This serves its purpose; as I needed something to quickly get a store up & running. However, in the future I would probably look for some different options. It's good with an amp, but even in a small office setting it didn't quite perform the way I expected.

We still have not installed this. It's harder to install than we were led to expect. It was highly recommended and we are still hopeful it will be as good as we were led tp expect. Sure hope we can figure out how to install and set it up!

Price was good not great but was disappointed with the hook up and install. This was sold as a plug and play not a plug and work at it , work at it and than play and work at it a little more project maybe wrong brand wrong time.

Router would constantly say no internet access and kick you off the internet. Completely reset the router and the internet has improved drastically. However, would not recommend this product.

While it works as expected, I opened a case with tech support regarding a setting that doesn't stay set. They were completely useless in the process and showed no empathy for my issue.

I have not really notice much difference.when viewing movies on my media player.it just added 2 more wifi ports. thanks

given as a gift, I didn't use it. He had to return it because it didn't work with his system.

Does not recognize being hooked up to modem or computer Try to use on line software and it wants me to sign on to a nonexistent account with MFG. Used username, password instructions supply and receive response that it is incorrect Ready to return product.

I am not sure if it's it is powerful enough. I may have to go to a stronger one.

I purchased this router thinking that since I just upgraded to 100 mb internet service, that I'd be able to stream movies faster and operate multiple devices on the wifi simultaneously. Well, I never got to do that. the firmware that comes on this is so old that I wasn't able to install it. I'm not a computer guy by any stretch of the term, however I've set up routers before. There are even blogs out there about how the installation of this particular router in horrible. I spent the entire weekend trying to get the firmware loaded on my computer to no avail. I'm definitely going to stick with Linksys from now. I shouldn't have strayed away in the first place. Serves me right...

Works great, but this model has a known security risk that Netgear is working on fixing. Don't buy until patch has been resolved.

I had an issue with trying to password protect my router, so I called Asus tech support. Big mistake! After three people and two hours later, they said there was nothing they could do for me. I asked to talk to someone in the U.S., didn't happen. I ended up returning it and got a net gear router instead.

had this for 2 months,.. took verizon a month to come hook up the internet, used it for a month and it worked then it just died!! totally wasted my money

Got set up rather quickly. All of the setup menus are rather good. Setting up network names and port forwards were real easy. Very surprised at the signal strength. I replaced an older router in my basement for which I have a repeater plugged in on my 1st floor. I was surprised when I saw the 5GHz signal strength from my second floor equal to my repeater on the 1st (I no longer need the repeater). Speed is excellent... There is one major issue for me and that is the USB connections on it are USB 2.0 instead of 3.0. Anyone who is doing any media sharing of a network drive is going to want a USB 3.0 hard drive connected since they are way faster than gigabit ethernet. I'm returning this back to the store tomorrow for the AC1900 model which does have USB 3.0. If you don't need it stick with this router.

We don't use this router for getting on the web, but for connecting to our music gear wirelessly. Because of this, I cannot speak on connection speeds, but I can speak on the range and ease of use. This router was easy to setup without any issues. For the most part it was ready to go (if you were wanting to use it as a home router to get on the internet). The range was been good to. We have not had any issues losing signal or with the signal getting interrupted. There are usually 300 people in the room at a time with at least one wireless device. Since we don't get interference in our situation, I would assume that it would be a good router for crowded apartment complexes.

I had trouble with other routers trying to connect to the internet during initial setup, after countless hours of messing with the Nigthhawk, I went and bought this ASUS and I was instantly connected to the internet! It took less than 3 minutes to get everything setup and connected, that included a firmware update! Super fast and awesome signal, you can not beat the price on such an great wireless router!

I've been using this Asus router since 2016 and never had a single problem with it, not a single reset or anything!!!
