Customers commend the Maxsteel 5-Tier Multimedia Rack for its ease of assembly and adaptable design, noting that it's simple to set up and can be configured to suit various needs. However, some customers found the rack to be narrower than anticipated, expressing a desire for a wider model. The slightly angled dividers also impacted storage capacity for some users.

Extremely easy to assemble. A little bit smaller than we expected but still functional.

Exactly what I was looking for! Metal feet (in case of a little water in the basement), low profile, adjustable shelves. At the sale price, it was a great deal.
I'm not crazy about the plastic shelf stoppers, but with a bit of playing around, I got them to stay in place while I slid the shelved over them, then got the shelves level. Thinking about getting one more so I'll have a matching unit as my collection grows.

I like the look of it and how easy it was to set up, also...how easy it is to adjust to uneven surfaces... I just wish they made one wider too...I have limited height space the way my place is set up.

I like it for the most part, at least all of my CDs fit with a little extra room. One thing that I don't like is that the dividers are made at a slight vertical angle which if they were straight i could possibly fit a few more in it.

This is a very sturdy shelf. I do not use it as a multimedia rack though. Due to the perfect size, it is in my utility closet for all my extra kitchen stock. It was easy to put together.

My favorite. I bought them in the past. Because they were metal.

I received one of these racks from a friend who was moving. Frankly, I don't know why she got rid of it. I've used this rack over over 6 years now with no problems. I've used it for tight-space clothing storage, potted plants, and, of course, media storage.
The kit sets up relatively easily, though you may have to re-set the plastic pieces a few times before getting it perfectly right. After a while, you may also find the racks get stuck and need more force to remove them. These are really my only complaints in six years of using this rack.
The way this set is made, you can set it up to meet a variety of needs, including different heights to accommodate books of various heights. I once had this set over a relatively tall desktop PC for storing software CDs. I even set it up once upside-down to hang below a loft bed! Talk about versatile!
One of the best things about this rack is that it collapses down very well for moving. I've marked it down for value for price only because it is a slightly expensive item, but for its ability to be used for so long (who knows how long my friend had it before!) and still work well, this is well worth the buy.

Perfect for cd's and DVD's. Adjustable shelves are great, too.

This rack does what it is supposed to do - hold things. The only downside is that you can't use all 5 shelves with DVDs or Blu-rays. It is a bit on the flimsy side, but as long as it stays in place it's fine. It's just not meant to be moved around a whole lot.
