    After running out of HDMI slots on my TV and Surround sound, I thought this switcher would be the way to go, but alas, it was not. The colors and sound stay true, I'll freely confess that, but if you rewind or fast forward a blu-ray on the PS3 or PS4, change apps or YouTube videos on the AppleTV or switch channels on your DVR the device goes to static. Every time. With every device. You have to switch back and forth about 3 times to connections that are in standby to get the picture and sound to come back. I would have been better off just using a zip-tie to put the various HDMI cables in close proximity and then getting up and behind the TV to swap them out manually when I wanted to change inputs. Do NOT buy this item!!!

    I too had same experience with the switcher as ElwetheWhite. Thought I was going to be able to hide those extra HDMI cables and put the switcher and cables in the TV stand enclosure, but unit did not function without manually pulling power plug out and re-plugging, plus manually pressing buttons on switcher. Defeated purpose of manually messing around with cables or switcher. Well, back to switching out cables from back of TV because I'm sending the switcher back.
