I use it as a back up to my iPhone or as an emergency phone when a family member looses theirs. You can take it to the beach or hiking when you don't want to risk damaging your main phone. It's inexpensive enough to keep on hand and it has all of the functions of a much more expensive phone. Coverage and phone quality is as good too.
