My one caveat is the 3050 only has 4 gigs of Vram, which is only enough for “medium” settings on newer games like halo infinite. However, any game older than 2020 can run on ultra settings no problem. Also, it’s to be expected, but battery life is definitely nothing special. About an hour gaming, or up to 4 hours using word while listening to YouTube. Overall, I am very satisfied.

So..... I love the touch of the keyboard. I also like how solid it feels. So many laptops feel flimsy. It's not that I'm rough on them, but I don't want to feel like I am working with a piece of fine porcelain.

Great mid-level gaming

After we setup and updated the laptop it was good to go. Download Fortnite and then we were playing. Speed is very good for a mid-level computer. Even after several hours of nonstop playing it wasn't overheating. I have checked in with him several times and it still is staying cool. He downloaded some other games and said that "it is really great for gaming." If you are a very serious gamer than you wouldn't go with this laptop as you would definitely need more RAM, a better graphics card and faster processing. But for your beginning to mid-level gamer it is an excellent and affordable option. I suggest adding more RAM.

great starter gaming laptop

The aesthetics is cool. Keep the laptop at silent mode is fine to do all daily tasks, watch video. When playing games or do gpu intensive computations, the fan noise is loud as we can expect. The only thing I wish is the arrow keys can be made bigger.
