Great visuals runs solid on the switch only played in handheld Easier than the other Atelier games in the past but still enjoyable. A solid new entry for people that want to jump in an Atelier game. Less frustrating time management system gives newcomers the change to explore, experiment new crafting techniques. A more intense turn-based combat system that will keep you on your toes vast areas to explore, collecting items for crafting is even easier than before giving you a chance to craft items without looking for a specific item. I would give it a higher score if the game was a little more difficult. I finished it much quicker than any of the other games in this series. Looking forward to a sequel since most of the Atelier games are Trilogy.

I bought this for my wife as a Christmas present, as she owns all of the Atelier games on various consoles. She was really looking forward to this game, and she was very excited to receive it. From what she has told me so far - the updated crafting systems, new real time battle systems, graphics and story have exceeded her expectations. In her words, this is easily one of the best, if not THE best Atelier game.

Easily one of the best JRPGs I've ever played and definitely the best in the Atelier series. Battle and alchemy systems are fun, addictive and rewarding. Visuals are excellent. ; )

Ryza has a great storyline and likeable characters. I like the new alchemy method and the combat. The graphics are a good upgrade from previous entries as well. Overall, a great game. I only wish they would dub it.

It's been several years since I last played an Atelier games, but after seeing previews of this new title and how gorgeous it looked compared to previous entries, I just had to get it. Most notable change for me was that there is no longer a time limit, which turns this game into a very relaxing adventure where you can take your time to fully explore and take in the game's world and mechanics.
If you're into JRPGs and are looking for something a little different than the usual fare of saving the world then definitely check this one out.

Atelier Ryza’s setup is pretty standard fare for the series but Gust has executed it sublimely well here, infusing the intimate story and young cast with a strong narrative backbone, giving players a reason to really care about what happens with this trio of headstrong young adventurers.
It’s a slow pace game, but you will surely enjoy the game mechanics.

Great visuals and doesn't take itself too seriously. Alchemy system and gathering was a nice change of pace to most JRPGs.

It’s a fun game with lots of exploring and collecting etc. To be honest I haven’t played much, but everything I’ve seen & heard combined with what I’ve played has left me with a very positive impression, I just have too many games & got side track by one of my highly anticipated ones recently!

Atelier Ryza is a slower-paced game that emphasizes exploration, crafting, and cute cutscenes with the main cast. There are tons of anime-like character cutscenes that are genuinely heartwarming (though all voice work is in Japanese). It's also one of the better looking anime-inspired games on Switch.
The only real negative is the combat--I highly recommend looking at a video of it online before buying.

A very different J-RPG and the first Atelier series game I played. Mechanics are confusing but the struggle to figure them out makes the game fun. I would rate this a 8/10, giving it slack since it's the first in the series I've played.

Fresh combat and a likable new protagonist help this entry bring in a new era for the Atelier series. With e improvements like switch performance and enchanting music & no time restraints . Atelier Ryza has made the case to be my favorite game in the series.

This is a really fun game. If you haven't played an Atelier game before, I'd say this one is as good as jumping off point as any. Really enjoyed my time with this one.

Atelier Ryza is a slow low stakes you aren't out ot save the world jrpg where half the game is wandering and the other half is alchemy. it's a great change of pace rpg. No English voice acting if that is an issue, subtitles only.

Fun game overall with extremely strong character design- takes a bit to get going but if you're a JRPG fan that's nothing new. Runs surprisingly well on Switch. Japanese voice acting only.

It's not overly deep or philosophical but scratches that itch for a simple, excellent, and fun JRPG.
