I purchased this for my daughter to use in high school. It is sleek, light weight and stylish. The features/ specs are great and it works perfectly.

It froze after a couple days of having it, but hasn't froze since. So far so good.

I needed a new home laptop to replace my Sony Vaio running Vista, because the support for Vista is starting to get to the end of the life cycle. My work laptop is a Dell E6440 Windows7, but I found mixed reviews on the Inspiron series and didn't feel that there was enough value in the XPS/Latitude series. Then I looked at Lenovo, but couldn't find one that I liked with a HDMI connection. Then I looked at Apple, but did not like the fact that you can't upgrade RAM after you buy it. So I almost went back to Dell, but found some solid reviews on Asus. I found everything that I was looking for(Intel i5, 8GB RAM, Windows10, 256GB SSD, touchscreen, HDMI# for $900, so I bought it.
I have had it for about 2 weeks and am quite happy with the decision. Setup was a breeze. It boots really fast. The screen is clear and bright. The keyboard is comfortable. For me, the true test will be reliability#hoping to get 7+ years out of it), so the jury will be out on that one for some time. Windows 10 is definitely different from Vista/Windows7 but now where near as foreign as Windows 8.1. I do recommend changing a number of the default Windows10 security/privacy settings to protect yourself, but that is an indictment on Microsoft, not this machine.
