laptop has been perfect for me to dip my feet into the laptop gaming space and I would definitely recommend it to those in similar situations. Firstly, as being a PC gamer, aesthetics are naturally important to which this laptop doesn`t disappoint. Upon first taking it out of the box I was surprised with how lightweight it was for a gaming PC, but at the same time, it did not feel like Asus went cheap on quality either. Looks are obviously preferential, but I love the simple look and it doesn`t have all the flashy RGB and in-your-face highlights that other gaming PCs have so that when used in public it doesn`t come across as obnoxious. I also appreciate the variety of ports on this machine as it has nearly everything you could need down to the almighty USB-C port. Upon opening the laptop I once again enjoyed the minimalistic look. the one button that did throw me at first was the "Armoury Crate" button that is unique to Asus. This actually ended up being more convenient than I thought as it allows you to instantly access performance configurations and various system settings on the fly. The backlit keys are a nice touch and the clear key caps on the WASD keys were also very convenient when it came to playing. I did like the travel of keys as they definitely had a good responsiveness. One con here was a lack of a number pad, but with it being a laptop and at this price point it is one of those things that can be accepted. Upon powering up the laptop though setup went fairly smooth without any hiccups and with the laptop having an ethernet port I was able to get a few games downloaded extremely quickly since it actually has wifi 6. My experience actually playing games was right on par with what I expected as I was getting well above 60 fps. I did use the highest output settings within the "Armoury Crate" and I will say that the fans do get loud, but if it means getting better performance it is one of those things I can accept. I did however like the Silent and even Windows settings which drastically reduced the fan noise. One other aspect I liked about the Armoury Crate was the ease of toggling the different game visuals and profiles based on the game I was playing whether it be an online fps game or story mode game where I was more concerned about visuals. The SSD is also another major plus in order to get right into games which at this price point I definitely can`t complain about. One thing to note is that with how large games are today the storage does seem to be on the smaller side, but the additional NVME slot, which actually is easily accessible for once, does solve that issue though at an additional cost. The screen was what I expected as with it being 144z it isn`t going to be amazing and does get the job done when it comes to performance gaming, but once again there does have to be some tradeoffs at this point so it is understandable. The other slight drawback were the speakers, but in most gaming situations I am using headphones anyways plus when it comes to laptop speakers I don`t think we will ever get something in the realm that can be considered "good." Overall though this laptop has a variety of pros that start with the cosmetics and great keyboard to the availability of a variety of ports that lead into the actual performance and very user-friendly Armoury Crate feature. Being more of a budget laptop there are some cons that include the subpar speakers, storage on the smaller side, and a screen that is satisfactory for gaming, but if you are looking to do any editing or vibrant and intensive movie watching it isn`t going to outdo a high-end monitor. For the price though, in my opinion, the pros far outweigh the cons and I would definitely recommend this gaming laptop to those not wanting to spend an arm and a leg.

Pros: Great battery life in silent mode and rtx 3060 disabled Fastest single threaded performance you can get Can install a second m2 drive Cons: Hot running QLC drive that will throttle due to temps when making large file transfers Have to put the fire department on speed dial when using performance or turbo mode Loud fans in anything but silent mode Flimsy plastic chassis The screen has awful colors

A high quality laptop, excellent for school, work and fun to the maximum, it runs Minecraft RTX at 50 fps much more than I expected, a beautiful, elegant design, edges without corners, the keyboard stays in one color, no I know if there is a problem with that, but I am not complaining, I recommend buying a cooler pad to keep the laptop cool because you have to be careful with the temperature, the battery last 12 hours maximum and 2 hours playing GTA.

This is a spectacular laptop through and through. It has awesome specs that are on point with a budget level gaming rig. The trackpad is smooth and the keyboard feels great on my fingers. I have run several games already and had 0 issues so far. My only issues with it are... Poor speakers Can get loud with cooling The ASUS energy saver kicks on A LOT and goes back and forth with silent mode, power mode, etc. That can be frustrating and I'll be turning it off. Relatively small SSD but it has an M.2 slot that I have already put a 1tb in. The RAM is difficult to upgrade since one stick is soldered in so you can only upgrade to a weird max.

I got this for my brother's birthday and was very impressed with it. He can play any game he likes on high/ultra settings (Skyrim, ESO, Witcher) and they flow just beautifully with no tearing or stuttering. We are both very happy with its performance and quality. As with all gaming laptops, make sure you get a really good cooling pad, this one in particular got very loud without one.

I purchased a geek squad certified laptop open-box laptop and everything was great. I noticed there were some other reviews that had mentioned problems with theirs but mine didn't have any. It has been great so far. I ran some benchmark tests with the CPU and GPU and it does great. I love the long battery life, light design and portability. It has been a huge upgrade over my old 1060 laptop. I use my computer mostly for solidworks, programming, and school.

It’s a great gaming laptop for the price. Had about 2 months now and not a hiccup yet. Handles every game I’ve thrown at it so far really well. Most on highest settings. When playing games the gpu does heat up quit a bit and when on performance or turbo mode, sounds like a jet taking off. Don’t even try to play games on battery power. You might be lucky to get 2 hours out of the battery durning game play. When the gpu is off you can get up to 8 hours of work done with the battery alone. It’s a perfect work hard, play hard laptop.

Great performance in such a tiny case. If you are in the market for a gaming PC on the $1000, I think this is a great option. Connecting it to a 4k TV screen, if you want to game at full resolution on you may need to lower down the game specs a little bit, but you may be able to get 30fps without any issues on most games. At native resolution the gaming experience is quite enjoyable. Take in consideration that the RTX30 series is quite a power drainer in case you are considering to play games without plugging your power supply.

The laptop is good but the speaker on the laptop could have been better. Also the laptop heats up even if you are using to complete the basics tasks. Another thing this laptop should have the webcamera built in because lot of people are working from home and they need it for video conferencing. Also this laptop keyboard does not have the options to change the colors.
