A lot better than the Samsung GoPhone I had before

I lost my first GoPhone diving into a pool to save my 3 year old nephew. So, I went back to Best Buy and got this model that was on sale. Excellent deal! Plus it works a lot better than its predecessor. It picks up weak signals really well, for one. I'm not at all into complexity, and this little guy has served me well ... so far. Btw, I do not text. So, take that into consideration when you read this review.

    Great product for the price

I bought this phone for my son as his first cell phone. For $10 it works extremely well. Setup was relatively easy and of course he figured the phone out on his own. Excellent starter phone to teach a kid how to budget and be responsible. Coverage is excellent and so is the sound.

The Phone is OK but BB Not so much.

I bought this phone as a replacement for my mom's phone. When I got it and put the SIM card in all was well. But because Best Buy didn't record the serial number properly before they shipped it AT&T thought I was trying to use a stolen phone and suspended my account. How about a phone call Best Buy?? Where is the customer service?

    Simple and easy

I bought this phone because I needed a....phone. Was not looking for texting, browsing or apps. It is easy to use, numbers appear large and clear on the screen and the speaker phone is loud and clear. That is all that I need in a phone and this one delivers. I put my sim card from my previous phone in this phone and it thinks it is my old contract phone. For $10 I have a great phone without a contract.

Bought the phone because of the cheap price, easy to use and set up,easy to add to any account to pay the minutes. For texting its perfect, for calls reception is not so great , hard to talk to someone if you cant hear each other. id say reception is good about 65% of the time. thats my personal experience.

Great extra phone for the family

Difficult to set up, but once you do it is an inexpensive extra phone that works great. We keep it in the sports bag for the younger kids and there are no worries if it gets lost, etc.

I only use my cell phone when I am away from home and need it to make an emergency call since there are no more phone booths. Great price on phone and plan.

I bought this for my parents visiting from Japan so they had a cell phone to use while they were in the US. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles, but good enough to make and receive calls.

Very much worth the <$10.00 I paid for the phone. Not a lot of frills but for talking & what little texting I do it works just great...I have not even sent my other phone in to be repaired yet. This battery last longer than any other phone I have had.

    Good basic phone

I didn't need a camera and all that; just a phone that does well as a phone, and this fits the bill, at a great price. Reception is quite good, even compared to the Samsung A117 this phone replaced. Also, battery life is very good: I go 3-4 days before having to recharge. It's also got the speakerphone and vibrate feature that I wanted. All for ten bucks. Very good.

great closeout price for a spare/back-up phone

Great closeout price for a spare/back-up phone. Settings are inconvenient. Sound quality is muffled - not that good. Display is sometimes difficult to read (too small a print for some of the functions). Must open the phone to turn off the buzzer or change volume. Min selections.... but for a back-up spare phone, can't beat the $4.99 price !

    Basic Cheap AT&T Phone

I got this phone when I forgot the charger to my other phone. I was in a hotel next to a Best Buy and thought I would go over and get a charger for my phone. They didn't have the charger, and the AT&T store had them, but they were almost $40. I got this phone and switched out my SIM card when my phone died. It worked flawlessly. It was a good trade. Either $15 for a new phone, or $40 for a charger.

    little cute Go phone (prepaid)

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I can use it as my second phone with prepaid card, Guide is not easy for beginners - it's difficult to follow manual to obtain the result. Symbols of knobs are too small and illegible. You have a phone-picture on one page (right) and the description on (left) but reverse page. What can you ask for less then $10 ?

    Solid phone

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It's a solid non-smart phone, no fancy features, but does what a basic phone should do. Good sound, volume is high enough, battery only needs to be charged once every week. Things needs to improve: 1. No caller ID display outside the shell. 2. Flip the lid won't receive the call automatically.

Bought to my friend who's visiting the States briefly. Nothing fancy, it does phone convesation and text only (it can't even show most of mobile site correctly anymore). Adequate basic phone.

Okay for the price that is...

They use UPS to deliver which is extremely slow! I prefer USPS. Also, don't recommend ordering gophone online because it requires activation and if not properly activated you can't use phone until issue is resolved so if ordering this product it is better to go to bestbuy directly and purchase!

    rough install

the phone was shipped without activation. Best Buy was good at letting me know, with emails, calls, and I think a note in the mail even. I called to set up the phone christmas eve (this was to be a gift). I was told we were set to go, so i loaded the prepaid card amount. The phone didn't work, even after calls to Best Buy. I didn't give the gift (for a very tech-un-savvy father-in-law who watches my 2 yr old once a week - felt he needed contact), but a family trip and several calls to Best Buy resulted in AT&T finally activating it (still a prob with the original activation). I'm now almost 3 weeks into my month's prepaid card, as a trial for him, and don't think it's enough time. you can't check if the phone is activated until after you load it, so if something goes wrong, then it's trouble.

if you just need an emergency phone this is perfect for you, but for texting, web access, and quality of sound and the other person hearing you, forget about it. This phone cannot even open sms messages or view pictures or video. Its a basic phone circa 2001 and refurb maybe 20 times lol
