Great Capacity for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.....After spending much more on "furniture type" media cabinets, & running out of space, the hundred dollar bill for this 800+ storage compartment, looked real good. Yes, the instructions are a bit "fuzzy" , the materials & parts are "cheap",..but with one "inhancement" you'll find this unit will serve it's purpose,.....From a piece of "scrap" three quarter inch plywood ,..I cut out four nine inch squares & two nine by twelve inch rectangles,...fastening the two nine inch pieces to the twelve inch piece , (looks like an elongated "H" ) you can raise the base of the unit & store your "Box Sets" & other cases that won't fit on the shelf,...Keep in mind to space the "platforms" evenly under the base . In addition, when I assembled the unit sections, I placed each section on the bed to screw on the backing , Also,..I placed the base unit against the wall before I attempted to lock in the upper unit, to keep from tumbling over,..so far, so good,...

sleek look, sturdy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this CD tower as a Xmas present this year. My husband and I have gone to best buy a zillion times and have looked at these and he knew how much I wanted one, so I got one. We put it together the day after, took about a half hour or so, it's very sturdy, love the color and we are planning on purchasing another one since I already filled up this one. If you follow the directions, it'll be a snap to put together, and easy to do as a team. It affixes to the wall so it won't topple over. Love the look of it and would recommend this to anyone. I just wish it were bigger since I've already filled it up and need another one.

Was prepared for this.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this storage cabinet was not a terrible investment. Construction was time consuming, more to the fact that the materials feel like a small upgrade from using foam materials. Connecting the top and bottom sections was a pain and in all likelihood, the middle sections are not locked properly. The backboards are connected via screws, not the more universally friendly nails. With that said, for $100 you get what you pay for. It managed to stack in all my music CDs, DVDs and TV boxsets in. Not enough storage for my Blurays or games but that was something I knew going in. If you want to save some cash, pick it up however if you want something that feels more durable, pay a premium.

this is a wonderful space saver
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had no problems assembling this unit and I am a small girl, it didn't fall apart on me at all. Take your time and pay attention while assembling it and there should be no problems. It freed up alot of space and looks way better.

Pretty Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I have a lot of media and this storage shelf is pretty large. I love the size and look of it. Unfortunately, the quality is complete garbage. The particle board is such low quality that my shelf broke in several places while putting it together...I was being gentle too. I was able to retrofit it so it holds together, but it's going straight in the trash the next time I move. I know it wouldn't survive being moved and re-assembled. I had high hopes for it, but it is a big let down. Trying to find a hardwood one to replace it.

Very poor quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With over 2000 DVDs in my collection, I need storage. I bought this because of the number of DVDs it will hold. It is nothing like the picture on the box or on line. Shelves are not adjustable, they are narrow and are slotted together with the uprights. I was very disappointed in this unit. I have several storage units that were less expensive and are much better quality than this one.

Easy build for novice with some common sense
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.53 minutes from front door to filling shelves with my DVD/Bluray collection without assistance. TOOLS: Philips head and flat tip screwdriver, cordless power drill with magnetic philips head tip. 1. lay out and count parts 2. Do a mock-build of section #1 (completely build section #1 without screws, dowels & anchors. This will also assist you in the build of 2nd section as they are almost identical). Build section #1 with screws, dowels & anchors. 3. Build section #2 4. Attach sections #1 to #2, stand unit upright and lean front of unit towards wall as unit will fall backwards when not supported, attach back panels according to directions, anchor to wall and your done. 4. If you have more than a couple screws or a dowel left over it means you did not follow the directions and the unit will probably fall over and kill you...

Great Blu-ray DVD storage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've read the reviews before I purchased bc I didn't want to waste my time and effort, boxing it back up.. My only complaint which I did find in the reviews was that it's made of very cheap materials.. Bc I take care of anything I have it should last for yrs.. If you have to pack up and move, well it might get damaged ijs

smart shelving
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the smartest shelving unit I have found for the price. it is just a little scary when you assemble it alone. its a little flimsy. i'm going to add some supports on the sides if I can. and please fasten it to the wall if you get one. being so tall it sways on the carpet a little.but i'm still going to get another one.

It's a good storage shelf but....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's made out of cheap materials. For the price it should have been made out of real wood or something just as good. You have to be careful assembling it. It can be rather flimsy. I did it by myself and the only problem I had was that when I screwed the backboard in the screws shifted outwards going through the shelf. The holes are not predrilled for the backboard. Also mine didn't sit close enough to the wall to secure it to, due to my floorboards. So I made an extension for the back out of real wood. So it wouldn't tip over. Overall it does what it's intended to do. Hold DvDs. And it does that and more. It's just it's made out of cheap material. I probably could've made one out of real wood if I wanted to spend the time to do so.

Overall a good rack.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this storage rack for Christmas from my wife. I have to say that I was impressed with it considering the price. I had it together in about 2 hours. The only issue I had with putting it together was they kept flipping the rack around in the instructions, so I put it together backwards in the beginning. But, not a big deal. I like the back of the rack, it's a nice Carbon Fiber color. It's hard to get the back on by yourself, but I managed. I have it filled already with all my DVDs. I will be buying another in the future.

Just Average
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is just an average piece of unassembled furniture, unfortunately to keep the size of the box down, it assembles into two pieces, which then mount together, this makes it very flimsy in the middle. The whole piece is very shaky, and pretty much requires the use of the included anchors and wall brackets. I think my biggest disappointment though was how misleading the picture is. The openings in the center are only tall enough to store cd's or nick nacks unless you want to lay movies down flat, but they will not stand up in the space provided. Other than that it will serve the intended purpose until something better can be found.

Should have gotten long ago
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So easy to assemble. Love accessibility with the overhang of media. Holds my Steel books, Ultra HD, my Blue Rays, DVDs and CDs. Took a lot of media off the floor and deep cabinets where I couldn't see all my media because some were behind others. Walked into Best buy. carried it out, assembled the next morning with one cup of coffee. Didn't take long at all. Instructions were spot on. No broken pieces, no extra pieces. It just looks good and very functional

Good shelf for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent about 2 hours putting this together, and what took the most time was putting the back on it, cuz it is 58 little screws to go into it. For me it fits perfectly in the space I wanted and had no problems putting it together or putting it against the wall and anchoring it. For the amount of movies it holds for the price it is a good deal!

Regret this purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easily one of the worst constructed items I've ever purchase. While I was impressed with the way this tower looked when I took it out of the box and assembled each half, I was very disappointed when I attempted to secure both halves together. The support to keep this tower upright and secure is severly lacking. Within minutes of putting both halves together and securing them the tower began to sway and had an unusual forward lean. The weight of the top piece is not supported well enough when anchored to the bottom piece. I expected better quality for the money spent. Steer clear of this item OR utilize secondary materials to secure the halves together.

Not bad, could be better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes this unit holds lots of DVDs & it is wood composite. I put & moved 2 of these by my self in about 2 hours. Because I do not have kids I tilted the units back slightly using the bases to keep the other one from moving (they're in a corner). If kids come over I'm using the wall anchors! These will easily fall over if pulled on - I've removed a DVD from a tightly packed shelf & almost pulled the whole thing over using 1 hand! The downsides are the wood material, lack of rearrangeable shelves & stability. As 1 person pointed out do NOT loose any of the screws or dowls there are NO extras. Despite the downsides I will keep an eye on this product & buy a few more if they drop to about $50.

Lotsa space, lotsa pain to put together
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this item to hold the expansive DVD collection of mine and my wife's. 32 different kinds of pain in the rear to assemble. Broken down into the smallest pieces possible, uses way too many wooden dowels and dozens and dozens of really small screws that take forever to get into place. Looks good, and holds lots of discs, but I'm a little iffy on it's stability.
