This tablet is a good size, easy to carry and use anywhere. It runs windows, which I am familiar with. I can download all the programs I need and also books. I am happy with this product.

I'm a gamer and this tablet is very impressive! I've played and been able to run smoothly most games I play. This tablet has no issues playing; TF2(full res, low models, med textures @ 30+ fps), Minecraft (6 chunks, fast graphics, full screen res, 30 fps cap which gives a constant 30fps. If you don't cap it fluctuates greatly between 20 and 48 fps) Fallout New Vegas(Low res, high texture, 35 fps outdoor 65 indoor) CS:GO (Low res&models, and med textures 28 fps), Hearth stone (high settings ~45 fps), CS:Source (highest all settings 60+ fps), and even Skyrim (Low res&models, med tex, low environment draw, ~32 fps). I bought this to not have to lug around my laptop for light gaming, and it has outdone my original thoughts. I now play it frequently while relaxing in bed using a ps4 controller. It also does great for normal tablet use. The resolution is great for this size with a pixel density of 189 ppi (higher than most 4k sets and the iPad mini). It's very fast and snappy for all tasks I've done which includes heavy multitasking and online classes. The on screen keyboard works well and I have no problems with it, but with Bluetooth support and OTG cable support you can use a traditional keyboard. The build is nice and feels very high quality. And a large improvement over the "Note 8" is the cpu stability. This version although lacking the digitizer makes up by being able to withstand higher temperatures. The note 8 and Dell Venue 8 pro take up to 73 Celsius, where this can withstand up to 107 C. While using a monitor program the highest I've seen while playing skyrim (overall most taxing of programs) I saw a cap of 79C. So if you plan on gaming, I recommend this highly over the other major tablets. The cameras get the job done for Skype but don't look forward to snapping pictures or filming with them. Also note that the headphone jack is an out put and input. I used a skullcandy gaming headset and it functioned perfectly. There's nothing I can complain about honestly. Battery life is around 4.5 hours while gaming which is more than my laptop, and should be around 8 with normal browsing and basic programs. It also functions fine while being plugged into a power source with very little heat addition (+ ~5°C).

It was great until I turned it off

I have always loved Asus. I've had two laptops from them and they are both awesome. However, this tablet was a let down. Getting it setup and started was easy. I'm accustomed to windows 8.1 so that wasn't a problem. I downloaded my kindle books and a few apps with ease. Life was good. About 36 hours after buying it, I tried to watch some Netflix (I had watched it the day prior without any problem). To my dismay, the tablet had difficulty opening the app. It was stuck in the Netflix load screen. I force closed the app and opened it again. No luck. As a last resort, I figured a simple restart/reboot would solve the problem; however, as soon as I had turned it off the tablet refused to turn on again. I tried charging it for over an hour and the screen's backlight wouldn't even come on, let alone the screen itself. Thankfully, Best Buy refunded my money. TL;DR: The tablet has a permanent shut down feature.
