Customers frequently mention the ZenPad's ease of use, particularly highlighting its suitability for children and intuitive navigation. Positive feedback also includes its battery life and camera quality, with many praising the value for the price. However, some users noted that the screen size could be improved and that performance could be inconsistent at times. The screen resolution and occasional lag were points of concern for some customers.

For a start there is a few great ways to say this is a good product for a tablet its a great for some one that needs a small tablet.
Pros are that its light and works well. Screen looks wonderful. the sounds is good for close by. The updates take about 10 mins for every thing to load at the start. and I am using a ASUS router. One thing that is sad to say it dose not have wifi AC so that is fine for this year. I would like to see it at some point in small systems. I would say that youtube looks great on videos 720p and 1080p.
Cons well to say that I like the plastic feel no not really. The charge time is bad to 70% full batt and the charge time is 4 hours left to charge 100%. I would like to say that I will be looking for the charge cover when it comes to the us. I will mainly use this next to my bed when reading and learning some thing new. Kind of wish i would have gone with the Zenpad S8 Little more money but has better usb and you can use a pen also.

Would I say this is a bad product No. I would not get it for a kids but I would say that most people looking for a good working tablet will find that this will work for them. its easy on the eyes and very easy to use. I love the new app switch. rather than side to side its up and down.
the atom 64 bit is works great with no lag at all. I wish that the down load speed was a little faster but seems good for a 99.00 buy.

What attracted me to this tablet was it's size. I have an iPad mini 2 and I've own several Samsung Android tablets in the past. I was looking for something that was small enough to fit in my back pocket and the 7" Asus Zen Pad does that well. It's a very thin but sleek looking tablet and my only true issue is that the OS seems sluggish. I put a 64 gig sd card into it so I wouldn't have to store anything else on the internal memory because this tablet comes with a bunch of bloatware out the box! So having a nice size sd card is the way to go! Now with all that said I think the processor is just not fast and it shows when you scroll from page to page and with app startup. It's still a solid performer though but just not fast. All in all I think its a nice looking tablet that performs at an average rate. This is not a power house but the good thing is Asus makes a larger 8" version for less than $100 bucks more with better screen resolution and better performance.

It is okay. The battery is long lasting. Its a little slow to bring up my a.i.type keyboard. I have non Asus live wallpapers, which does not come back up after a restart, but I can reselect that wallper. The apps open up and respond at a normal time. The SD card reader is a big help on expanding space. Overall its pretty good.

Great Tablet for Light Users

This tablet was purchased for my mother, who has wanted one for a while. After reading reviews and comparing prices, we decided on the Asus Zenpad. I have an Asus TransformerPad myself, which I've loved since I got it, so I figured I should go with the same brand. I'm glad I did, because this is just an overall great tablet. From an appearance standpoint, it's very minimalist (I chose the black model) and actually very nice to look at. It weighs almost nothing, so it is great for laying in bed watching Netflix or playing games. The User Interface is very simple and attractive as well, and getting used to using it took no time at all for my mom. Battery life appears to be pretty good (the initial half charge survived a night of very heavy use, and even software updates). I won't know too much more without owning it for a while, but if I find any issues this review will be updated.

He has been using it for about a month now with no complaints of space, unlike other tablets he has had where he quickly runs out of space. The only issue he sometimes has is he has to hold the power button longer then usual sometimes for it to turn on.

I bought this to read ebooks, and it is perfectly good at that. It can seem a little slow at other times, but it is well within my expectations.

At this price point usually the choices are pretty bleak...until now. The Asus ZenPad 7 is the best android tablet I've used at this price point. No bloatware, fast and easy on the eyes and hands. Top choice hands down.

This tablet runs great and has plenty storage space to install all your favorite apps. This was a gift for my grandmother and she has had zero problems with it. This is a great value and is a solid running tablet.

I had an ASUS 7 memopad before this one. As I am new to the tablet experience, I had found that the ASUS 7 memo was/is much easier to use and handle. In my experience with the Zen, I find, on the exterior, that the button for turning the tablet on is located MUCH lower down on the side and find myself touching it and it turning itself off or to "sleep". Also, the charging port is at the opposite end of the Zen; the Memo had it at the top. I forget this sometimes, looking for it at the top. LOL! The programs are fine. I was confused with the camera vs. video icons. On my Memo, the icon for the video was a video camera; in the Zen it is a big red spot. This was confusing to me. A "GEEK SQUAD" manager helped with this. He also helped me to understand the new swiping motion from my desktop. At the bottom, it says: swipe up but then has to arrows at each side of this direction, one pointing to the left the other to the right. My fault in not reading this right; still confusing.
Thank you for listening.

Mom wanted a tablet to do her Nook and Kindle reading on with a back light - this works perfect for her. Not the best for surfing the internet - but that wasn't what it was bought for. For books - it's perfect for the price!
