I bought this thinking it would be around the same quality as one I bought a few years ago from best buy for the same price and size.Talk about a disappointment. It is nowhere near that quality of my last one. It's real cheap particle board composite. The whole time I was putting it together I was praying not to break it. If you don't wall mount it it has absolutely no stability at all. The shelves are not adjustable and can slide right out when pulled on. I would have looked for something better if I would have known what I was getting for an $80 sale price. Not seriously worth more then $20.

For people who have a massive DVD collection (1,500) like our family, and need a storage unit that will hold all of the DVD's and not take up a great deal of space this is the storage unit you should buy. We bought four of them, and have them side-by-side in our living / movie room.

We love our DVD storage cabinet. My husband was able to put it together by himself and had no issues. It is a great value and hold a ton of movies.

This rack really looks great in our media corner! Putting it together is a bit tricky, you need to have a lot of patience but it is do-able.

Why can't I enter zero stars, as one star implies it's worth something? I'd like to meet the corporate buyer at BB, as they really know how to pick some winners. As I was unpacking this, one of the uprights snapped in half. Really? How was this going to hold over 800 dvd's? construction is of the cheapest possible chipboard, with a paper/vinyl laminate. Returning to BB for a full refund tomorrow. Advice: DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK

It's a great looking shelf and holds many movies. But the support in the center where the two pieces attach is very weak and no very supportive at all. The only way to fix this is to attach the shelf to the wall or buy extra support brackets to bolt onto it.

I've put together alot of shelving units in my time and this one went together rather easily. Some of the hardware was of poor quality but overall a good purchase.

I needed a large capacity DVD holder and thought this would be perfect. What a disappointment! The structure is flimsy and the particle board split as I inserted the screws. The shelves sag and I haven't even filled it because it needs to be anchored into the wall so the unit won't fall over. I wasn't expecting solid wood but the cardboard box it came is sturdier than the particle board used for this media rack.

Followed the directions step by step and when it came to putting the top and bottom together, the wood dowels and quick screws would not hold. Started putting the backing on and when I got to the assembly point the two pieces completely ripped apart. I cleaned both pieces and clamped them together, then attached to the wall for more stability. Poor materials, and a joke of an assembly process. If I hadn't of already had everything together when the two pieces broke, I would have returned it. It stores our movies just fine. Be aware that the center section is primarily for CD's - there's not way to put movies in there unless you stack to fill the gap. Save your money, look for something with better materials to use.

I bought this shelf a year ago to hold my Xbox games, PS3 games and blu rays. It lasted for about a year. I suggest you use a wall mount if you buy this since it's very flimsy. It was more of a pain in the a** than I hoped to assemble this as well. I got it on sale for $80, but in hindsight, I should have never paid more than $40.

Love this media rack. A lot of space and you can't beat the price. Plan on getting at least one more soon.

great fit for people with a lot of blu rays and dvd's i've bought 2 of them and looking to buy maybe a 3rd or 4th

Easy to assemble, but weak looking, not as strong as others but good enough at price

I purchased this item from Bestbuy.com back in July. It was extremely hard to put together and the pieces were really cheap. When it was almost complete I tried putting my dvds on the shelf but it was completely unstable. I had to lug it back to a store to exchange it for one that held less dvds.

A piece of cheap garbage. There is noting good to say about this product and I suggest that Best Buy remove it from their product line. Difficult to build, lousy instructions, cheap construction material. I eneded up returning the item to the store.

Very flimsy, DVD's look nice on them but that doesn't make up for the fact that when you try to move the shelve you have to act like you're holding a baby made of glass, with thumbtacks on the ground. Other than that, its a solid buy.
