We needed a wall mountable system and were having difficulty finding one that would work in the space we have. This one is EXACTLY right, and I want to thank the reviewer who pointed out that this is truly a wall mount, and not just a "shelf" for the handset to sit on! In fact, this one is more compact and takes up less space than our previous wall mount. The sound quality is excellent -- very clear. We haven't had a chance yet to explore the ring tones, so I can't comment on that. But I like the fact that I can pick up any handset and play back messages. That's a very useful feature since I work at home, and we have the answering machine in a different part of the house from my office. As far as we can tell, it's very durable, so I gave it an excellent rating. We are very happy with this purchase, and we are grateful to those who took the time to review this product previously -- you guys saved us a lot of time and trouble! Thanks!

This product has a lot of features for the cost. It has a large readout and simple menu system. The expansion headsets, up to 12, are only $20. The range, volume, and clarity of the phones are excellent. The buttons are large and easy to select. The phones are also stylish and attractive. These phones were not as expensive as some manufactures making this the right purchase for me.

Don't know what took me so long to replace the phones that we had before. Unlike those this phone has pleasant ring and sound quality is excedllent. Love the way I can check messages...don't have to go to the base! It really has been a good purchase to date!

Range of phone use- excellent. Intercom system for each individual handset- fantastic. Abality to access voicemail from any handset is great. I can't judge longevity because I've only had them 2 months.

Great looking phones for the price. Very easy to setup and use.

Bought this for my girlfriend. Only complaint is the voicemail function is difficult to install because the written directions in one key step are unclear, but the customer service rep walked us thru that step and it now works fine. Paul

The only item that I see that is missing you cannot plug a head set into the phone.

I thought all phones these days had headset jacks. Not these! I've asked Customer Support if another model handset (SL82418 - same features as this system but has headset jack) can be registered with the CL82409 base, but I have not yet heard back from them yet. I found the SL82418 system on the www.telephones.att.com site, but I do not see it on BestBuy.com so I assume they do not carry it. I must have a headset when working from home, so I will return this system if there is no other way.

We have ours placed close to many electronical appliances unlike the directions suggest and have no noise interference. haven't been able to loose anyone yet and we have quite a large yard it works great for our needs.

Overall this is a good phone. My complaints are: 1. The volume doesn't go up loud enough 2. The number buttons light up but the "phone" and "off" buttons don't light up. This makes it very hard to answer the phone at night when there are no lights on in the room. 3. The handset looks too much like a remote control, making it a bit hard to find sometimes.

Like having 4 handsets, plus the unit is expandable. Nice small answering machine--doesn't take up a lot of space.

I liked it so much,I replaced a working phone I was going to use, with the add on feature it was a snap! I just plugged the new one in and that was it! I now have 5 phones in all! Also the wall bracket is a great feature and looks sharp!

I've done my homework and found this to be one of the best cordless phones for the money. I am glad I bought it.

I bought this product to use in Brazil and it's been working fine. I can't speak to the durability yet as I've only had it for a month or two. I'm satisfied.

Returned this as soon as I opened the box and saw the shape of the base unit. My application required the phone be hung on the wall . Although the marterial said it had a wall mounting bracket, the triangular shape of the base results in the bottom of the base protuding way to far from the wall. What a disappointment.

I was still conected to the wall phone before my purchase. I love the freedom to go and do everything with this phone. Always clear and perfect.

i love having a phone in every room & don't need a phone line .

Any phone that has an intercom function should have this feature, a different ring for incoming land line calls and intercom calls. This phone only distinguishes between the two on the handset screen. I shouldn't have to get close enough to the phone and put my glasses on when it rings to see if it is an outside call or someone is trying to get in touch with me on the intercom. My guests will never pick up a ring for a land line call so since the ring is the same as for an intercom call they never respond when I try to reach them on intercom. This is such a no brainer in my estimation. Without this feature the phone is worthless. Panasonic gets it right on the count but not AT&T, one ring for outside calls and a double ring for intercom. If I didn't need at least 8 handsets I would go to one of the other manufacturers. Unfortunately I can only find 8 or 12 handset systems from AT&T so I am returning it to the store.

bought two sets, one for my mother and one for us, so far they have been great

I had a unidan phone for about 5 yrs and a friend of mine told me that At&t phones were suppose to have good ratings, so after my unidan died I thought I would try the At&t phone...very disappointed. To hold the phone to your ear hands free it is really uncomfortable, not ergonomically friendly at all. The price for what you get is not that great either, compared to other brands out there its really not some great value. There were more ringtones on my unidan and I could program a ringtone to certain #'s so I knew who was calling just by the ring. I also called At&t to see if they had a phone that was more like my unidan and there customer service has little to be desired, they were to call me back over 6 hours ago and I have yet to hear from them. I was going to give an At&t phone another chance but I truly just think that At&t is over rated. Going back to my unidan:)
