Reliable and budget-friendly laptop designed for everyday tasks. It delivers smooth performance for browsing, office work, streaming, and light multitasking, thanks to its efficient Intel Core processor. The 14-inch Full HD display is sharp and compact, making it a good option for users who need portability without sacrificing screen quality. The 256GB SSD ensures fast boot times and responsive performance, although storage may feel limited for heavier users. Its lightweight design and modern look make it easy to carry around, ideal for students or professionals on the go. The keyboard is comfortable for daily typing, and overall build quality feels solid for the price range. While 8GB of RAM is enough for basic use, it may be a limitation for more demanding multitasking. This laptop is not intended for gaming or heavy creative workloads, but it handles everyday needs very well. Overall, it’s a great entry-level laptop that offers good performance, portability, and value for money.

The buy process was easy. The shipping was phenomenally fast (next day). The laptop itself is very nice especially for the price. The reason for the 4 stars vs 5 stars was the operating system (windows) -- it seems in this new rendition the OS takes umbrage when you do not want to establish or log into a microsoft account. I got locked out of the drive when I decided to swap to Linux OS. i keep getting reminded why I don't do windows.

I'm so happy with this new laptop. They only problem is the mouse pad sometimes the numbers come out on screen while typing. I probably have to get use to the sensitivity. Otherwise, I'm very happy. Thanks.

Asus put out a very nice unit, compact. I find the screen very readable, clear, even though reducing from a 15.5 former screen. I am 75 yrs old, marginal techie, and info transfer from my old Lenovo was easy. My lite duty useage finding the memory and storage adequate. My wife has an identical Asus with more memory, loves it.

It’s good laptop for what I need I didn’t read the description carefully that there is a number pad built into the trackpad and that is very annoying

I purchased this for the quality of the core 5 120u processor at a good sale price. Initial start up was relatively straight forward. Picture clear. Track pad responsive, Internet connection fast, all my peripheral devices functioned (dvd drive, flash drive, SD card reader, extra monitor, Logitech keyboard & mouse. ) However, the installed printer drivers did not work for my mfc printer (they were dated 2006 for a 2018 printer) and would only print on one side. I was also unable to install TurboTax in the windows 11 home safe mode as this software is not available in the Microsoft store. I switched out of safe mode, loaded my original printer drivers and installed TurboTax 2024. So far everything is now working. Still contemplating word processing and spreadsheet software. C:/drive shows MS office 365. I believe I may need to uninstall office 365 to be able to load MS Office 2024. Will see if Asus can advise. Overall happy that Asus does not have a lot of bloatware on this computer.

ASUS Vivobook is light and easy to carry around with light use cases, such as writing and office work. 256 GB SSD may be little bit small so don't expect to make this your "major" PC.

This review is from ASUS - Vivobook 14 14" FHD Laptop - Intel Core 5 120U with 8GB Memory - 256GB SSD - Quiet Blue

This was a Christmas present for my granddaughter. My son, her father, helped her to initiate it. There was some trouble getting a Microsoft ID because she is only 11 years old. Nevertheless, I trust that this will be an excellent basic laptop for her.

Nice computer but lacks a backlit keyboard and touchscreen screen. Price was good for the specs. Recommend if you don’t mind the high end features that other computers offer.
