I love it best buy is better than walmart I go there all the time

Light duty and not as well designed as pics on website. But functions well for what we use it for. Would probably not repurchase at current price point

I'm accustomed to building furniture "Unassembled." However, these shelves took forever to build since there are screws instead of nails holding these things together. I tried using a power drill, but it wasn't working very well. Needless to say, my hands were sore after that.

I put this together as instructions said. I anchored this to the wall and added maybe 75 movies. After about a week- it collapsed and ripped holes in the wall.

Okay, so I did a lot of research before buying this thing. I read every review on it on this site, and having already bought a similar item once before, I decided that if I ran into problems like some of the people say they had on their reviews, I could just return it and exchange it. So I went in, picked it up, and brought it home. I unloaded it, expecting pieces to be unorganized, or incomplete. All the hardware was separated by letters, and even had individually perforated trays. Every shelf was given a letter as well. The instructions were simple. They were easy to read and to follow. The only tool required was a screwdriver...Phillips head. I was able to unpack this thing, separate all the pieces, and put it together, all by myself, in roughly an hour. It did help that I had a power screwdriver though. So, the positives? It holds a lot of media. It's big, and fits right where I needed it to. The construction was very easy, and the instructions are simple and do what they are supposed to (tells you how to put it together). Some people question the stability of this unit. Yes, it's made of more simple materials, but they are well supported. The unit doesn't wobble at all, and only forcing it to shift made it tip back...but it's leaning against a wall anyways, so no problem. And on top of that, it comes with a wall mount. If you want something stronger, you need to pay for it...which brings me to price. Just over $100.00 after tax. I've bought many pieces of furniture similar to this, and contrary to what many say, this is actually a decent price. If you want a sturdy oak cabinet or something, They are double, even triple the price of this unit. Sometimes even more. The negatives? I only really have a couple qualms with this thing. First, yes there are a TON of screws that go on the back to hold the backing in place. Most things like this use tiny nails, this actually used little screws. It is rather monotonous and was the most time consuming part of putting the thing together, but that backing is not coming off...ever! Second, the overhang of the DVD's. I don't like this look personally, but I understand why they did it at least. It puts less space between the shelves so they can put more DVD's in a 73 x 40 space. So, I don't like it, but I understand it. But that does bring up a sub point...the shelves are shorter than any other DVD rack I've purchased, So a couple of the taller DVD box sets don't fit in the shelves, and they aren't adjustable. so, complaint 2.5? Shelf size. So, in the end....No, this is not hard to put together. If you can read, and know what end of a screwdriver to use, you can put it together by yourself. Having a second person would speed up the process, and I definitely recommend using a power screwdriver to save time. If you have a stable level floor, you will have a stable level storage unit. It's not top of the line, but if you just want an inexpensive (relatively speaking - approx. 20 cents per DVD) way to store DVD's, this is it. And if you really are concerned with the stability after assembly, mount it to the wall. This does exactly what is says it does...It stores multimedia.

Item took over an hour to assemble and fell apart when puting two halves together. I wouldn't reccommend this product to anybody. I contacted custumer service they said they would give me $13 to keep it or send me a shipping label to return it. I'm not taking another hour of my day to dissasemble this thing so I can get a refund. You should be ashamed of yourself for sending such rubish to people. I'm taking it out to my dumpster and throwing this thing away

Shelves need to be deeper, but does what it is designed to do

I had previously bought this and loved it even though it was a pain to put together. Now that that one was filled up I purchased another. There was two things wrong with it. The first was I was sent an open item even though I bought it new. That distracted me from the worse problem until I had taken it all out of the box to make sure it was all there. The second problem was that I wanted the one with the CDs on top but they sent me the one that had it in the middle. Not what I wanted but I wasn't going to go through the hassle of taking it apart and repackaging it to return. Buyer beware if having the CDs up top matters.

I have 6 of these for all of my movies and video games. Sure, you can buy better ones that are real.wood, but they are very expensive. These are great for the price. A must buy for anybody that needs media storage.

I bought this cabinet to store some of my DVD collection. It isn’t strong enough to handle a full load of DVDs. It started to lean when I first started loading it up and by the time I was finished it was looking like it was goInf to break in the center from leaning too far forward. Yes it can be anchored to the wall but considering where I was going to put it, it wasn’t feasible. Anyway I had to purchase another much stronger Cabinet.

Half inch semi-glued particle board that flakes when screwed into.Dowels 20% smaller than the holes they go into. Cast metal cams that fractured when tightened, with no spares or spare parts for anything. Parts and holes that don't line up. No touch up pen or marker for exposed flakeboard around screw holes, joints of parts or defects. Now I know why it's not available in stores (where you could see it first!!) Truly, the worst thing I ever bought from Best Buy.

Great investment for the money. Very useful for my needs.

Good unit, long build time, not the most stable shelf

Bought and was excited to set it up. Very poor material and flimzy. Partial board was falling apart & the screws stripped the board.
