I enjoyed this game early on and there are aspects of the game I like but for me it got a little more repetitive towards the middle and end and felt a bit like a chore to do everything, especially when it comes to collecting everything and doing all of the side quests and other activities.
I know it’s a AA not a AAA game which I’m fine supporting other types of games but it just felt very generic story wise. The voice acting and cinematics are lackluster and it always feels like it’s building up to something that doesn’t quite payoff in the end. I would give it a 6/10 overall.
I was originally hovering around a 5/10 since I feel it’s average but I gave it the extra point because I do feel like they really tried with their upgrade system in the form of essence stones and there’s a lot of variety in those stones as far as your play style but I feel like they really overcomplicated the system with way too many options and poor user interface and many enemies feel like “bullet sponges” I did enjoy many of the enemy designs found in the varying wraith enemy types but ultimately still fell short in the end.
It’s possible this game might be much more enjoyable with co-op, having a friend join you for the mostly empty open world to spice things up a bit. I do think the game is worth trying but perhaps at a lower price point like $20-$30 I would wait for a sale.

Fun game with flaws. Camera gets wonky at times. Voice acting is bad. Fun gameplay and enemy design.
