This is one incredible laptop, probably one of the best I've ever owned. I purchased it for $1599 on launch day right before the prices went up same day. I'm impressed with it's performance, weight, battery life and design. Pros - Performance: The Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme X2-94-100 is insanely fast. It is probably the fastest mobile chip on Windows right now. It blows away the overly hyped Intel panther lake chips and AMD. It's not even close. For reference these are the scores that I got in some benchmarks Geekbench 6.6 -> 3821 single, 23070 multi Cinebench 2026 -> 637 single, 7112 multi Speedometer 3.1 -> 45 - Graphics: The graphics has been improved massively over the previous gen which was the main weakpoint. most games are now playable on low to medium settings. I played Cyberpunk 2077 at medium settings I was getting around 64 fps, Shadow of Tomb Raider I got 54 fps - Weight: When I first picked it up, I was blown away by how light weight it felt. I measured it at 1310g and it is probably one of the lightest 16 inch laptops I've ever used. - Display: This is gorgeous, the colors pop and gets crazy bright - 48GB of RAM for this price is insane. It's also super fast 9533 MT/s - Ceraluminum feels really nice to touch, you just feel like you want to touch it often - Battery life is solid though it's not spectacular. On Chrome browser playing Norway 4k on Youtube at 4K resolution at 50% brightness in power efficiency and whisper mode, I got 13 hours - The SSD is easily replacable so that's another bonus - The touchpad while not haptic feels buttery smooth and nice to use. - This Best Buy exclusive version has touch which is great, which makes the display look premium and get rids of those ugly cheap black borders in the nontouch variants - Windows on ARM: There are very minimal compatibility issues now and almost everything works. The performance is great, and quite faster when compared to using regular x86 laptops Cons: - It would have been nice if the battery was slightly higher capacity like 83Wh or maybe even 99Wh for a slight increase in weight would have made it perfect - There is no webcam privacy shutter - There are lot of reflections on the display which can be very distracting when working outdoors. There needs to be some sort of antiglare coating - There is lot of empty space around the keyboard which could have been used to place some upward firing speakers. All the speakers are at bottom

This is an easy review to do. This is, without a doubt, the best laptop I've owned. I have been waiting for a long time for a high performance, lightweight, long-battery life 16 inch laptop. With previous machines, there was always a trade off. It was either the battery life, the weight, heat dissipation, etc. Then comes the Zenbook A16. I couldn't believe how light it is. And yet it is beautiful and sturdy. The display is gorgeous. The performance is phenomenal. And I still get more than a day of battery life. And I haven't faced any app compatibility issues. Highly recommend this machine.

This laptop blows away practically every laptop currently on the market at a fraction of the costs. X-elite 2 chip is super-fast and whisper quiet. You almost never hear the fan or feel heat when laptop is placed under load. I never could have imagined having this much power for such a light device. This laptop is lighter that my Surface Pro with keyboard with a much bigger screen and power.

Laptop is great. Very fast. The trackpad is OK, it’s reasonably accurate but not haptic. It’s mid tier. The rest of the machine is fantastic. Display is great, ports are great, cpu is awesome. Wicked fast. Keyboard is great too, better than I was expecting.

Laptop: Very portable and easy to handle. It is powerful and does not heat up at all, and does not make fan noises with simple tasks.

Hey everyone, I just went through an absolute saga returning four different premium laptops before finally finding "the one." If you’re struggling with the current state of Windows hardware, here’s a breakdown of my journey. The Backstory: Failing Up from the Galaxy Book 4 Seeing the amazing performance of my spouse's M4 MacBook Pro, I thought the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360 would be my premium Windows equivalent. Instead, despite a beautiful slim chassis and unbeatable OLED screen, it was plagued by a uniquely terrible touchpad, a massive 16GB RAM limitation for my workflow, and severe thermal throttling. It made me realize that Intel and AMD just cannot compete with Apple's ARM architecture right now. I don’t care what the benchmarks for the Core Ultra Series 3 or Ryzen 9 4-series claim—it’s all marketing garbage. In the real world, you deal with terrible optimization, severe thermal throttling, micro-stutters, UI hiccups, and legacy bloatware. The 3-Laptop Showdown (Spoiler: Returned Them All) Determined to find a true premium machine, I ordered three highly-voted Windows laptops. Each had a fatal flaw: Dell XPS 16: Excellent build, but insanely expensive with a totally mushy keyboard and an infuriating lack of traditional ports. HP OmniBook Ultra 14 (2026): Even with the latest Core Ultra 7 Series 3, it suffered from the same x86 downfalls. Plus, it looked cheap and felt way too heavy and thick. Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Pro: The best of the bunch with an unbelievable screen. However, at $2500+, it had an annoying fan profile for basic tasks, and I didn't want to reward Samsung after my Book 4 experience. (Side note: I also tried to cheap out with a Dell Plus 16. The second I saw the trash non-OLED LED screen, I boxed it right back up.) The Turning Point Defeated, I noticed the newly released 2026 Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme chips, marking a massive milestone for Windows on ARM. Reviews showed the launch device, the Asus Zenbook A16, pushing M5 performance. I pulled the lever. For $1,699 USD, it came with 48GB of ultra-fast LPDDR5X-9523 soldered RAM—while most competitors charge an arm and a leg just to step up to 32GB. My Deep-Dive Review of the Zenbook A16 The Silicon & Performance Curves: This chipset is incredible. It rips through heavy productivity and photo/video editing with much lower power draws. Zero UI Stutter: Those classic x86 Intel/AMD micro-stutters are completely gone. Transitions are buttery smooth. Flawless Touchpad Gestures: Three-finger swipes to pull up open windows finally feel instant and exact, without the usual Windows lag. The Magic of ARM Power Delivery: Uncompromised speed. You get the exact same performance curve on battery as you do plugged into the wall, unlike heavily-throttled Intel/AMD chips. True 10-Hour Battery: Tested and validated. I'm getting a solid 10 hours of screen-on time on High Performance mode, beating the realistic sub-4-hour battery life of x86 competitors under load. The Chassis & Weight: At just 2.6 lbs, this 16-inch chassis is insanely light. The "Ceraluminum" material feels rigid, premium, and durable. Display: The 3K Asus OLED is gorgeous. It only slightly loses to Samsung’s untouchable anti-reflective coating, but at this price, I’m incredibly happy. Ecosystem Integration: Asus GlideX works seamlessly, letting me use my Galaxy Tab S10 as a lag-free wireless second monitor for on-the-go multitasking. ARM App Compatibility: Every workflow app runs comfortably or natively. Microsoft’s Prism emulation layer is seamless. (I had one hiccup with Brother printer software, easily fixed by using the built-in ARM IPP Universal Class Driver). (Note: I don't game, so this review focuses entirely on productivity, editing speed, and stability). Final Verdict For $1,699, you get a 16-inch 3K OLED touch screen, 48GB of ultra-fast RAM, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and Wi-Fi 7 in a super-light, hyper-portable device. Now is officially the time to invest in Windows on ARM. I am a complete believer.

Almost perfect. Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme Windows on Arm is very mature in 2026. Almost everything runs just fine on it with native code as opposed to Prism emulation. The only programs I had any issues with were various SQL databases (mySQL, Oracle, etc), virtual machines and some games. I do lots of coding in Python and all the tools I use for this task were available. The X2 Elite Extreme is way faster than my other laptop which has an i9 285H in most tasks. The 48 GB of RAM is extremely quick and unified so you can allocate more to the GPU if you wish for LLMs. I kept 32GB as available to the GPU and 16GB for general RAM to run a larger LLM than my desktop with a RTX 5070 is able to do as it only has 12GB of VRAM. Technically a 5070 can process the tokens faster but the model is limited in size due to RAM limitations and I found more use from a larger model. The display is outstanding as a high resolution OLED with no issues whatsoever. The keyboard and trackpad are great, though it would be nice if the trackpad was haptic. You will be amazed how light this thing is. I would have preferred a bit more weight though for a bigger battery. The battery life is outstanding and I got about 14 hours on average, but the inside has a lot of empty space where they could have put a larger battery. Speakers are downward firing and they sound good, but not as good as what you would find from upward speakers like on the Dell XPS, ROG Zephyrus or Macbook series. Games are hit or miss. You can run games at 1080P at 60fps or more in most cases. Some games just wont run due to compatibility. I played Forza Horizon 5, Overwatch 2, and various older games with no issues. My only complaints are minor so I keep the score at 5 stars.

This laptop has a great screen, adequate battery life, and in whisper mode is very quiet. It has great CPU performance. The graphics aren't as good as latest offerings from Intel or AMD but they're good enough. The main pros: 1. Great CPU performance 2. Whisper mode is genuinely quiet 3. I like the feel of the finish, but your mileage may vary. 4. The display is great overall. High refresh rate, decent pixel density. 5. Lots of memory The main problems: 1. Touchpad is wobbly at certain angles. Feels cheap. 2. Windows on Arm still doesn't work with everything. Especially games. 3. Screen is highly reflective. 4. Lightweight comes at expense - the battery is only 70 WHr. Overall I am happy with this laptop, especially considering the price.

I found the latest Asus Zenbook A16 to be an excellent choice for a 16" laptop. First impressions were positive - light weight and sleek finish (wish there were more color options though). The start-up was easy, but what impressed me was the speed. The processor Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme gave a noticeably faster response than my current HP Lunar Lake. Excellent memory at 48GB. Great screen resolution and battery life.

In 20 years, I’ve never gotten more than three hours of battery life out of an x86 laptop. Sure, they can sip power during mundane tasks like streaming, but actual use drains them at roughly 1% a minute. ARM is Windows’ escape from that fate. Make sure you’re installing ARM binaries and you’ll sail past 10 hours. It also has a great display and feels so light it could be hollow. I just wish it had a second NVMe slot and a numeric keypad, since there was plenty of room for both.

Pros - Incredibly thin and light, great for traveling - oled screen is class leading - good processor to handle everyday needs - maintains cool temps - although not meant for it can handle aaa games (in low settings) Cons - the touchpad seems flimsy when tapping - the laptop stutters a bit (not frequent) when coming in and out of video watching

I'm a computer person and use the laptop all day; this is a nice laptop! Positives: - Fast (CPU/GPU/DRAM) - Very solid/stiff build quality (I was worried as others called it "light") - Excellent stability when running Arm-native code - Nice OLED screen - Charging, networking, ports, sound, SSD all work well Main areas for improvement: - Battery life is low compared to MBP (I need to charge mid-day) - Screen is very glossy - Keyboard backlight is insufficient for the symbols that share the number keys - Keypad tracks very well but clicking requires a heavy click - Finish texture really traps dirt and fingerprints - Prism emulation crashes on some x86 programs - Most local LLMs are not optimized for GPU/NPU (MBP is better for local AI)

I'm coming from a Snapdragon X1 based Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x which I was extremely happy with (now being handed down to my parents). The X2 based Zenbook A16 is an upgrade in every way that matters. Can't get over how cool and quiet this stays even on regular-heavy load. Windows ARM has matured a lot of the last few years and virtually every app is now ARM native and those that aren't still run great. Discord, 30+ VPN providers, Google Drive, Adobe Premiere and much more are all native now when they weren't a few years ago.

Fantastic battery performance, lightweight and very fast speed. Great product for the price.

As a life-long Samsung-brand champion, over the past year my experience with the Samsung Galaxy Book4edge had just been awful. The 1 year warranty expired and 2 months later it started having all sorts of issues - I spent hours on end in powershell troubleshooting windows compatibility and power charging issues only to finally having to return my book 4 edge for a replacement...upon unboxing the replacement, not even kidding right out of the box from Best Buy again - my new book 4 edge was still broken! Something to do with Samsung bloatware and Windows. I then determined I needed to ditch Samsung laptops for good. Initially during my research, it was hard to find anything remotely similar in processing power, memory, WEIGHT and sleekness. Until I came across the ASUS A16 Zenbook. When I read the statistics on this - they were impressive, essentially everything the book4 could do, but better. Best of all? None of the annoying incompatibility issues with ASUS software, qualcomm processors and windows (at least so far). Added likes: The ceraluminum coating is pretty unique and has a great feel to it. Among other comparisons to my old Samsung - the ASUS was the only one to have same size, OLED and better processing, memory and storage. The only things I DON'T like (and these are trivial): 1. There is no fingerprint reader, which I mean was nice to have - but it does fine using the front-facing camera for face biometrics. You'll just see other reviews mention the extra space on the ASUS keyboard and I agree, there could have been more here. 2. The charger - where Samsung has a sleek USB cord and phone-like charger block, the ASUS is a bit more cumbersome with a larger charging block. All in all, I much rather have a powerful machine for browsing, working and stability than one that has a more streamlined charger and fingerprint reader. So if you're like me and can't stand Apple, but have been increasingly disappointed with the quality of Samsung laptops - the ASUS A16 Zenbook is guranteed to pique your interest.

I've used this laptop for software ranging from Microsoft Office to AutoCAD to Dolphin emulator, and it ran smooth for all. The battery life, RAM, and storage are all impressive for the price. Personal gripes are (1) the keyboard is so small compared to the frame that ASUS could've used that space for something like speakers or a number pad or something, and (2) it's (occasionally) a little bit glitchy when it pairs with devices or docks. But otherwise, it's been great!

18 Cores, 48 GB RAM, OLED Screen, Copilot PC, Excellent Looking (not boring Silver or Black), and PERFORMANCE - Just Wow!!!

It's been a month since I purchased the Asus and I have to say it was a great purchase. Its powerful and very light for travel. The Geek team made it simple to purchase.

12 years ago, I owned my last ASUS product, a Zenbook UX302. It had a couple of problems with peripheral interfaces: 1) The external audio jack suffered intermittant dropout with failover to the internal speakers. 2) touchpad "palm rejection" was almost nonexistent. Several times per minute, spurious phantom clicks randomly repositioned the cursor around, or away from, text documents in focus. Annoying, but not nearly as destructive as the lightning-fast, drag-and-drop sequences that would occur over containers such as File Explorer and Control Panel. It was so bad that my palm ultimately retaliated with an embarrassingly aggressive rejection of the touchpad. I swore off ASUS and moved on. A decade later, I'm looking to replace a much-loved LG Gram Pro that simply wasn't robust enough to endure occasional three-foot trips to the floor in the hands of a wobbly seventy-something kid. I had hoped to find a legal-pad-sized Panther Lake system of centimeter thickness with kilogram heft. The Panther Lake promise is a sufficiently capable built-in GPU (Arc B390) for video processing in a system that doesn't double as a cooktop, along with peripheral transfer rates up to 80Gbps (USB 4.2 , Thunderbolt 5, ...). No such luck on the Panther Lake front, mid-2026.
