Bought this laptop for 91 year old with difficulty hearing and seeing. She loves it. I got her a mouse because her hands have trouble with the pad. She primarily watches dvds, looks online and Skype. I didn't need to get external speakers. We've had it about 3 weeks and she is very happy with it. It is a lot heavier than I expected so if you are going to be carrying it a lot you may want to pick one up in the store and see if it is something you want to be carrying around. Needs a larger bag too. Very nice laptop and worth the money.

A bit slower than my other older Asus, but I think windows 10 is the culprit.

Our organization awards laptop computers, Microsoft office software, and backpacks to high school graduates who are going to attend college and major in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program. Each year I am tasked with identifying a laptop for the awardees that meets the computing demands of these programs. Based on my research, I selected this computer, which I feel is a great computer at an excellent price.

Great PC. Easy to set up. Responsive. Great monitor image quality.

My wife uses it and is quite happy with it. I would much prefer it to the one with 1000 GB Hard Drive.

This laptop has everything I need at a very competitive price. Easy to navigate. One issue I had was the hard drive was already partitioned with a limited space for applications/programs. It was easy to fix with a utility available for free on line.

slower than my old computer. very annoying having to wait for the second page to open when reading a long article. keyboard is fine

I purchased this computer for my son who is in 8th grade. After a few initial glitches that the awesome Geek Squad team took care of this computer has been great! My son is able to do all his schoolwork and surf the web along with watching movies. Great buy!

We wanted a budget laptop with no frills. We assumed this one would fit the bill. Right out of the box, it would not connect to,our internet. We have work Windows laptops, iPhones, iPads, and an iMac connected to our wireless, so we know it works. We called the geek squad and they finally got it connected when I powered down the router and brought it back up again. The geek squad representative said he answers calls all day long with Windows 10 pc's not able to connect to wifi. The laptop would not connect the next day, so we called the geek squad again. The lady said she knew how to solve our problem but we had to,pay for the fix. I explained that this laptop was a couple of days old and resetting the router did not work this time. All she kept saying was she could solve my problem but Best Buy would charge me. I, then, asked if Best Buy would wipe out the files I loaded on the computer if I returned it. She, again, said they would for a fee. I took the laptop to the windows store and it connected right away to their wifi. He told me some wifi cards do not like some routers. We returned the laptop and bought another brand at a different brick and mortar store. It jumped right on our wifi and has since ever since.

If you are needing something to pass you by, I would definitely recommend this laptop. The reason why I'm only giving this a 3 star is because this is a decent laptop for the price... If you want to save a little bit more money. I recommend getting it in open box. No issues with mines. I like it. I have a work laptop and now i have this one. For light use.

Would consider buying another if needed. So far the performance is perfect for what I do.
