Customers are saying

Customers regard the TUF DASH 15.6" Gaming Laptop favorably for its performance, SSD speed, and battery life, frequently praising its build quality and value for the price. However, some users noted that the fan can be loud and the device may overheat during intensive use, while the lack of a webcam was also a common complaint. The relatively small storage capacity was another point of concern for some customers.

Great laptop! I honestly can not figure out why this thing is so inexpensive (I know, 4 cores). It honestly this has more than enough juice for what I need it for. I had to buy a work laptop unexpectedly and I really didn’t want to spend over $1,500 but it seemed like you had to in order to get a decent gaming laptop that was bigger than 14”. Great price, zero issues, killer looks!! Don’t hesitate

I loved it. An amazing laptop for game players and hard work for school or work. The thing I mostly like is how fast it is.

Love this machine! It might not be as flashy as some of the gaming laptops out there, but it really does the job great. I like the durability of the TUF product line and you can feel its toughness when you use the laptop. It has great speed and boots fantastically fast from the SSD. I really like the upgradeability that you can do on your own. Overall this is a great gaming laptop.

For gaming the computer is good. I ran resident evil 8 on a mix of high/med with raytracing on and got a mix of 40-100+ fps depending on the level load. However, while that game was running, my CPU was already at 65%. If you are wanting to record gameplay, do video editing, music. This night not be the best option.

Got this for my bday, performs well with games at high settings. But fan gets too loud in performance mode, dont mention the boost mode, its crazy loud. Oh, the top portion of the keyboard gets really hot. Its a breeze using this with apps like lightroom and photoshop. The thunderbolt is a big bonus too!

I was a bit surprised the CPU is only 4C/8T variant. I should’ve done my research, but I didn’t think Intel was still making 4C/8T and calling them i7s I was also quite surprised there was no integrated web cam, which is a little absurd for a laptop that costs over a grand. The 3060 in here is a great performer but quite hamstrung by the CPU The audio jack seemed good, it was able to drive my high impedance headphones better than most integrated audio solutions. Ultimately I ended up returning this for something that had an 8c/16t i7 and a webcam.

I have used this laptop now for 2 weeks. I must say it is very fast and everything I need for video and all my photo editing. I would have given it 5 stars, but since it was a gaming computer the resolution is only 1920/1080. I did not notice until I took it home, it is very poor for visual editing. The battery life is not very good, and the pad's clicking is something I do not like. My other issue it has no camera – you would think it should be standard in this day and age. I really love this computer except for the minor flaws!! If you are looking for a workhorse this will be the one, there are no frills or wow factors just a solid computer.

Works very well, however the Keyboard’s build quality could be better, some of the keys get stuck, not from outside materials but just from regular use. Battery Life isn’t the greatest even on battery saver.

This laptop is pretty good for the price. It's one of the cheaper 3060 options, especially with 16 GB of ram and 512 GB nvme and a 144hz adaptive sync panel. I don't think you'll find a better price at those specs currently (excepting of course potential black friday deals or something). But that doesn't come without some faults. I'm going to talk about the things I dislike about the laptop. The battery life is of course the very first of those things. Don't get me wrong, I would not expect stellar battery life from a gaming laptop, but I do feel like it should be able to get better than it does. Especially when not gaming. It has an integrated intel iris igpu that it switches to when you aren't doing anything in a game. With the 3060 essentially powered off there is no reason a modern day laptop should not be able to achieve at minimum 10 hours just browsing the web and watching youtube. However, even with something like that this laptop achieves a paultry 5 - 6 hours. While gaming, you are going to be lucky to get 2, that number though I expect to be that low without having a behemoth of a laptop with giant battiers that make it illegal for air travel lol. Moving on, the keyboard on this laptop could be better. It's "fine". But the keys feel a little mushy. Not the satisfying activation you get from most modern laptops with chiclet style keyboards. I don't really care about the backlighting, but it's also worth noting for those that do care that it does not have RGB backlighting. Only a single green color. I find that really surprising. The trackpad is also just fine. It's a little smaller than I'd like for it to be, and for whatever reason is missing a lot of the standard gesture support. There is no gesture you can do on it that I can find to go back on a web page for example. Most laptops support either a double finger back swipe motion, or triple finger back swipe to go back on a webpage. Cooling of the laptop is descent. Even while playing intense games both the CPU and GPU stay relatively cool for a laptop. However, I do really really hate the side exhaust vents. If you use a mount (and I'm going to assume you do if you are gaming on this thing) your hand is going to get blasted with hot air coming out of the side of the laptop. They really should have made it so that all of that hot air gets pushed out the back of the laptop instead of the sides... Lastly, the outside finish. While this laptop is built really well and sturdy, the outside finish annoys me a bit. It looks nice... but keeping it clean is next to impossible. It's a very smooth finish that is a finger / hand print magnet. I really wish they would have went with a matte or some kind of textured finish to hide these. I can't put the laptop in and out of my carrying bag without getting imprints of my entire fingers where I grabbed the laptop at to slide it out. This finish is on the top (back of the display) of the laptop, as well as the area around the keyboard where you'd rest your palms while typing. All of that said, I do still think this is a great choice if you are in the market for an affordable gaming laptop. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking to spend less than $1200 on a laptop.

Good for what I needed it to do, easy to add in additional nvme card but if you truly want to game and have something that will last, I advise just saving some extra money for a bigger expenditure.
