I've had this laptop about a month now and I am pleased as can be. Don't let Youtube reviews fool you, the 4 core i7 processor can handle modern gaming and doesn't bottleneck the RTX 3070 GPU. I play many games, Battlefield V and Far Cry 5 being among them. I use ultra presets and receive 60-80 FPS between the two titles and even higher FPS when using dGPU mode to play on an external monitor (more on that later!) My temps don't reach over 80 degrees celcius and I don't see CPU utilization over 80% (BFV being the most demanding) while GPU utilization sits between 55% and 98% depending on what title I'm playing. GPU power consumption while plugged in is a constant 80 watts. Back to dGPU mode. After setting up your laptop, you can reboot while holding down F2 to enter BIOS and then press F7 to enter the advanced options menu. Under this menu you should see an option for HDMI settings. Selecting dGPU mode allows you bypass Nvidia Optimus while using an external screen (external keyboard needed) and greatly boost your FPS. I saw an increase in BFV of about 45FPS with Ultra Presets along. Thats about 115-120 FPS on this 85w GPU. All in all this a great buy, my only complaint is battery life. I think I average around 2 1/2 hours fully charged with battery saver mode enabled, but it isn't a big deal seeing as how I have it plugged in 90% of the time. If you decide to follow suit make sure to go into the MyAsus settings and change your battery charging settings to 60% to increase battery longevity.

Great laptop, but does not work for steam VR (index). There is not mini display port, nor a thunderbolt that draws enough power. Ultimately returned because it didn't support VR. Other then VR the laptop is a beast and would have wanted this over my alienware.

I've had this laptop for almost a year now and have loved every second of using it. It runs fast and gets the job done; I have played a few games on it and they run smooth and great. I recently have begun getting into software engineering as well and it holds up really well while I do so. I always keep it plugged in and use the option to never have the battery fully charged so that the battery doesn't get ruined if I ever decided to take it off the charger. It doesn't have a webcam which can be seen as a con if you need to use zoom or anything, but there are many good external webcam options online that are not too expensive.

It's a super fast machine! Runs slightly warm but not enough that elevating it won't solve the problem. Raise it slightly and you're good. Very happy with it thus far.

Purchased for my son for Christmas. Came in perfect condition via shipping. He loves it! It’s very cool and sleek looking, and has all the power it needs in all the right places. He will be using it for gaming, which requires a lot of gpu power, and it def has it.

I recently got the ASUS TUF Dash 15.6" Laptop, and it's been amazing so far. The Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and RTX 3070 make gaming and multitasking super smooth. The 1TB SSD is plenty of storage and loads everything quickly. The display is sharp and vibrant, and the design is sleek yet sturdy. I love the backlit keyboard, and the cooling system keeps it from overheating even during intense gaming sessions. Battery life is decent for a gaming laptop, and the connectivity options are great. Overall, it’s a fantastic value for its performance!

    Faulty CPUs

This was going to be the laptop I used for my college classes and worked for the full year under warranty. I had rarely used it to play forza horizon 5 a few times and applied for colleges and scholarships on it. The year long warranty expired and a few months later I began to have issues with it. The screen would flicker from on to dark and the device manager was saying it was disconnected. I contacted asus support and there was no help to be found from them so I took it to a local computer shop. After some skepticism with their diagnostic I finally agreed to let them order a new screen for the computer. A few weeks later I came back in to check on it and the computer had stopped powering on, even if the laptop was plugged in. Turns out there is a big issue with the CPU of the computer right outside of the warranty. So I'm out $1500 and have to buy a new computer for college. I will never buy a TUF again
