The best value for price and I'm happy with the purchase. The OLED 2.8k screen is amazing and the build quality is great, being able to lift it up with one finger on top lid. It can get hot however, May be due to the 12th gen processor. Also have a minor touchpad issue: not recognizing the touch.

I love this Laptop. I have purchased others in the past. This laptop is a great laptop for daily use and school. I do everything with this laptop. It is sleek, lightweight, the battery life is amazing. I don't even think about my charger during the day. From streaming to studying. I am not at all disappointed!

The OLED screen is the top feature of this laptop needless to say. It is definitely a solid performer for most everyone except maybe hard core gamers and video or photo editors. Don't be put off by the RAM amount or the fact it's not upgradeable. Given the speed of the hard drives and memory management the average user will not be disappointed. Even at 750 this is a decent buy. If you catch on sale it's a no brainer.

What more could you ask for? It has an OLED display, 90 hz refresh rate, a new 12th gen processor, and a pcie gen 4 ssd! The 8gb of ram is fast, and it should be enough for most people; this is a thin and light portable laptop, not a workstation. I got this during the 4th of July sale, but even at normal price, this is a steal.

Skating the Edge Between Luxe and Cheap

This is a pretty good laptop for school and work use, as long as you're not pushing a lot of pixels. The size is nice, fitting into a smaller messenger bag. The OLED display is bright and colorful, and leaving Windows in dark mode all day looks fabulous. It doesn't scream with 8 GB of memory, so if you can get something with 16 GB, I'd spring for that. It is a weird mix of premium finish and cheap plastic; where the lid of Zenbook and the cool barrel hinge scream quality, the plastic shell of said barrel and the plasticky keyboard deck look and feel cheap. The silver plastic around the fingerprint ID key is also not only cheap feeling, but hideous. The trackpad's ability to display calculator buttons is a neat trick, but I'm not sure that I'll end up using it. And Windows 11's default settings on this display make the OS look a bit horsey (you can fix this if your eyes can take it). It's a pretty good machine but if you can spring for something with 16 GB of memory and a more premium finish, I'd definitely do it.

Nice features,I like the fingerprint sign-in combined on the power button. The number pad combined into the touch pad is very cool and saves space. The screen is very nice, sharp and bright. The lighted keyboard is always a plus. Its not a speed demon but for what I wanted, small, lightweight unit for web browsing and photo and documents its more than adequate for my needs.

The only thing that holds this model back is 8gb of RAM. In 2023, 16GB should be standard/base on any windows machine. That being said, the display is beautiful, the build quality is good and aesthetically pleasing. Overall a good machine.

Good thing about the computer is that the design is versatile with good operating system. Only real complaint is that there are not enough side ports but, which can be resolved with an adapter. Aside from that laptop works great. Computer storage and battery life are also very good.

This laptop is all around great! My purpose to buy was for college studies and school work and it gets the job done with all of its amazing features. The battery life was great as well. The keyboard is very nice including the number pad. It came in handy for classes if you had to quickly type numbers! All around a great product especially for a new college student looking for a great purchase!

Not only is the OLED screen beautiful, but the processer is quick and powerful. Capable of doing some photo editing through the Affinity software I use and overall package is extremally nice for the price. ASUS has been a reliable brand for me and the ZenBook series gives a nice premium feel and design.

I have had many laptops and this one is great. Not for gaming but for daily task and other things you cant go wrong. The screen is by far the best i have ever seen on a laptop. Its truly breathtaking watching movies and playing low end games. I have had people walk by me using this and ask what type of computer is this because of the screen. On problem is it gets a little hot so a nice cooling pad is all you need. Love the 12th gen I5 in it.

The OLED screen saves this mediocre laptop. The screen is absolutely stunning. Now for the rest, aka the bad. This laptop bootup time is terrible with the specs it has. I throw normal 2.5" SSDs in older laptops and get better boot times. The screen just stays black for like 5 seconds then it proceeds to boot up. Takes over 22 seconds to boot each time, and just a little less to wake from sleep mode. (Checked bios and boot order has NVME drive first. Fast boot is on also) This gets entirely too hot too quick. 5 chrome tabs open and this thing sounds like jet engine within 20 seconds of opening them. 18 chrome tabs is too much for this laptop, starts to lag... Oddly placed power button which feels terrible. You never know if you actually press it or not because it doesn't really depress like the other keys and the screen takes so long to show any signs of coming on. So much bulkier than my asus zenbook slim from 4 years ago. Materials are worse as well. Asus you need to do better. Coming from my 4 year old zenbook, this feels like a downgrade. Non-upgradeable ram, you're just creating e-waste because in 8 years it will be unusable... and not just because the motherboard will go bad before then which happens too regularly with your laptops. Sincerely IT Professional

I needed someting decent in terms of speed/memory/display, etc., fkr the the office as well as school. Njce, tight fit/finish, beautiful display. However, this little guy runs hot. Very hot, w/ a 0* to 100* time, so to speak, that is impressive, and not in a good way. If this ASUS was a sports car running a 1/4 mile for time, I'd be impressed. For what it is? No. Battery life has room for improvement. And then there's this, After just hitting 12-18 lifespan, the E on the keyboard literally stopped working. And by that I mean stuck. Efforts to contact ASUS? Not mych support. My gentle effort to unstick it w/ SIM card remover caused the key to pop off, from the membrane. The cost to repair? $400-$500. No thank you.

Very nice computer. I really like the feel of the keyboard, and this computer works really well for my needs. Another reviewer mentioned that this computer runs hot, and I agree. I had this same model in an earlier version, and this current one runs much hotter. Otherwise, very happy with this purchase.

Disclosure: I am a fan of Asus Zenbooks. I've had 3-4 of them over the years. This one, however, misses the mark. A lot of my concerns have already been noted by other reviewers. - Memory - 8GB is...fine, but far from ideal. I do not notice any lag or slowdowns, but Memory Utilization is always ~90% and sometimes hits 99%. - Heat and Noise - despite switching to the Whisper mode, the laptop is never fully silent. The i5 seems to run around 78-80C while just doing basic office productivity tasks. Very odd. My 10th gen i7 Zenbook is FULLY silent while just browsing and using productivity app (temps never go above 65C). So, I would say cooling is insufficient. - Microphone - all the software enhancements make it unusable. Sound crashes or is very choppy during Zoom meetings. The solution is to turn off ALL software enhancements and noise cancelling options on the microphone. After that, it's all fine - a standard microphone. - Screen is fine but it's not as groundbreaking as others suggest. For $500, sure I'll keep it. But anything above that and you have much better options. Shame on, I'm guessing BestBuy, for contracting Asus to build this with these specs (Asus is fully capable and offers 16GB models, but this BestBuy exclusive only comes with 8GB. It's the definition of planned obsolescence).

      Dear SvilenT,

Thank you for being an ASUS fan!

We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused if it didn't meet your expectations.

The preinstalled RAM is enough for your light, daily computing needs. With Windows 11, lots of processes and services are running in the background even if no application is running. Services or processes not beng used can be disabled in the Startup Menu to reduce memory resource utilization. Or, upgrading the RAM will allow you to multitask. Also, with processes, services and applications running in the background, the fan will continue spinning and heat will be generated. The sound being choppy during a Zoom meeting may also be related to a poor or unstable internet connection, please check if the laptop has access to an established router and it is getting an excellent signal.

Should you need further assistance with the product, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I would be more than happy to help. Or, you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent at: https://www.asus.com/us/support/Article/1135/.

Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.
