Good watch for the money

I purchased this smart watch as an alternative to the samsung gear, simply because of the price. It does the things that I need it too, like being able to see who is calling without having to stretch and reach for the phone on my side, and see what e-mails I got, and not have to look at the phone. If you need a smart watch to do more than this, then go spend a lot of money on a gear, or apple watch.

Good watch with some drawbacks

Overall I like the watch but it has a few drawbacks. Moving my hand to view the watch only lights it up about half the time. Since the watch is connected to my phone, when I get into my Bluetooth vehicle I have to manually connect my phone to my car. Other than this, it's handy to be able to view emails and texts on my watch without taking out my phone.

This watch has stellar battery life (up to 2 full days with Active Display on and a lot of use) and a great screen (OLED, so dark blacks and bright colors), and while the frame outline is somewhat large, it doesn't feel bulky on my small-ish wrist at all. No HR sensor, but I don't care for that. I was first apprehensive about the bezels, but it really doesn't bother me.

I really like ASUS products and this really stands out against the competition. Much cheaper than the Apple Watch and when I wear it so many people comment on it. It has all the basic functions of a smartwatch but looks great and very customizable. Also easy to pair with iPhone which was a plus! Battery usually lasts about 2.5 days (moderate use). Very nice watch!

I love this Smart Watch for what it can do. Plus, its easy to use. I get comments on its style and who makes it? daily. The pedometer and letting me know I have a call coming in on my Smart Phone are my favorite functions.

Cheaper Alternative

I was wanting to get a Samsung Gear S2 or S3, but I couldn't get past the cost. Zen Watch 2 is definitely a cheaper alternative that is just as good to me. Battery gets down to 70% after a full days use. I just charge it when I charge my phone at night. It doesn't monitor heart rate, but the step count is pretty accurate.

This watch had been a joy to use. Not only does it stand out in a field of round watch faces, but it packs a ton of features. IP67 is great. I used it on vacation in the ocean, pool and hot tub with no issues at all. It charges from 30% to 100% in like15 mins. I can easily get almost 2.5 days out of the battery (not always on). The gesture to wake is great which makes me not care that the screen is not always on. It is comfortable to wear all day and night. Still a young platform, don't expect millions of apps. You can reply to text or emails with voice and do the same with reminders. Mostly very fast and responsive, but I've also had a few android crashes to. Still really happy. Still waiting for android wear 2.0 for this to really shine.

Works Well - Looks Great

I looked at this last Christmas, but decided not to at the time - more money than I wanted to spend for a "gadget", that will be obsolete in a year or 2. My Casio is still going strong after 10 years and cost half as much. But when my birthday rolled around, I had some spare cash so I took the plunge - considering it was $50 cheaper than before.
It works great - more useful than I thought it would be. I did opt to buy a gun-metal band to spruce up from the supplied leather band - just because if I happen to get the leather band wet, it will start to look bad.
Pairs nicely with my GS5, although now I am forced to look through Google's "cards" that they deem important enough to send to both devices now. I mostly use it when I leave the house and will be driving, because glancing at my watch for alerts is easier than looking at my phone while driving. Also having GPS directions displayed on my watch is kinda cool too.
The only "issue" I have is it frequently overrides my bluetooth headset and mid call it will flip the call audio to my watch and I have to reconnect my headset.

I spent two weeks weighing watches, and not once did I see that this watch had a speaker phone. In fact, one reviewer listed that as a con. Second day I have it, I realize the person calling me is speaking from my wrist. Amazing watch. Modesty. Apple watch looks, Asus quality, and android prices.

Bought for my son for Christmas because he wanted a FitBit or Apple watch. The BB salesperson was very helpful and pointed out the features and benefits of the ASUS versus the others which were much higher priced. Started up and sync'd with his phone and works like a champ. Good long battery life

I've had the Samsung , and the Moto 360 and had to get this one. I'm glad I did, I love the square watch and unfortunately the new one is going to be round...:( Sure the round looks cool, but scrolling sux on a round face. I find that I never use the Moto. Weeks would go by and I found that all I did was put it on and take it off everyday and charge it. With the ASUS I use it a lot. Not constantly, but throughout the day. Everything works great. My only complaints would be that I wish they would make them waterproof like a casio etc. This is my second one as the first one got wet and shorted out. The leather band on the first one was nice with the ASUS clip, the replacement had a leather band with a cheap clip. Overall I love this one and not sure what I will upgrade too someday in the future.

If you are looking for the end all and be all, this isn't it. However, if you are looking for a smart watch that handles basic work needs, this is it. Bought it on sale and haven't looked back. Email and texts come through without a hitch, and I have replied to texts using the watch several times. Needs to be somewhat quiet, but even with radio on in background in the car, the watch picked up what I wanted to send. Battery life is about 24 hours...only died once because I tried to push it. I put it on the charger (which is super easy and automatic to connect!) each morning and it is fine. The voice activation isn't perfect, but remember it isn't a $600 iWatch. Biggest complaint would be outdoor visibility. Brightness needs to be at max plus boost to have a chance on sunny days. Used it yesterday to navigate a trip on my motorcycle and it performed great.

I Like the leather band that comes with the watch. Screen is very easy to read and with many different watch faces built in and very easy to use interface. Also like that you can get many useful apps for the watch. Love everything about this watch and the price isn't too expensive either.

I have used his watch. Looks awesome, battery back up is good, charges quickly. Only concern I had was not compatible with iPhone. I have seen my friend using with Android and works excellent. I would say this watch will be equivalent to Apple Watch.

This is a great smartwatch. The screen is bright, clear, and it looks very good. I love that I can make and receive calls from my watch. The volume could be a bit louder but it is still acceptable. Overall, this watch is a great value for all the features you get and at an awesome price!
