Atomic Blonde is a decent but ultimately disappointing spy action flick that while having some generally amazing action set pieces and cinematography is let down by a pretty dumb plot and boring moments. Still, with the price of this cool looking steelbook and the fact that it’s still worth a watch, I’d def recommend picking this up.

Charlizes' character takes a beating but put out more pain in this 80s themed spy thriller. Set primarily in Berlin, with the wall intact, multiple agencies seek a comprehensive list of covert agents that could benefit one country but damage the others. Atomic Blonde gets a lot right in this one and great music to boot!

Surprisingly enjoyable spy movie that also offers action to boot! There’s plot twists and the actors have very interesting roles in the movie. Charlize Theron as the lead plays a very convincing spy who has to literally fight her way out of almost every problem she runs into during the movie. Recommended.

Atomic Blonde is "Charlize Theron playing John Wick x James Blonde" to me. Has lot of spy with Great Action scenes from Charlize playing herself. Back ground songs are great old 70~80 songs like NENA's 99 Red Balloons. Lots of fun and I strongly recommend If you like the action movies!

A bit slow here and there but overall good action, story, and plot. The beautiful Charlize Theron pulls it together.

I wished this was more focused on the action and less on the story, because the story wasn't all that intriguing, but the action was stellar. I suppose this can do until we get a better female version of John Wick.

Well, sort of, and it deserved a better fate. Charlize is a female Bourne, and looks better in a skirt than does Matt Damon. Hey, one could even argue it is worth owning for the soundtrack alone. I could see this becoming a cult classic.

I loved this film. I took a gamble buying it because I hadn’t seen it, and didn’t know much of the plot. I had heard really good things, so decided to buy it. It did not disappoint and I am happy it is now a part of my collection. 5 stars.

This movie really takes me back to so many of the songs that I was listening to when I was in highshool in the 80s. Charlize is gorgeous and she pulls off the action role quite well. James McAvoy is brilliant! Fun movie

This movie has great music, good quality vid and aud, she is amazing as usual, the movie has sparkle, old style quality, the instant classic you always hope for when you collect movies, could watch it a few times a year.

Charlize Theron plays a different role as a spy during the time of the collapse of the Berlin Wall. A dark movie, that requires you to pay attention to follow the plot. She's definitely great to look at!!!

Charlize Theron plays a hard knuckle James Bond, based upon the well regraded graphic novel. And we don’t mean the cartoonish Roger Moore James Bond. We mean the bloody and violent Daniel Craig James Bond in Casino Royal. Theron is compelling and it’s hard to pull your eyes away from her. I’ve had that opinion when I first saw her in the mediocre “2 Days In The Valley”; which is worth watching only to see here in that white jumpsuit. Here she plays a cool and jaded spy sent to Berlin in the final days of the Cold War to find and secure a list of spies and keep the list from falling into the wrong hands. And off she goes for what is, for the much of the movie, a pretty straightforward espionage outing sprinkled with some bits of creativity or uniqueness. The most famous are the love scenes between Theron and Sofia Boutella, powerfully erotic and potent; and the “stairwell” fight scene near the climax of the movie. The “stairwell” scene is a little puzzling in tone as in the first third of the movie there is one fight scene that is what you’ve come to expect from most action movies these days: a super stud that vanquishes all comers. This contrasts with the fight scene in the stairwell that is shockingly violent and graphic. Theron beats up a group of bad guys but they beat her up in the process. She is bloody and spent at the end and the level of graphic blood and violence brought to mind a Tarantino flick. At the end of the stairwell fight scene I felt almost as beat up as Theron. I respect that the scene does a lot to pull the glamour and glory out of a movie fight scene but I’m not sure what ultimate message they are trying to make with the scene, especially when coupled with the earlier, more cartoonish fight scene, other than that they can make violence violent. But there are some worthy things in the movie. The backdrop of the impending fall of the Berlin wall was intriguing and the 80’s pop music and the 80’s fashion warmed my heart. But for all the style of this movie it ultimately left me cold.

The movie was great, I liked the fact that best buy is releasing more titles in steel book cases with cool artw9, keep it up. I look forward to seeing and buying future titles as they are released.

Fairly good movie. I'm not a fan of Charlize Theron, but she was OK in the role.

This steelbook only adds to an already great looking movie. The artwork fits perfectly with the main character and the movie theme. Charlize Theron leaves you breathless during the action scenes.

Of the 80 4K movies I now own, this has the best picture quality of the ones that are 4K upscaled (that is not filmed in native 4K). A close second is John Wick II. They were both filmed digitally, but the picture quality and colors in Atomic Blonde just blow me away. It even looks much better than some of my recent purchases that are native 4K such as Bladerunner, Ghostbusters, and Christine. If you are a 4K fan, you must be careful these days because some of the 4K upconverts are no better than the blu-rays. I am trying not to buy any more upscaled 4Ks, but this one was on sale and so I took a chance. Although I did not like this movie the first time I tried to watch it and stopped half way through, this time I watched the whole thing because the picture was consistently jaw dropping, and must say that Charlize Theron was right on a par with Jason Statham and Steve Seagal in this movie.

Charlize plays the part well if a lethal women who get battered during fights. Action sequences are mainly hand to hand and well paced. Looks and sounds great with a sound system.

The toughest, prettiest blond I ever seen, kick butt like a man! She can take as well as give it! I felt so bad for her...her game face was on with her feet, hands and guns blazing!

Not the stereotypical feminist fantasy, as it was advertised. The -protagonist has to work for her gains and is bruised up along the way. Great performances and excellent musical score.
